Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort

I’ve stayed at Anantara in the past before with a friend, but this time it’s different. They have changed the management and chef and the food and breakfast buffet and the rooftop is now super fabulously awesome unlike few years before

I will definitely come back again. Stayed here with my cousin Athika just last week for a few days to relax and unwind and we had a BLAST

They even let her sing LIVE upstairs at the rooftop. POSITIVE vibes only

We had awesome jacuzzi time too the water was super hot so we had to turn it off but that is a good sign because it means they have great water system!

The Breakfast Buffet has a lot of choices and the price is worth for what you get. Great View of the seminyak Beach while feeling Nostalgic (breakfast buffet opens from 7am - 10.30 am) and they offer a lot of choices too.

The service and the people working there are so friendly accommodating and knowledgeable.

A cool place to lie quietly on the beach, and next to the pool. Free sun lounger and towel if you order something. There is no fixed amount. It’s very convenient, and since it’s located on the hotel grounds, I could easily leave my things. I don’t know about the hotel itself, I haven’t been. I took iced coffee and milkshake from the menu, very tasty

We stayed here for a few days after leaving Padma in Ubud. To say it lightly, we were extremely disappointed. You can tell the hotel was a 5-star resort at one point, but, unfortunately has not kept the cleanliness and up-to-date features you would see at a 5-star hotel. The hotel is getting some renovation currently, but they did not disclose that to us during check-in. Construction starts at 8: 15am and lasts until about 8pm some nights. So if you needed a nap during your stay, it’s not going to happen! There is a ton of old water damage throughout the rooms/hotel, rust build up, mildew smells, and stained towels/sheets. We arrived to a room that had ants throughout. Also, the shower and bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. We heavily considered changing hotels but didn’t want to not be refunded (as we saw other people had this issue on previous reviews). Our neighbors caught their foot on a loose nail in the room from water damage to the floor. Also, I got food poisoning after eating at the breakfast buffet (but also was the only one in my party to get sick). The staff, though, are very friendly and the sunset view from the hotel is quite impeccable. The staff and location is about all this hotel has going for them. Would recommend staying somewhere else if at all possible.

My recent stay at what was supposed to be a luxurious 5-star hotel Anantara Seminyak, turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I cannot express enough how deeply disappointed I am with the uncleanliness of the staff, rooms, and the lack of any form of satisfactory customer service during my stay.

Upon arrival, it was evident that the hotel was not living up to its prestigious reputation. It was clear that personal hygiene and cleanliness were not a priority for them.

The bed sheets emitted an unmistakable stench of sweat. It was evident that they had not been changed or properly cleaned in a long time. The overall cleanliness of the room was visible with dirt and dust in corners and on surfaces. It was a far cry from the pristine conditions one would expect from a 5-star establishment.

To add insult to injury, I requested a refund as I couldn’t stay one more night in this hotel and I was promised a refund will be credited to my account. 3 weeks have passed since and I have yet to receive my refund from them, when I contacted them they shared a screen shot of the transaction and what is even more shocking is that the accounts number the transaction was made to was not my account….

It is absolutely unacceptable that a supposedly prestigious hotel would allow such actions uncleanliness to persist and fail to address customer concerns in a satisfactory manner. As a guest, I expected a superior level of service and an experience that would justify the high price tag. Unfortunately, Anantara Seminyak failed to deliver on all fronts.

I strongly advise against considering Anantara Seminyak for your accommodations. The uncleanliness of the staff and rooms, combined with the offensive odor and the lack of any form of refund or resolution, make it abundantly clear that this establishment is far from deserving of its 5-star rating. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a hotel that prioritizes cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Guyss this is the bestest place i live in bali believe me the environment, the food, services and vibe’s everything is on 12/10 believe me also I lost something very very important and the hotel staff was kind and honest enough to give it back. Otherwise my whole life be can be spoiled or something do a guys your favour go and must visit or stay this place you will never regret it. Believe me

I know very well the hotels of the Anantara chain and this one has nothing to do with this chain. Unless Anantara has decided to partner with the temporary 3* hotels that we generally avoid when we think of holidays.

The hotel does not have its own beach. It is in front of the public beach.

The hotel has a small swimming pool and it is on the public beach parking lot!

Positive reviews are bought and it's obvious.

The reception toilets are so dirty that we went out. Cockroaches roam freely.

It is a transit hotel well placed on the street equivalent to a 2* hotel at the station.

It's just a perfect location to enjoy the food, coffee, and sunset. The room is spacious in a nice setup

Book the Seafood BBQ buffet through Chopee. It was 50% on food only. The ambience was awesome and the staff was friendly and professional. The buffet spread could be better but for the price it was ok. Right by the beach so it was pretty nice.

We had spa here and the place is very kid friendly for spa. Our daughter did spa with us. However, the price was also very excessive for Bali. We did once as an experience and we didn’t check the price. We probably would t do it again as it was not value for money.

My Brothers ex-wife, Carolyn & his daughter Anastasia are staying in this luxurious resort! It looks seriously relaxing!

I tried their dessert yesterday. Looks like a cake but it made from ice cream. So delishhhh. Better to share with one friend because the portion is quite big. Awesome.

Great service, large but slightly old rooms. There's an offer on Entertainer App which eases the strain on the wallet.

I wouldn’t use luxury to describe this hotel. The rooms are very big and the hotel is directly on the beach, sounds good right? But things are getting old. The bedroom had a las vegas feel to it in the sense of “very very used and abused”. The kids in the pool were playing with the tiles that fell from it. The ice cream on the menu was horrible. When you arrive they talked about a complementary massage, but then told us it wasn’t available. The wifi in the bedroom was non existant. The breakfast is varied and has a great view. To me this is not a five star hotel. It was an expensive disappointment.

So loving it, you won't be able to find other hotel resort or villa 1KM from here and get same nor enchanting than this place, it was an old hotel but they're keeping thing renovated the only thing missing around here is and the only one is STANDARD, basicly on everything let's just keep rolling one by one from front to the back of this grand Palace of anantara seminyak

Its all basicly on my opinion so look from my opinion before you judge it

Shuttle (payable) : if you pick up someone from airport, do you think its a proper etiquette to wait the guest at the parking lot in your car? Or it will be great if you waited and hold up your hotel sign at front of arrivals? Tell me

Building design: it's old and shabby and very strange but who am I to judge if I only stay 3 nights

Front desk: yeah it's not literally on front or first sight of hotel and it's literally us (guest) have to pick they up

Restaurant: basically you'll only hear what's your room number like once or thrice at hotel or just a few dozen time at an old hotel like this and their server and all restaurants staff seems only to be busy with their own world specially after they ask you something like want to drink coffee or tea and you just ask for like a water you'll be waiting area of served. The food? Im very regrets to breakfasting my intermittent fasting

Public space: like I said on the design + you should ban staff or exact thing to ride lift and make sure all places have direction sign

Room: today house keeping might disagree with yesterday house keeping in laying out my room and cleaning my room it's like they're having some sort of argument to decide what's the standard for cleaning my room like placement of glass, water! And the most of all I tag my bed sheets with some special tag and I found it only 3 night I stay not once my bed sheets been changes that good because I need that kind of relationship with old owner of this sheets and all the flea

Room space: it pretty cool I just need to call 6 time of engineering to teach me how to use their AC, place connect your Bose stuff to tV, why the WiFi is much faster on 3G and 3 times of house keeping to change bed cover that basically have a big hole on it

Room feature: no changing temperature AC, a very hard smell of jacuzzi bubble only before 1 times of everyday you start it, a quick changing water temperature from 80 Celsius to 30 in 30 minutes, a plug and play shower with hidden features only for some users, a slow flush toilet, a non aromatherapy joss stick same goes to aromatherapy water, spacious guests room

Spa: is it a spa or I just put a massaging space in a roof top and decorate it nicely and make sure when you're breakfast you'll be atracted by my staff that being nicely to ask you to book a massage session

Gym: so so

Yoga on morning: cool

Sunset: the best

Hospitality: 9/10

What am I to judge a hotel with a decade of experience and a half staff that have been working a decade over.

Grand entrance with great service staff! Located right on the beach, a definite plus waking up to the ocean and falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves.

We booked the Ocean Suite, however for the price we paid we were expecting a more unblocked view of the ocean. We were in room 303.

The room is big and spacious with a huge bathroom with separate shower and bath. Comes with a walk in wardrobe too.

However it wasn’t luxe enough based on the price we paid. Limited elevators which were slightly old.

Breakfast quality, both buffet and ordered from menu, were not up to par.

Service staff are wonderful. Always friendly and ready to help.

Would definitively stay again for the right price and no breakfast.

What a great place to stay! The hotel has a beach on its one end, the staff is super super polite. The food is amazing! Although there's a limited menu for the 'vegans' but other than that, its amazing! The ambience is very pleasant, and one should definitely select this resort to have a relaxing vacation.

Hotel yg bagus, menarik dan lokasi strategis. Staff nya ramah-ramah, makanan OK dan rooftop nya keren. Hny saja butuh perbaikan dan perbaharuan segera berhub sdh nampak tua dan bbrp areal kurang bersih. Bagus jg utk keluarga.

The rooms are huge and nice and location right on the beach however, the rooms are getting really old. Bath and shower was dirty and old and the pool is also getting old with broken tiles. We stayed in the Ocean View room which had a beautiful view, but was extremely noisy at night with loud techno music all night. We live in the city so are used to loud but this was so loud it was like you were in the nightclub when trying to sleep at night. Moonlite bar/restaurant was nice and had good food. Other than that and given how expensive it is to stay, we are extremely disappointed in the quality and don't recommend staying here.

Pros: Spacious rooms, located right on the beach, good view for sunset, friendly staff
Cons: Hot water kept going in and out. Not enough towels but you can call for more. Poor entertainment center in room. Speaker kept going in and out while watching tv, small day bed, and hot tub isn't comfortable.

They have daily morning yoga for only 50k idr! And it was really refresh your mind body and soul. I love it

Problem with parking space, but they provide free valet parking, very professional staff, room always clean

This is a truly well run and well designed resort with fabulous Beach front and excellent dining. The local shopping and recreational activities are also near by. This is definitely a neighborhood for walking and the traffic is rather heavy, but once you're at Anantara why would you want to leave. Beautiful well appointed rooms. We loved it there.

Lovely hotel without the price being hefty, or at least for our stay in April. Would definitely reccomend this hotel with a chilled infinity pool to swim in with views of the beach and a jacuzzi on everyone's balcony. Every room has pretty much the same layout. Only difference is the lounge area, some have a bigger lounge with sofas in rooms than others. Also recommend to become a GHA Platinum member to get use of local experiences!

I didn’t stay at the hotel.just went for the food and view. The view for sunset was pretty. The food was decent. Service was on point. Will return
