Great team of instructors, we did advanced and beginner at the same time, kids had their instructors at the shore when mom and dad was further out. Great spot and the instructors was the top dogs and got the best waves for us every time:)

Great place to learn how to surf. The instructors are very friendly, knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor. I would also recommend to book a group lesson as a solo traveler as you’ll meet some great and interesting people.

Great surf school! Everything is explained patiently and very precisely and even as a complete beginner you feel safe and in good hands.
Great location on the shallow sandy beach, so little risk of injury.

Great experience! The instructor initially explains exercises on the beach, shows simulations in the sand, analyzes and gives feedback after each “ride”. From the third wave onwards, every 2nd-3rd.confessed

Had a great time with Bali Green Surf School - Sam is an excellent teacher for beginners, and we loved his teaching assistant who patiently sat with us whilst we learned the techniques and then joined us in the water

An absolutely incredible surf school, I can’t recommend enough. It was my first time surfing and Gerson & his team definitely brought the energy and good vibes. They made sure I was both safe/prepared and also encouraged me to push my limits, maintain my balance, and “look up! ” Hahahah. It’s in a great location right by the beach, they make sure you have bottled water and everything else you might need. Do not hesitate to book with Bali Green Surf School, they’re the best.

Had two days of surfing (2h each) with Jojo vom Bali Surf School.
It was a lot of fun and he was a really kind and patient teacher.
With his help we managed to ride our first waves in a very short time.
We can definitely recommend the surf school.

I can recommend the surf school to any aspiring surfer. The surf instructors are super patient and respond to each individual surf student. They are very focused on the success of each student. Furthermore, they are very funny and are always up for a joke.

Katu and Sam were amazing instructors for us! We happened to be in a group of 6, all first-time surfers, and they somehow found all the time and the waves for each of us to catch like 15-20 times. They gave great instructions, fun, constructive comments, and cheers every time we got up on our boards! AND, they ate so much salt water while holding our boards steady for us among some of the bigger waves.lol Maybe bring goggles to keep the super salty water out of your eyes? Other than that, 10/10 would recommend for any first-time surfer in Seminyak!: D

Unfortunately, my experience with Bali Green Surf School was way below expectations (2/5)
- Although there were supposed to be 2-3 people per teacher, in my class we were a group of 4
- The proposed time of the class was 10.00 so very soon it was low tide and we could not surf much. We surfed for approx 1h.
- The price charged is quite high (as a comparison, I had an excellent private (1-1) class in Canggu for 400k)
- There was no warm-up before the class and no basic explanations for safety, how to avoid large waves etc.
- There were very few tips during the class. The only comments I got were: paddle and stand up.

EDIT (4/5) : I got contacted by the school and they offered an free lesson or a refund and apologized for the experience.

The instructors were fun, patient and professional. We had so much fun learning from them over 3 days!

I went for 3 days back to back (exhausting, maybe take a rest if you have the time)
With no surfing experience, I could stand up after first day, start to turn by day 2 and be quite comfortable by day 3.

Learning with others is also good fun as you chat with your fellow learners and support each other. You don't really need to wait for each other much because it takes time for each surfer to make their way back.

Instructors were really cool guys. Helpful, good English and a good sense of humour.

What a great group of people! Super friendly and welcoming. I came back a handful of times. Would highly recommend.

Best surf school in Bali! I booked a one on one lesson for my son through whastapp the day before. Instructor Ketut was very nice, helpful and patient. My son loved it and learnt a lot with him! I made a mistake with payment and he had to come back to my hotel, always with a big smile. I highly recommend this school.

Sony is the man and we really loved surfing with him for 4 days! He has a great knowledge of the surf around different beaches and areas of Bali. We have stayed in touch and he has continued to make recommendations for us as we move around the island. He pushed us to improve in helpful ways, in fact he had me transition to a hardboard and it went quite well. I also had the pleasure of attending his birthday party, a barbecue at the surf shop, and you can tell this is a man loved and respected by his community. This is definitely a surf school worth supporting!

Had my first beginner surf course on September 3rd. Really recommend this surf school. My surf instructor August (I hope I remember the name correctly) was super nice, helpful and was able to teach me how to surf for the first time. I hope I can come back next year and learn to surf. Selamat jumpa.

I booked a one-on-one guiding session and was so happy with it that I came back the next day. Booking through WhatsApp was very responsive and efficient. My guide Sonny is an expert reader of the ocean and knew where to paddle to catch the waves away from the crowd. A few times, Sonny would suddenly tell me to paddle out hard before huge sets suddenly came in and wiped out the inattentive surfers. I was pretty grateful that wasn’t me
The beginners in the rest of the group also looked very happy with their session!

I can only recommend the surf school! The surf instructors are all very openminded and have all been surfing their whole lives and can therefore give very good tips for both beginners and advanced surfers. I decided to stay here for several weeks because the beach section is also great for surfing and there are good waves every day.
