BlueWater Express Serangan (Bali) Boat to Gili Islands/Lembongan

Amazing boat company. Made traveling between the islands like a breeze and prices are really good too.

Seamless transfer it was a comfortable ride and on time from Nusa to Bali. I took a fast boat with a different company before this and it was a nightmare, the boat was a really smooth ride. Staff was also very polite. My only comment is the transfer from Bali to hotel was slow, they had us wait half hour in their cafe shop where prices for everything was quite expensive. Apart from this I recommend the company and to spend a few extra bucks for a more comfortable ride.

All of our 3 trips with BlueWater Express went very well. BlueWater Express is very comfortable because at the check-in you can already leave the luggage. Especially at Gili T was this very comfortable, because the Harbour at Gili T is always very crowded. The boat was in good conditions. On board you get water and mentos for free. Even if it’s quite a rough ride, you feel safe. Sick Tablets were offered anytime.

Very professional fast boat company.
The formalities are very quick, luggage is taken care of at the office. The waiting area is equipped with benches, toilets, etc.
A bottle of water is distributed to you on the boat as well as a Mentos mint candy.
Anti-seasickness tablets are available.

After the nightmare of Semaya One, I paid the extra last minute to get on a ferry here. Blue Water express was like heaven compared to it. Gave us drinks and made a three hour ride seem short! Don’t skimp out on boats to save a few dollars, go with Bluewater!

I was recently on holiday in Bali and used Blue Water Express to get ferries to Gili T, Nusa Penida and Serangan Bai. We had troubles with traffic and getting to the port initially and BlueWater Express was very accommodating and gave us exceptional service. The ride itself was good, the waves are better in the morning but they definitely look after you with aircon and motion sickness tablets. They are the only ferry service I would recommend to get around Bali!

Terrible service for decent money. The staff didn't even let the window open a bit to let in some fresh air. The children and I really had nothing to breathe, because the smell of fuel was unrealistically strong, our head ached. In my opinion, breathing this is not very useful. At the request of the staff to enter into a position that people are getting sick, they yelled that the air conditioner was working. Children are also not allowed on the upper, open deck. Paid the money and sit, be patient. Breathe than given)

Despite arriving 10 minutes late and one of the engines having broken down, we arrived at our destination only 5 minutes late.
However, during the trip I had to go on top of the boat not to feel the intense diesel smell.
It was very uncomfortable inside, because once the air conditioning is on, you can't open the windows.
During the trip they served a bottle of water per person and a mento.
Not a good price value in comparison to other companies.

Yesterday was the day from hell as due to weather the government canceled all fast ferry service going back to Bali. Had it not been for the wonderful service of the staff at Blue Water I am sure we would have been stuck in Gili T. We are still so appreciative of the exceptional service provided and after 12 hours of working our Blue Water Representative was still smiling and was so reassuring. Many people got left behind in Lombok but we feel that we got through because the staff at Blue Water were organized and pushed to get us on the boat. In our opinion this is the best ferry service in Bali! Thank you for getting us back safely Virginia and Nelson

Excellent service! Picked me up at hotel, Chexked in bags and got bags back when we arrived on Gili Trawangan. Highly recommend.

The only way to travel to the Gillis. We had a free pickup from Seminyak and the ride was nice and fast

Having made several crossings with different boats between Bali and Gili T, I always try to book with this company. The pre-departure communication via WhatsApp is perfect and they have a fleet of nice air conditioned cars in Serangan to take you to your next destination (included in ticket price). Pick up is also easy and they transport your luggage from the office to the boat with care. Maybe a bit more expensive than other boats but the cabin is air-conditioned and you can ride on the sun deck if the water is calm (other boats: no air circulation for nearly 3 hours and no outside options - ack!). Highly recommend!

Very organized operations. Although it is very busy on the port they seems to manage the chaos well. We were on time going and delayed a bit going back but it wasn’t too bad, only about 30 mins. Can be hot inside the ferry so we sat up on the deck to help cool. Beautiful views. Saw some dolphins. Would definitely use again. 4 stars bc I was so hot on the inside. Second time felt cooler. Thank you!

Based on the good reviews, we decided to pay almost 3 times more than competition for comfort. It was a wrong decision, as our roundtrip with blue water was terrible. A way to Gili their boat was broken, and they sent us with Ekajaya. They promised a partial refund, but so far (6 days) I haven't heard from them. What's worse, the return trip with blue water was waaay worse than with Ekajaya. Boat was super hot, AC wasn't working, staff wasn't helpful at all. I recommend booking Ekajaya for 1/3 of the price.

UPDATE: It's been 16 days with no information from Bluewater, and no refund

They have no air conditioning, it was well over 30 degrees in the cabin the whole time. It absolutely stunk so much I was nearly throwing up the whole time. They lied, add one hour to all the travel times. The seats are tiny. If you are over 5'10" there is no way you will fit. This was the worst experience I have ever had travelling and completely ruined my holiday.

Sailed from Pantang Harbor to Gili Trawangan and back. They are quick to get every one on and off the boat. Good seats but as we sailed from Gili to Serengan Harbor the aircondition was brooke. That was a long hot trip, that could have been better.

The crew were very efficient & friendly, & the trip was very fast, & was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have a strong petrol smell that I have had on many of the small boats used to go to islands.
Usually I would get sea sick but this time I didn't

Very professional and well run. The shared ride to your hotel in Bali is also incredibly efficiently run. However be ready for the VERY CHOPPY waves on the Padangbai to Serangan route

Very good service. They give free water bottle for the boat trip and sea sickness pills, if required. I travelled from Gili T to Serangan. The boat was air-conditioned and very clean. Confortable seats. Since it's a fast boat, the ride is bumpy. So be careful and be aware. Well trained crew and staff. Very professional.

I use the great service from Bluewater once in each month to go to Trawangan.
If u are willing to pay a little more for safety, comfort and punctuality use this company

Best transportation to go to the Gili islands. The staffs are professional and friendly. It has air-conditioning and the have the best safety records on the island.

Great company. Yes it's expensive compared to other boat operators, but every step along the trip was organized very well by them. Boat itself is clean and has AC.

Fantastic service. They picked us up right from our hotel, and brought us to the port. The boat was big, clean and air conditioned. They provide water on board. Took us two hours to get to Gili T, and it is absolutely worth it. The Gili islands are amazing, highly recommend going!

I can not recommend this company more! I had the unfortunate experience of sustaining an injury on Gili T and needed to cut my time short there, they re arranged my trip back, got me off the boat first, had a car and driver waiting by the boat and got my luggage off in a flash. Injuring yourself on holidays sucks, injuring yourself alone and three hours by boat back to the mainland is terrifying but Blue water went above and beyond to make sure i was OK.

Good service and quality of ride to Gili Air from Bali.very good and friendly staff. Wet towels, waterbootles and mentos adds to the comfort.sundeck is the best place to be IN if you are a beach lover

Good service, staff look after you. Return journey always seems to be delayed more than out to the islands, and boat windows need sealing to stop the water drips. Still my preferred operator.

These people are true professionals. I would strongly recommend traveling to Gili islands or Lombok (and back to Bali) with them.
They are extremely well coordinated and they make you feel safe and calmed all the time.

I have travelled with other operators and BlueWater is by far the best.
