Casa Luna Restaurant

It was an accidental find for my family and I. We really enjoyed the food and the very friendly and attentive service. The restaurant deco was also very nice and cosy. Definitely recommended when you are in Ubud.

A nice restaurant, nice ambience, doesn't seem like a usual tourist trap. Relaxed music and nice staff. The food is good but nothing special, like so many places in Ubud. The cocktails are mostly good, the happy hour is ok. However, I strongly advise against the Mojito, it has nothing to do with the original.

We ordered 2 dishes: pizza panna e funghi, balinese chicken curry and they were delicious. We are still amazed at the speed with which they serve in Southeast Asia. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

Friendly service but not in your face, very relaxed welcoming.delicious drinks - I had a carrot, turmeric and ginger drink - just what I needed after a late night out. Perfect combo, fresh and not too much ginger.

Food is excellent from the complimentary salt bread with oil to the tasty soy glazed chicken and mash… superb!

The food is edible but not particularly good. One of my only disappointments in Bali. Plus I have a stomach ache during the night.
Plus the cocktails weren't really good. (2 different ones tested during happy hours, undrinkable)
Prices are a bit high but I think that's the norm in Ubud.
The waiting time to be served was also quite long.
The restaurant itself is quite pleasant.

Very nice place to either eat, have cocktails or cakes. The place is nice, the waiters are very keen. Recommend for a stop in Ubud and to get some fresh air!

Hard to give an honest rate. The place is OK, the food is OK, the service is OK (a bit slow). The prices are a bit expensive, but it's a tourist place so it's OK. But at the end I don't keep this place in mind. If you are in the area and you don't know where to eat, you can go there easily.

This is a restaurant must go. Own by an australian lady. Prices are fairly reasonable and food is extra ordinary good. Portion is larger than many restaurant as well. They have high tea. All food is good. Must try

Great food and experience at Casa Luna. While the name sounds very Mexican, they have a wide variety of foods from different cultures. My nasi campur ayam and banana lassie were excellent, and the service fast and friendly. We visited on a night they had live music which was also very nice.

Magic atmosphere, great attention to detail from gorgeous authentic toilet doors to bamboo leaf condiments. Great staff, a little slow on service but worth the wait once food arrived.

Great location, right in Ubud center, good foods.

We were very pleased with what we had here, grilled rib and fried rice dishes. Professional service in a casual but elegant setting. One of the hiking paths through the rice terrace starting from the upper end of Jl. Kajeng will have the end point on Jl. Raya, where looking across the street (10 o’clock direction) you will see the Casa Luna restaurant. A very good and convenient place to recharge your energy, either with foods or drinks. Highly recommended.

I normally avoid restaurants in city centers as they tend to be too touristic but this one was recommended by my half indonesian, half dutch friend. Just wanted to go for something small but ended up with springrolls and the fish curry as chicken curry was not ready yet. Great flavours and fresh ingredients. As there was still a tiny space inside, had to try the lemon crumble, which I did not regret. Very tasty as well and I was expecting a kind of dry cake but this one was done perfectly. P. S.they also have some good bread for taking away but make sure you reserve as they tend to run out later during the day. P. S. 2. I should not forget about the energetic and ever smiling young waitress downstairs. Isn't it great when people just love their job?

Beautiful restaurant, great cocktails. Service is incredibly slow, our first pizza arrived after 40mn and it was cold!

Came here everyday during our stay for breakfast and brunch and the coffee.
The dishes are tasty and presented prettily.
Eggs benny and cinnamon roll are a must try.

Had a vegetarian pizza and a mango lassi, super nice and such calm place to be. Just sit down enjoy the ambience and really delicious food. Staffs are also super friendly. Another must visit place in Ubud.

Very calm relaxing place to eat. Food was very good and reasonably priced priced but serving could be a little bigger. Would go again.

I think this is the only restaurant that serve good food in the main road. Due to a foot injury, we couldn’t walk anywhere far after our massage so we kept eating in the same area. We tried 2 other restaurants and they were both pretty bad. Lucky Casa Luna is nearby so we went in for lunch. They have sandwiches, pizza, huge selection of dessert, drinks and local dishes too. The waitresses are so nice and service is very good. We went back later again for more dessert and coffee and we were sitting at the table next to the owner. He is such a nice gentleman! The artworks in the restaurant are beautiful

Overall, not the best local food I ate whilst in Ubud but not the worst either. Quick service and nice open restaurant.
I came here after reading good reviews so decided to have dinner after a Balinese dance show. It was a little far away from where I was staying (30 min walk), so had hoped for a lot.
Was a bit ‘meh’ but overall enjoyable.
Pork was v.spicey so not really for me. Had a couple of tapas - duck paper rolls and satay. Satay was BRILL. Rolls average.
Cocktail would have been nice if it weren’t for all the messily chopped up watermelon getting stuck in the paper straw! In the end had to perform cocktail surgery so I could actually drink it.
There are definitely better places to eat in Ubud but this place is alright.

AMAZING food! Beautiful, breezy atmosphere. They also are a bakery and sell fresh bread. We got a free basket of their bread with olive oil for dipping while we were waiting for our food to come. Such a nice touch.

Great ambience in the evening and I love the cake! There is one white vanilla cake that I bought for take-away that was super good, yumm!

Good place, cozy and comfortable with a good staff service. I come because of coffee, it's a good cappuccino. But they say, the have the best in town iced cappuccino which I didn't try (may be next time).

They have wide range of Indonesian food. Worth to check out.

Nice vegan options. Liked the tapas and the pumkin tempeh curry. The service was really good. Very sweet people

Do yourself a favour and walk to the back and then go down the stairs: you are in the middle of the jungle with a river running through it.
Absolutely worth a visit!

Dearest place we ate in Ubud, saying that it is western food mainly served. Food was nice, but none of the tables seemed very clean, and it was in the morning when we were there.

I tried their recommended dish, a Balinese chicken dish (can't remember the exact name) but it was just 'ok'. The ambience is good and they do have a bar one level down. The interior is well designed. Bread with olive oil is served as a complimentary. WiFi is available there. The staffs are friendly. They also offer cooking daily at specific times of the day. You will have to check with them on the details of that.

Casa Luna is where you go in Bali when you want creative food in a stunning location. Having grown from a simple cafe, the restaurant caters to tourists who have tired of the monotony of the less inspired restaurants that are the norm. Sitting on the patio with it's wall at the precipice of a gorge, looking over the rice fields while enjoying some of the most interesting culinary flavors, textures and aromas available in Bali is well worth it. Of course, all this comes at a price, although by US or European pricing, it's still very reasonable.

Ate there for dinner tonight - LOVED it. Decor isnt brand new but still nice, plenty of fans for the heat. Staff werr friendly and helped us get the pram unside (we have a 7 month old).
Upon arrival we ordered cocktails (2 for 1 happy hour) and they brought out a small plate of 3 small bites. For entre we have chicken satay skewers-HIGHLY RECOMMEND they were so good. Dinner; Paella (was nice, nothing out of the ordinary) and curry ayM which was delicious.

After walking around ubud for about an hour, we stretched our legs while enjoying a cup of balinese coffee and a slice of crumbled apple cake.not too busy hence it was very relaxing.like other cafès around bali, the interior design emphasized "bali" nuance. Overall, it was a nice place to relax.
