Astagina Resort Villa and Spa Bali

Absolutely loved it, everyone was lovely and professional. The reception staff, room service, restaurant staff, spa staff were all wonderful. Food was delicious, the massages and facials exceptional. The rooms lovely, and the hotel grounds beautiful.

We loved everything about the resort. We had a ground floor room next to the pool. The room was lovely and the bed super comfortable. A very good selection for breakfast and the freshly made omelettes were delicious. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful. The only small negative is that you only get 1 room key and it's not possible to get a second one but it wasn't a huge issue.

A true Bali experience, from the time you arrive there to leaving, their customer service is off the charts. Always smiling and willing to exceed expectations.

They give you 15% vouchers to use but then forget to remind you when you charge amounts to the room that you can apply the 15% on the bill. When they clearly know. Big rip off.
Do not book any tours through the hotel either as we got ripped off and taken advantage of. Majority of staff were friendly but one lady at the reception Suratni, did not help or compensate us in any way for our bad experience.
There were also rats by the pool too.
The rooms was always clean though. Overall if they looked after us for the bad experience my review would of been a lot better.

Very affordable hotel with a short walk to the fantastic beach. The hotel area is well secluded in a tropical setting, nice pool. The traffic is heard very little.

Loved our room, hotel staff were always happy and helpful. Room cleaning is questionable as an item seemed to go missing, and purfum seems to have been decanted but I can't say for sure it was at this hotel or the last we stayed at. We did also overhear another guest arguing with reception saying her travel money was stolen. We used the safes provide religiously for the rest of our stay.

On a positive, the hotel does look gorgeous, as does the rooms. The only real down side was that it was very hard to get the water the right temperature and water pressure was low in our room.

In any case, this was the only down side, all other aspects of the hotel were spot on. It exceeded my expectations and so it gets the 5 stars. We would stay here again.

Great location, only a minute walk from a main street with markets, restaurants and salons, and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Great staff and very clean facilities. The pool bar was exceptional. There is a normal pool and a family pool, though there are no rules against children in the main pool with the bar which made drinks hard to enjoy. The breakfast is served as a buffet, they seem to cook the food in bulk and then serve it and so it gets very cold very quickly and doesnt seem to be good quality. Otherwise a good experience.

Out of our 4 weeks trip to indonesia this was the wordt hotel and also the most expensive one. The location is not great, service not what you expect from a 4 star hotel, bathrooms are terrible and the breakfast is about 11 usd (which is very expensive in indonesia) and they dont even fill it, so if you come in the last hour chances are there is no fruit and croisants left. We stayed here with 7 persons and booked 4 times breakfast included. I chose to eat breakfast around the corner each day at sacred ground, its way cheaper and way better. Also dont book anything trough the hotel, a boat to nusa penida costs half of the price if you book it somewhere else, same with renting scooters.

Internet sucks! Worst ever and very slow! It always stops and we lose connection! Staff was good and kind but very amateur! They need some education! Rooms are fine, pool is so small! Tea time is a extra and free! I have 1 bad experience! I paid 20k for the buck of ice first day and then second day they asked me 25k for the same buck! So i was little disappointed! I dont like that tricky things! And some people shout, sing a song loudly until morning but no hotel staff warned them! It was crazy. I couldnt sleep! Its close to city center but me personally will choose better hotel bext time!

Great little spot off the main strip down a long private driveway. Staff are very friendly and food is good. Some bits and pieces in the room could be polished. Showerer wasn't perfectly clean nor was the tap on the vanity and around the base. Mirror was delaminating on the bottom too but nothing that would irritate greatly especially noting the price and quality of all other things in the resort. Over all very relaxing spot to come and stay if you don't want to be directly on the beach or main road. I'd come back.

A beautiful and secluded resort nestled off the main crazy streets of this area. When you drive down the street that leads to the entrance of the hotel you would never imagine that such a beautiful property awaits you at the end. The property has really done a beautiful job of making this a hidden oasis. The pool is such a fun place and if you go early enough you can get one of the day beds and be able to enjoy the sun all day long. The beds in the rooms are extremely comfortable, one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in while in SE Asia. The breakfast is delicious and if you are in town when they have a Balinese Dinner Show I definitely would suggest going as they are so much fun and a wonderful way to experience the Balinese culture!

Great location, in the heart of legian. Good service, spacious rooms and gorgeous pool and daybeds. Our room was great except for the nails from the floorboards were sticking out - probably wood worn out over time. Dangerous and risk of foot injury. Other than that - great stay!

Place is beautiful and amazing to stay. Breakfast is OKAY. Beware of the water you ask for.they have a limit and keep changing it.

Private, classy, and secure! Very worthwhile and a good price. Lounge by the pool for some relaxing, quiet times, but grab drinks by the beach.

We stayed 7 nights in April. Had the best time. Clean, friendly, amazing grounds, rooms are beautiful. Will d3finately stay again.
