Departure from Ubud around 2: 15 am. Wayan Trex (our driver) picked us up from our hotel and took us to the Geopark village where we were greeted with a coffee. Beginning of the hike around 3: 45 am. Our guide was very welcoming and very nice during the hike. He adapted to our speed and we took breaks when we wanted. Thanks again to the guide for all the photos he took of us
Our driver took us to our hotel around 10am
I recommend, very good experience.

They arranges two tours for us, Batur and Agung.
Batur was an easy walk, 90 minutes up 45 minutes down. The guide wanted to stop every ten to fifteen minutes but soon realized we just walk. We stopped at the summit for twenty minutes.
Agung was a more difficult trek. Our guide was excellent and highly recommended. Tough overnight ascent. Long route was ok up with clear weather. The final 300m got misty and the wind increased. No sunrise just fog. The long descent was made worse by fairly persistent rain which left us soaking wet. We had an amazing guide, Kariana (+62 878-6062-9285). The other guides seem to go out too fast for their guests, with the inevitable consequences. You need to set the pace. Slow and steady gets you there! The timings are off. We stopped two times on the ascent. For ten minutes and then forty minutes waiting for the right time for sunrise and then 20 mins on the summit. Overall 5.30 up and 5.00 down.

We also watched the most beautiful sunrise in Bali and it was really beautiful. Unfortunately you can tell that it is a tourist hotspot, so there were what felt like 100 jeeps at Sunset Point and many of them were just there for a quick insta photo and didn't want to enjoy the moment, well that Breakfast was OK and tasted good. After breakfast we were taken to the black lava fields, which was also very interesting. The guide was nice and accommodating, but we had the impression that he wasn't really motivated. After that, we wanted to go to the hot springs rather than to the hot springs See the waterfall and after a short consultation with our very friendly driver, that wasn't a problem and we also looked at the largest waterfall in Bali. It was a very nice day with lots of impressions. All in all, the trip is highly recommended if you don't have a problem with a lot of them people has

We opted to do camping for mount agung and I’m really glad we did that as everyone returning were exhausted when doing the direct tour (summit and return in one day) The camping was an amazing experience with special thanks to our tour guide (Gede) and porter for an amazing tour, camp site and delicious food. Well worth the money!

Thank you Pak Gede for taking care of us! Super accommodating, the boys were fun and we had a great time at black lava and black sand

The communication in advance per WhatsApp works easy.
We met in a nice restaurant, where we got coffee, water, flashlight and also a hikking stick.which was very helpful.our guide was Adi.he is the perfect guide you can wish for hikking a vulcano. His english is great and he tooks care of us. The agency takes care, that the group is not bigger than 5 people what is great. We was only 3 people this morning. I really enjoyed that we hiked a way where was almost no other people, so we was hiking both ways almost alone! Also at the top Adi decided for places which wasn't crowded at all.he provide a nice and warm:) breakfast, took pictures and had fun with us. I can really recommend to book the tour here.

The ride from hotel to mountain was good. The hot coffee before the trek was delicious. The trek guide was very helpful. However, it was so nice breakfast on Mt Batur. Also, they serve any hot beverages on top. It was very cold up there and it was so great sunrise

We had an amazing hike up to Mt Batur. Gede happily answered all of our questions about Balinese culture, and he made it even possible for us to be picked up in Ubud and dropped off in Amed. Thanks again! We were welcomed with a coffee and a snack, and had a fun time hiking up Batur. On the summit our friendly guide Adi made us a lovely breakfast perfectly timed for sunrise! Great place to book with!

I am traveling in SE Asia solo and here in Bali I've been searching for a trekking provider who wouldn't slam you with an "extra fee for solo travellers. " I found it to be really unfortunate and frustrating that on other sites/providers, solo travellers would have to bear the burden of paying more to have a meaningful experience. WHY? Well, I am pleased to say that not only did these guys fairly acknowledge this solo traveller conundrum, but they make it possible to avoid the extra fee and manage expectations very well through booking online (unlike other providers who were not clear or justified in this random fee). Anyway, I booked the trek with Bali Sunrise Trekking & Tours and I am SO glad I did. I really need to thank their wonderful team for a few things: 1) clear, direct, quick communication, 2) a well-organized and enjoyable process, and 3) kind, professional, and well-coordinated staff; it was clear that various people were involved to make our trek a smooth, once in a lifetime experience! It was my birthday, too, so the whole experience made me feel extra special. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

This is a professional company offering sunrise tours to Mount Batur. They picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the trek start point, plus return. The vehicle sits a maximum of six passengers plus a driver, and is air conditioned.

During the return trip, we stopped off at a coffee plantation where you can try 12 drinks for free. You have the option to buy other things, but the products are super expensive.

100% Highly recommended. Trusty and reliable!
Pick up and drop-off from hotel was timely, had a driver who spoke fairly fluent English.
Holding area before the hike was well refurbished as you can see from the photos! Hot coffee and some snacks were also served.
Very pleased with the well-organised service. If you wish to book, please book directly from Bali Sunrise Tours website.

This was the highlight of our trip!
The views were breathtaking.
We were so happy with this tour.
Pandodt and Patu (our tour guides) really looked after us and we had the best experience. I cannot thank Pandodt enough, he really helped us when we were struggling with the hike up and im glad we made it to the top with his help.
The tour was very challenging, but our guides were so friendly and patient with us.
I would highly recommend.
Thank you

Adi was our guide and soooo good! We got breakfast at the top. Banana toasted sammies, and Boiled eggs alongside some beng beng bars (such good confectionery!) we were puffed out at stages, Adi waited for us. If you aren't able to keep climbing there are locals on motorbikes who will take you (almost) to the top at a price, depending on how far you have to go.
Beautiful! If we had anything negative to say. Prob would've preferred plain toast with out Boiled eggs or egg toasted sammies so idlf that's our negative there literally isn't anything bad

The agency was very kind and efficient to find us quickly a guide in the afternoon. But this « guide » clearly from the beginning showed us that he would have preferred to be sleeping in the afternoon and started talking and complaining about money and warmth from the beginning to the top. When he was not complaining he was on the phone the whole time so no explanation as a guide should do. He was clearly in not a very good physical condition as we had to wait for him on the way (the walk is actually really easy during the day). What a waste of money on someone who clearly despises tourists and wants to take advantage of them with as less effort as possible. Guides should be well selected.

Used Bali Sunrise trekking tours and booked via Voyagin. I would suggest you book direct when you are in Ubud and not from overseas. I paid almost double using Voyagin. This should only cost 500,000IDR and it's easy to get on a tour just ask your hotel. There are about 700-800 people trekking up the hill each day so you can easily join a tour.

We got picked up from the hotel by the taxi driver at 2: 15 driven for 1 hour to a restaurant which was nice and had a clean toilet. We had some free tea and coffee. Then we started the hike with the guide, walking from the restaurant.

We walked for about 2 hours. It was tough. Unless your fit don't attempt this. I saw many over weight people give up and take a motorbike taxi up the hill. I really struggled and was given a stick to help. The path is not great, it's sandy which makes it easy to slip and there are rocky areas towards the top. I think by now someone should make the path a little easier. Also you have to keep moving aside to let motorbikes pass.

We were given a torch although mine gave out early on and i have very little like to guide me which wasn't ideal as my eye sight isn't the best.

The view from the top was good and I personally haven't seen such a good sunrise, almost like a sunset. However it is ruined a bit by so many tourists.

The only downside to this tour was tea and coffee which was pretty rubbish but they charge you 30,000IDR for this. I thought this was included in the tour but it was not so I felt a bit cheated as our trekking guide didn't tell us this before asking if we wanted it. She should have informed us about this as it's a real rip off.

Our tour guide gave us a box of food including banana sandwich, a bannana, a chocolate bar, and 2 eggs. We didn't see them cook the eggs in the steam which I thought was part of the experience so I was disappointed about that.

We then went to see the steam coming from the mountain. It was really nice and warm but again a lot of people taking pictures does ruin the experience.

It was a good view from the top but I wouldn't do it again as it was a bit too difficult for me personally.

Great experience.
But: breakfast is basic. Pick up was 100k rp APART from the price of the tour, ended up being about 38€ for everything (i think you can find it cheaper in airbnb). Only 1 bottle of water was supplied for 2h of climbing up a mountain.
However, everything was well organised and our tour guide was absolutely spectacular.
ALSO - the trek is challenging! Beware if you are not fit (like me) because it gets worse the further up you get. But its worth it. Make it to the TOP summit, not the second tallest - make the effort!

Was personally really impressed by the execution of this tour. As much as people tell me that a My Batur Sunrise tour is only going to cost me 250k per pax, I was perfectly fine paying 500k each for what I'm getting here. For what I'm seeing on the website, to the reviews here, well enough to win my trust.

The driver picked my partner up from our hotel around 2am, and they picked up 2 more couples along the way before we were dropped off at Bali Sunrise Villa around 345am. The briefing and trek subsequently started around 415am.

Iko, our guide, was really helpful and patient with us, explaining things as we go along, and making sure everyone was safe and following pace. The hike up to the summit is about 1hr30mins to 2hrs, depending on how fast your group was (we ended up spending only 1hr15mins, but we are in our late 20s and the other couple was barely 20, and Iko is 22 himself).

Although unfortunately it was raining the day we went up, we were still very well taken care of by Iko, and he spent even more time bringing us to the other parts of My Batur to show us the cave and the temple, explaining history and geography of "the warm holes", etc.

One thing to note, make sure you wear proper shoes. There are many parts up that can be slippery, and on the way down quite a bit of loose soil which is also slippery. This is definitely not for the feint hearted. But they say, no pain no gain.

Pickup was on time; we were due to be picked up at 2: 15-2: 45AM, & when we exited our villa at 2: 18AM, our driver was waiting for us at the van. We made 2 more pick up stops before heading to the gathering point.

You get a cup of coffee/tea before you start, & a bottle of water to take with you as well. They provide flashlights for you if you forgot to bring one.

After the safety briefing, we realized we were pretty off schedule. But anyway.

The trek itself was INSANE. As someone who isn't fit (jogs 2 times a week?), this was a stretchi for me. Not even halfway through, I felt like dying. But the guides kept up our good cheer, egged us on, & for those who are weaker, would take our hands & almost-drag/hoist us up the climb. It sounds terrible, but it is helpful.

But boy, the view was worth it. I went on a good day & it was stunning. The breakfast box offered at the top of the mountain is nothing much - 2 bananas, an orange, 2 toast & 2 hard boiled eggs. I ate the eggs because I was famished.

Overall, would recommend this experience if you're not afraid of your legs hurting for the next few days. This tour company is helpful & quite reliable as well. Oh but then again, my crazy Very Healthy friends resumed their daily exercise the next morning, so. I guess not EVERYONE was hurting, heh.
