BGS Bali Surf Shop & Coffee Bar - Dreamland

Best custom surfboards (DHD & PYZEL) at a good price and best options to customise I’ve ever found.

Seriously, this coffee shop is just crazy. People who hang out here don't seem to care about themselves, all for the sake of some hype they think is stylish. The coffee? Pretty bad. And the service? Don't even get me started. Prices are sky-high, and you even have to pay extra for ice and the cup! The baristas are too busy chatting among themselves to pay attention to customers. Twice, I asked for decaf, and they just laughed and spoke in Indonesian, which was just plain rude. Ended up with two regular coffees, and I felt sick from all the caffeine. Plus, I saw them enjoying coffee tablets, while I got stuck with water. It's a total letdown. I don't get why this place is so hyped up when there are way better coffee spots in Uluwatu where you can actually enjoy good coffee and have a nice chat with the staff.

I can't recommend BGS Bali enough. Coming to Bali for the first time and in need of a step-up board, I bought a Pyzel from them while overseas and got it delivered to my accommodation a few hours before my arrival.
Komang kept me posted of each step of the process and even sent me photos of the board wrapped in bubble wrap at their board cave.
I haven't met him in person yet, but when I get there to say thanks, I'm sure I'll try and make a review of their coffee as well!

So if you're coming from overseas and need a new board, consider ordering it here and sparing yourself from the hassle of carrying the board all the way from home to Bali and maybe having it dinged by your airline along the way.

Popped into the shop yesterday to grab a new board the boss man was a legend super helpful in sorting me out with a set up. Couldn’t have made me anymore welcome went for coffee after with him and we chatted for a while sorted me free coffee which blew me nuts off.
Hopped on my moped absolutely buzzing grinning from ear to ear!
Sir you are a legend keep doing your thing fella. Took it for a surf today and it was so sick.
He also said pop back before you head home and they will wrap it for me what a service.
I’ll pop back before heading home mate for another coffee and to grab a T-shirt to represent an awesome company

Expensive and nothing special. Ice almond latte is 55k. I feel like in airport. Just for ice cubes they take 10k extra. Not recomended!

Great spot! Good coffee, prices are not overpriced and you can also buy surfing equipment very well. There is also an outlet (Ripcurl) right next to the BGS Shop & Coffee. Both highly recommended!

Coffee is great. Music is great. Baristas on point. And the Vibe so good you wont leave. Warning You might accidentally buy another pair glasses on your way out

Rita and Taufiq is very accommodating! They shared with us their house made oat milk and we instantly fall in love with it! All coffee connoisseurs should definitely come here and try their in house speciality! ️

What can I say… I'm coming to BGS since more than 3 years basically once a day (at least) and not just for the homemade almond milk, but mostly because of the people.thank you @ the whole BGS team!

Nice place loaded of cool people. Coffee is great. (i think mine was a bit burn. Just a bit). They have decaf coffee! YAY! You guys should put it on the menu since not many people thought that decaf is not exist or even hard to find. Dogs are around here, inside n outside. They are friendly with customers, just watch your clean and hygiene guys, i saw one of you cleaning pee with tissue and didn't wash your hand to handling cashier. Right it was too busy. Always busy here. They also have some collection cool stuff. Surf board, tshirt, mug, sunglasses etc. Its really worth to come visit and check. Breakfast and GF option also available in the menu.

Always good coffee, good vibes, good service at BGS. They've helped me out a couple of times with board transportation as well, making sure you get your stuff gets where it needs to be even if you're not in Bali. Alex & Komang are legends!

Encouraged by other reviews I decided to visit BGS. Great design of the café and nice staff However, for me personally the almond milk has a little sour taste, I didn’t like it much. Carrot muffin was totally dry

Best surfshop and coffee place around bukit or canggu. Staff is lovely and friendly, komang is legend.
Ordered a custom DHD from them, came back a week after, such a good board with proper standard you would expect from a new DHD shaped in Australia.

The other day me and my girlfriend walked in for the first time and we immediately felt home. The staff is so welcoming! We where looking for 2 new surfboards and Alex helped us very well. The service is truly top notch and the stock is very well suited for your needs. Its not just the shopping experience which was great but the cherry on the pie for us was the genuinely interested aftercare. They even helped us packing our new babies for our surftrip to the Mentawai’s. And of course, needless to say, we came back for the coffee every day. Unbeatable.

Best surfshop in Bali, went for a custom surfboard with these guys and it came out flawless, also best coffee in town.
If you want to make friends and not feel as just a customer this is the place to go.

I came to this place for the first time a year ago.every time I am in Bali I make an effort to come back to BGS as much as I can. It’s the best coffee. Best environment. Best staff in all of Bali.

To be honest, one of the best coffee you can find in Bukit. The staff is also super friendly. Will definitely go back there!

Our favorite place to get work done, drink coffee, etc.in Uluwatu. The Canggu spot is awesome too! If you like surfing (or just surf culture in general), this is 100% a place you need to check out while here.

Lovely staff, tasty coffee, this charming little place just has this thing that gets you. Sit outside enjoy the Bali sun and bliss while sipping the signature almond coffee, filled with Vanilla power, Dates and Himalayan salt. Pure joy!

Nice coffee. Should definitely try the almond cafe latte. The smoothie bowl is also nice! Best thing is the staffs. Nuell, Gaby, Yuli, Kadek all of them are really friendly. Definitely a to go place. Oh also wifi is fast, good for work!

Unpretentious vibes with consistently good coffee. Nut milk lovers are in for a treat! They have almond milk here - Think Dates, vanilla pods, Himalayan salt! Yums!

This is a seriously amazing place. More than a coffee shop and a surf place, it's the support of a beautiful community. Komang is super helpful and amazing, he gave me plenty of advice that helped me decide on my new beautiful surfboard. I couldn't be happier with all my interactions with BGS:).

Barrista skills are on point, really good coffee & the almond milk is one of the best I have ever had, but mostly kept coming back there for the good vibes. Props to Patrick and Yuli for being so sweet and welcoming, you guys are the best!

It's pretty quiet in the night, a lovely place to work for a night owl like me. The playlist, staff, and the coffee is amazing! High five from me.

This is THE BEST coffee shop in the Uluwatu area. Inside is very tastefully furnished, with comfortable seats where you can enjoy probably the best coffee in Bali. Once you try it, you can't help yourself but keep returning for more. The vibe is super relaxed and the staff is just incredible. As far as I can remember, I've been served by July, Patrick, Evy, Komang, Sony, Cicak, Listya and I love them all. They are super friendly, kind, funny and you just feel very comfortable around them. And if you are a surfer, this place got you covered with everything you need, and the staff will be more than happy to help you out. The boss even helped us get some bubble wrap to pack our surfboards for a safe flight back home.
If you are a coffee lover or a surfer, or you are just looking for a friendly, relaxed and welcoming place to chill, you must visit BGS!

Favorite coffee I’ve had so far on Bali (been to drifters, suka, bali buda - they good too, but nothing special). Good temp milk and the shot tasted great in the cappuccino (30k, good price, I know right?) Only been once, so hopefully it’s consistent. Seating is a bit sparse, so make friends?

Awesome coffee, super cool vibes, they also sell super best shirts and surf goods. Patrick is super friendly and helpful. Anyone in Uluwatu MUST drop by and enjoy the vibes ‍️

Such friendly staff! Made my day! I didn’t eat or drink - just popped by for a spot of shopping. They don’t have a large selection of items but what they do have is great. Good quality and reasonably priced items!

Spotted this joint while riding my motorscooter with a friend looking for a cafe with wifi to relax and do some work. We decided to stop here and instantly love the cozy intimate vibes. The set up is super clean and well done. The staff were super friendly and the super smoothie (with spirulina) hit the spot! I like that they had spirulina in there. A good place to sit, relax and work.

Felt like family the second I stepped foot inside. They treated me really well and we exchanged wonderful conversation! They have a beautiful almond iced latte. So top notch that I got two within ten minutes.

Great coffee, great beers, great vibes. They even have another location in canggu. Super rad staff that can point you in the right direction to any kind adventure you want. Komang, the owner is a total legend and a killer surfer. Attracts a good crew of locals too so it’s a good spot to meet friends if you’re here for a night or a month. Also, the uluwatu location has boards by DHD and Pyzel, two of the best shakers in the game. Definitely worth a stop. Oh and both locations have great eats nearby
