Balangan Wave Surf School

Thank you Dika for a great surfing lesson, friendly service and atmosphere! We were regulars here during our trip. We took one surfing lesson and then rented boards for the rest of our time in Bali. We were given great advice regarding the waves and what time and location is the best for a specific level of surfers. I’m sorry, I forgot my swimming shoes there. Realised it on my way to the airport.

One of my highlights in Uluwatu was the Balangan Wave Surf School. In particular, it was an honour for me to have Dika as my surf instructor. He is an incredibly nice and funny person. Thanks to his experience and his very good lessons, I have made great progress in a very short time. He gave me very good tips and always made sure you had fun. Can only recommend everyone to learn to surf with Dika.

Beware this club is a scam!
Rental prices are in the region of 100k per hour, but they are dishonest!
The fins are badly fixed and they charge for the lost fins (200k).
In addition to being dishonest they are unpleasant, and quickly become aggressive.

Meeting Dika of Balangan Wave Surf School was one of the highlights of our stay in Bali. My 12-year-old son took lessons with him and I tagged along with them. Most days we drove to the East side of the peninsula looking for medium-sized conditions. He took us to challenging situations but got us out before it was dangerous, it was perfect. Thanks to his advice my son’s skills and confidence progressed. Thanks for the great time, in and out of the water!

I took a private beginner lesson with this school and i am pretty disappointed. The monitor was on his phone for 10min at the beginning, then explained very quickly few things and went to the water.
The forecast and conditions were really good to surf but the instructor wasn't professional at all and not friendly. Rent a surfboard would be almost the same. I could feel that they just want my money.

Cool surf school with friendly and profesionnal instructors. We were absolute beginners but got to learn fast and felt super safe with our teacher Haqi. We had a great time!
