Ayung Resort Ubud

We had the most amazing last 8 days of our honeymoon at Ayung! Everything was absolutely sensational from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Every single member of staff was fantastic, the food and in particular breakfast was delicious every single day with so much choice. The facilities were stunning and we couldn’t have been happier to stay. Everyone truly went above and beyond to make our honeymoon magical and we are forever grateful. Thank you so much to you all.

What a amazing experience to have 3 days at this resort.

Everything is perfect and beautiful.

Location reminds me a lot of Tamara in Coorg. Amidst forest, with rooms and facilities set on rolling side of a hill (nice little trek or get a buggy). It's a bit away from Ubud (12 kms) - there's a shuttle service that drops off twice a day. Or, you could rent a scooter like we did.

Amazing service. The staff is so friendly and there are so many little touches, like remembering your name. And the fact that they could pronounce my full name near perfection blew my mind

The food is pretty exceptional, with a fairly substantial vegetarian menu. It is delicious and screams quality. Loved the evening tea with many little snacks and treats.

Rooms are slightly dated but they are clean and well maintained.

An exceptional experience. Great staff, super restaurant and beautiful views of the jungle. It’s an ideal place to relax.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding service, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner has a beautiful view overlooking the jungle and the Ayung river. The food is great and they offer local and western food. Breakfast is ala card style but you can order as much as you like. Ubud village is a 15 minute drive. We also hiked around the hotel through the rice fields and met friendly local people. (A nice 20 minute walk leads you to a great coffee place: Edery café, overlooking rice fields) All in all we had a wonderful stay here.

Resor mewah yang desain interiornya classy dengan ukiran kayu, terdapat tempat gym juga, pokoknya keren bener

This is the best hotel we stay, quiet, greens, surroundings by forest & picturesque Bali village. Breakfast foods are the best you can choose Balinese or western, free village tour with Guide on Wednesday & Friday, free bus to Ubud center at 10am or 4pm, back on 4: 45 which 30’ away. Free some snacks in fridge that my son loves. Hotel also close to many attractions among Ubud. We did have 02 dinners at hotel & the food also Good. The facility is not so new but in good conditions.

Resort yang luar biasa memberikan pengalaman lengkap akan keindahan pemandangan Ubud. Nilai penuh untuk keramahan dan interior vila.

The building is a bit old but if you want to experience peaceful. This is your good choice if you want to stay in Ubud

Beautiful resort, great service and views. Highly recommend for relaxing and enjoyable Balinese experience. The staff were incredibly attentive especially the ones driving the buggies, the staff at the restaurant, reception and the spa.

Salah satu hotel terbaik yg ada di wilayah ubud, terletak diataa sungai Ayung, Hitel ini memiliki pemandangan yang sangat indah karena dibangun diantara pepohonan yang tumbuh alamai di daerah twraebut, staff nya juga sangat ramah, pelayananya agt memuaskan. Salah satu tempat berlibur yang agt recomended di daerah Ubud trutama bagi wisatawan yang benar benar ingin menikmati ketenagan alam pedesaan.

Pelayanan yang sangat baik, ramah, kamar bersih tempat yang tenang, sayangnya restoran belum buka seperti semula. Lebih baik membawa makanan sebelum masuk hotel

Ayung resort ubud merupakan resort bintang 5. Kalau mempunyai budget lebih bolehlah memilih ayung resort ubud menjadi pilihan untuk menginap.

Pelayanan dari petugasnya sangat baik dan ramah. Resort ini juga memberikan tea time pukul 4 sore sampai jam 6 sore dengan gratis.

Deferred maintenance and poor location. We reserved a private suite for three nights for the last splurge of our honeymoon. This hotel was at all not worth the money spent.

To start, The road in to it is very poor quality and you will bottom out on a scooter.
If you are at the lower property you pretty much need a ride up to the lobby.
If you want a ride into town it they charge you per person which is asinine as no other hotel we’ve stayed at does this.
The thing that made us leave was all the deferred maintenance. (Pictures below) they pushed toilet paper into holes to keep out mosquitoes but even then the cracks through the broken doors let in more bugs. The walkways have not been cleaned for a while. The indoor floors are stained.
Many of these things are totally acceptable in a lower priced hotel but this one is VERY expensive and this should not be the case. We we told this to the staff they said there was nothing they could do because we used our points to purchase it and was non refundable. Our bank persuaded this on our behalf but the hotel has refused to refund us. They claimed they had no manager on site. And REFUSED TO REIMBURSE us. Very poor customer service and very poor value. I can back up all of this through documentation. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I am writing this review after only a single day in the resort, it is already a beyond impressive experience. The service is well above anything expected, we were very late to check in at 2.00 in the night, and not only the team went outside their schedule and had our ordered food waiting, but food was also amazing cooked and both steaks were tender and delicious. It is also our honeymoon and the management offered a lot of amazing extras again beyond anything i have seen so far in any place i have been. The deluxe pool room is big and prestine clean and just out of a dream with view in jungle and a perfectly sized and clean waterpool. The bathroom also looking at the nature, again out of a dream. Highly recommended.

My wife described it as a mini oasis. Awesome staff. Awesomre service. If you want a place to chill and not want to leave, this is the place. Spent eight nights and went out once, as we did not want to explore much.

Beautiful place in the middle of the jungle. A lot of arts and craft around the entire property which makes every walk around very interesting and you can discover new pieces all the time.
Staff is exceptionally friendly and helfpul. The restaurant is great but too expensive for our taste. Although the food was good, we paid more than in some nice upscale places on Munich.
In total, we were really happy with our stay but there is one thing that needs to be pointed out:
Ayung Resort ist located near the River Ayung. Since this river is known for rafting and swinging activities, it is never quiet throughout the day. We spent 2 days at the pool and we’re hearing rafters scream every few minutes from 10am till 4pm or so.
It is not so bad that you cannot enjoy your vacation, however do not expect total tranquility (which the Resort is advertising).

Beautiful hotel grounds, pool and surroundings. Very tranquil location, if a little remote from Ubud centre but there is a shuttle bus which works well. Great place to get away from it all. Room large and comfortable, shower excellent. Perhaps a little dated but clean and well appointed. Food is really good and with a package we had free breakfast and high tea. A beer is around £3 and a cocktail£6. Cocktails need work so stick to spirit and mixer. Staff are fabulous.attentive without being cloying. I'd recommend this place to anyone.and it's extremely cheap for what you get. 5*. Without hesitation.

Nice resort, quiet with beautiful vegetation. The pool is big and not busy. The rooms are big and clean, the villas are in traditional bali designs. Breakfast has a lot of option and taste nice. The gym is a bit outdated though and the yoga class very beginner level. The staff are super friendly

Excellent for a relaxing weekend. Good spa treatment and no need to leave the resort.

This is a real paradise! Staff is very friendly, helpful and everybody is so nice! Food is very delicious! Those views are spectacular! I just fall in love with this place and definitely will be back here!

NOT A 5 STAR. Left after 1 hour. <br/>Hotel: To look at on the drive in, it is lavish by some people's standards, not ours. Quite OTT and the large sculptures looked more pretentious rather than unique and inviting. <br/>Welcome: Cold, robotic and just strange. The member of staff was less than welcoming which is strange for Bali. If you want a shuttle into Ubud, you need to pay for the return part of the journey AND book an hour in advance. <br/>Our Room: We were taken by golf cart and taken a long way round to be shown an Art gallery on site and given a sales pitch if we want to buy anything. The room itself was the tipping point. My partner had booked this for our anniversary and the room was nothing like the pictures. Not 5 star at all. Nails sticking out of the bed posts (apparently to hang mosquito nets). Rose filled bath was less than half the petals in there. The room itself was so tired. With two locks on the balcony door, one chain like - making it look unsightly. The view was ruined by jungle swings, again not advertised. <br/>We then entered into a long 2 hour battle with the hotel. We just wanted to leave- this may seem excessive but it wasnt. We felt cheated and had just stayed at Dwaraka Royal suites and was blown away. And it's a 4 star. Was disgusted by management.we had to go back and forth between them and Agoda to ask them for a refund and to let us go. They refused and said we had to stay and after a long debate, waiting and many phone calls, they forced us to pay for one night even though at this point we were there for 20 mins. We just wanted to get the hell out so we paid and left. The treatment should tell any sensible traveller the quality of this hotel. I'm from London and travel a fair bit and take this stuff seriously. You dont market a place as 5 star and present such a shoddy room and expect customers to pay so much for it. We went straight back to Dwaraka. Do yourselves a favour, and book there.
