This was my first tattoo done overseas and Ridho was a breeze to work with. He was calm, friendly and patiently answered any questions I had. His linework is super amazing and I loved how it turned out. Received many compliments about it too! My first tattoo ever and I am totally in love with it. My Artist was Ryan and he was so very sweet! We had discussions about what I wanted and he designed exactly what I had in mind. He was very kind and I had such an amazing experience there at Artful Ink. All the team and the artists were very nice and the studio had such a great atmosphere. 10/10 I highly recommend.

Got my first tattoo here, would totally recomend. Tommy was my artist and he did a custom piece for me. He was super friendly, super light with tattooing making it not hurt at all, super artistic with creating what i had envisioned for my half sleeve. Vibes were high and LIT at this place. My experience at Artful Ink was as good as it could have been. All of the staff are kind and accommodating. I got a tattoo from Yana (@aksonovatattoo) a month ago and she exceeded all expectations. So much so, I ended up coming back to get another tattoo from her She's a lovely human being and one of the best tattoo artists in Bali.

I had the best time at Artful Ink and left with a fantastic tattoo. I was only in Bali for a short time, and my artist Pupha (@puphtoding) was able to work with my busy schedule so I could get the most out of my vacation and leave with some amazing art. Pupha is not only a talented artist but went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable in the chair as well. He was easy to talk to and knowledgeable about placement and ink longevity. I will definitely be coming back and love my new ink.

From the first contact the experience was very professional. They gave me loads of info including pricing and approximate hours to complete. I booked with Viktor, who is a fantastic artist and designed the perfect tattoo for me. The experience was great for a first tattoo, can't wait to complete the design on my next trip to Bali.

Great studio! Incredible artists. Super easy to work with, husband had 2 6 hour sessions over two days and the staff are lovely. He absolutely loves his tattoo he had with Ryan, we are already planning another trip to come back and see Ryan so he can complete more on this leg.

Tattoo in Bali - Artful Ink is the place to go. My experience at Artful Ink was an absolute delight. This was my 2nd time here, earlier in 2019 and now again in 2023. The studio is first class; excellent artists, an amazing place, great ambience, everybody is super polite and respectful. Happy and smiling faces everywhere. Viktor, absolutely nailed my design and completed it in a very timely manner, I am so unbelievably impressed my his work and he’s friendly aura, I felt very safe and reassured I was in safe hands, I’ll be going back again!

I can definitely recommend this studio and the talented artist Aleksey. I showed Aleksey a picture of a phoenix I found on the internet and in just 4 hours he created a piece of art from it that covers my entire shoulder and arm. Super hygienic and comfortable temperatures in the work area. Really really happy!

I kid you not when i say everything was perfect the moment you step into the studio. I just got my first tattoo there on 16 December 2022. Victor Cot was my tattoo artist and he did an amazing job with it. I would highly recommend yall to get your tattoo there and him as your tattoo artist.

This is one of the coolest and cleanest studio you will find anywhere. The experience from booking the appointment, consult to the work was exceptional. It’s so stylish and the artist I met match that in spades. To Lil Ucha - I don’t know how you manage to stay so focused and professional through the day. The work you did for me was exceptional and I loved your input to create a piece that was more than I could hope. I’ll be back again shortly and we can keep working on it.

I got 2 tattoos here and I absolutely love the result! Ucha, the artist, was so friendly and helpful in assisting me adjusting the designs I provided and he did everything pretty quickly with a lot of details. The place is cozy, neat and clean so you won't have to worry about hygiene. It's also located on the main street so it's not hard at all to spot this studio. Apart from tattoo, they also provide piercing services and honestly I'm already tempted getting some after I talked to the piercer. He's also very friendly and gave me a lot informations about piercing styles and recommended me some piercings that would suit my style and aesthetic. Definitely going back there for more ink or piercing later. Thank you guys for making it a great experience!

Sukliwon is a fantastic piercer. He explained everything to me so that I felt comfortable, and his technique meant that my tragus piercing was far less painful than I expected (photo is from straight after it was done, that's why it's a little red). He also gave me great instructions for aftercare, meaning it's healed quickly with no problems - would highly recommend!

Super friendly staff, world class artists, and stunning studio. I wouldn't get tattooed anywhere else in Bali! Highly recommended.

Without a doubt one of the best most professional tattoo and piercing studios I've been to (I have been to quite a few around the world)
The personal attention and sensitivity from the staff and the owner is absolutely 5 star. In can be daunting to be tattooed in a different country, but these guys are amazing and their attention to detail is beyond fantastic.

I return to Artful Ink because they genuinely care about their clients.from the moment you contact them through to the time that you leave the studio, they treat you like family.

If an Artist is working at Artful Ink, you know they are the cream of the crop. For my most recent piece of work, i had a cover up designed and tattooed by Ryan and I couldn't be happier with the art and the attention to detail of the work.

Got my very first tattoo here. The result is amazing, just like what i was imagine i want it to be. Pretty nervous because it was my very first time, the tattoo artistst gave me a little test, a littel injection to my skin, to see if my skin is sensitive or not. Wait about an hour, and i found my self was doing fine, and then i made the tatttoo. I am so satisfied about the result, and the profesionalism when my tattoo healed there was a little blurred ink, kind of mixed betwen two colors, but the studio promised me a free retouch anytime when i come back to Bali again, that was very profesional, good job

My second time with artist Tommy aka @dostoevsky_artem and won’t be the last!
He is just amazing, he takes care of all the details, he makes sure that his customers are Good at all times, he have loads of patience and his work is just mind blowing. I’m so happy to have two pieces of him and as I said won’t be the last.

Had a tattoo done there in April 2018 with Artem (1/4 sleeve) and February 2020 with Ilya (Also a 1/4 sleeve), both of the times came out very happy, boys done a great job, had great attention to detail, their speed was incredible and even great people to talk to during the session. Lucky for me I was able to fit in a walk in session, excellent service from all staff, make you feel comfortable n tattoo quality meets expectations. They take care of you. Had the best experience at Artful Ink from the beginning! Excellent communication while booking my appointment and felt at ease when I was at the studio. Ryan, the artist listened to what I wanted in the design and took his time executing the piece. The after care bag was very much appreciated and contributed to my tattoo healing perfectly! I would highly recommend this studio!

I could really care less about pleasantries so I’m just going to comment about why I only gave this place 3 stars.

First off, 5 stars to my artist Ilya! (Ig Ilyaframetattoo) Great work and very kind. 4 stars to how the studio conducts business. I got an appt at 430pm.waited a bit which is okay, not an issue. My issue is this: I asked the receptionist (appt was 2/25/2020 at 430pm and whoever was assigned at that time) how they charged, after waiting a bit from my initial 430pm appt, she told me that they start the hourly rate once we start tattoing (Not a novice when it comes to getting tattoed so I knew what and when to ask such questions). I have no issues paying for good work but I have issues when businesses are not upfront with their charges. I took a video of the time we started tattoing at 540pm and finished at 658pm. An hour and 18 mins for a small tattoo with not much details only outlines and shading (which my artist did a great job on!) but was charged 2 hours. Ilya initially told the receptionist 1 hour (which was correct and I would have still been okay with 1.5 hours price additional) but the receptionist pushed back and said 2 hours. I did not want to give the artist who did my tat issues, so I did not argue with how much the recptionist charged me. All is well but I do wish the business is more upfront and honest with their hourly charges.

Giving 5 stars because the owner of the shop, Kiara, reached out to me and corrected the issue and even offered to refund the 2nd hour coz she wanted me to have my first Bali tat experience to be a great one!
And indeed, it is now truly a great one!
Great artist, great location and very clean (forgot to mention in initial post- also I’m a nurse based in the USA and I can give the cleanliness an A+!) and very accommodating owner and hands on!

From the warm welcome at the reception to the very patient artist Pupha who took the time to adjust the tattoo to my liking and made sure that I was 100% happy with it before even starting. I’m really happy with my tattoo. At Artful Ink the staff are so nice and you can get a coffee there as well. Tommy who did my tattoo met me and we talked about what I’d like. He came up with a beautiful design which I loved. He worked so well and kept checking if I was feeling alright. You are charged by the hour so you know you’re not being cheated. Also, they give you a pack to help heal the tattoo. I like that this whole idea is so well thought out that it even caters for people who are travelling so you get the balm in a tube that you can carry on the plane.

Had a friend recommend this studio knowing competition is quite high and to be honest I cannot fault anything about Artful Ink. They are a funky crew. Friendly from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave and fun.

I went here a few months ago on holiday and loved it! Amazing place! Staff super friendly! Only issue was getting charged about $50 for my own artwork. Got charged as they 'redrew my work to sharpen lines'. Couldn't believe I had to pay for my own design. Pity as the rest of the experience was great.

Got one of my tattoo's here back at the start of January by Denis. Absolutely amazing work. Studio is the cleanest I've ever been to also. Could not recommend this place enough based on the amazing artists working here

Got small fine line tattoos there from Denis.before i decided, i checked the profiles and the previous works from each artists and i think i choose the right person:) thought i would be ignored by getting small ones cause i saw lots of HUGE works going on there but Denis was really sweet and very careful.and i could see that he was putting all the efforts to make every step super hygiene and safe. They even provided after care kit with instruction which was very helpful. Highly recommend. I'm really happy with my new tattoos.

A fabulous experience from beginning to end, first ink I've had so very naive to the whole process, all the staff where attentive and thorough. The initial design and positioning of the tattoo actually doing the tattoo and the aftercare was a seamless excersize.

Got my first ever tattoo at Artful ink Bali! I booked in about 8 weeks in advanced over email and it was a very easy process. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff and am over the moon with the final result! The best studio in Bali and I will be back!

Best experience I had for a tattoo so far. The artists are all so talented, amazing work. Additional to this the studio is super available, and organizes everything for you, from the brainstorm and drawing of the tattoo until after the tattoo when they give you a pre-packed bag with all instructions about your new tattoo + cream and soap to put on it! (complementary)

Wanted to get a tattoo on Bali from the start, but I’m so happy I waited until I visited Artful Ink. The shop is beautiful, clean and the lady at the desk made us feel welcome from the start, which I knew beforehand because she responded to my thousand emails from the start! Rafa was still eating his pizza when we arrived, so we had time to get to know eachother beforehand. Rafa is a straightforward dude with loads of experience which you can tell immediately. I’m very happy with the tattoo and would recommend Artful Ink to everybody!

Did a cover up at Artful with Irina during my trip to Bali, I wasn’t expecting much but the tattoo turn out to be really really amazing, took us about 7 hours but it’s all worth it! Best tattoo studio I have ever been to. Olga listened to my ideas for the design and made an amazing drawing. On the day of the tattoo placement I wanted to change some things on the design and she did it without a problem. I was nervous, but I felt immediately better once I arrived at the studio and I saw how they worked, how clean and hygienic it was. I couldn’t have been happier with my tattoo. I had my ink in June 19 and was very impressed by the professional advice and after care that was provided. The studio thoughtfully handed every customer an aftercare goodie bag. Throughout the experience the artists and staffs were all helpful and welcoming during discussion of designs.
My friends and I visited a few other studios to have work done in Bali but I would dare say Artfulink's process and service is the best out of them all.
Now we are in Sep 19 and the staffs are still checking on the recovery process to ensure that customers are satisfied with their art work. Kudos to their professionalism

I started looking for a tattoo shop in Bali a few months before I arrived. I did my usual search method ("what is the best _ in _? ") and Artful Ink was listed as one of the best tattoo shops in Bali with consistent positive reviews. I looked over the Instagram accounts and online portfolios of artists at other shops, and all the artists at Artful Ink, and ultimately booked with Bobby based on the quality and style of his work.

I emailed the shop to inquire about making an appointment, cost, etc, and they were thorough about all the details and just really easy to communicate with. By the time of the consultation appointment I had a good idea of what I wanted. I met Bobby at the shop and told him my thoughts. He took more pics of my ankle, described his vision and made sure I was clear, and happy, with what he was thinking. I'd seen his portfolio and I had no doubt that I was going to like whatever he presented.

I didn't see the sketch until the day of my tattoo appointment (I was staying up in Ubud) and I was stoked with what Bobby had come up with. It was intricate yet not overdone, and would blend in well with the two older tattoos I was covering. He worked steadily and patiently for over 4 hours, checked his work consistently, and prioritized the end result over everything.

Before you depart they give you soap, bottled water, and the after-care cream they prefer you to use.in other words, they don't just recommend what to do, they give you all the tools you need to take care of your piece properly (I like proactive measures). The shop is clean, the staff is really friendly, and the quality of Bobby's work was superb. I definitely recommend them.
