Divers Paradise Penida

With a quick search, we came across Divers Paradise and it definitely was the right call. From the start till the end, they did everything right. From guiding us to the locations, to proper life gear and wear, to having a great captain of the boat, it was all perfect. Jackie and Paul were the best people in handling anything snokelling/diving related! The snokelling trip was beyond breath-taking with so many beautiful sea creatures and not forgetting the turtles! Upon returning back, we had amazing food that we so desperately needed after 4-5 hours in the water. To summarise - you need a tour, you go to them cause they're the best! Thank you for everything Jackie and Paul, we will treasure this experience forever!

What an incredible experience, leaving at 6am to go snorkeling, with 2 other people (we were 4 in total). We swam with dolphins, turtles and thousands of fish!
A VERY tasty breakfast to keep your strength up.

Awesome experience, highly recommended! The Manta snorkeling was amazing and organized in a very good and safe manner.
We have been consulted before to go snorkeling rather than diving with Mantas.

Me and my partner chose snorkeling, we saw the mantas from the boat but unfortunately couldn't swim with them as the current was way too strong so Paul took us to calmer waters where we could swim and we saw all sorts of sea life. He tried his absolute best for us even though he had a bad knee!
We then stayed in their restaurant and had a few beers, some food (their food is lovely) and a good old chat with them for the rest of the day, they made you feel right at home.

The owners Jackie and Paul are the nicest people in the world and extra service minded and professional.the experiences I've had there I will remember forever and can't wait to come back.

Beautiful location, amazing staff and absolutely the best diving I have done so far. I highly recommend Divers Paradise Penida, smaller numbers of people on the boat and very skilled staff Buka our Skipper and Ian our guide. Thank you we will be back next year.

First off thank you Jackie and Paul for your services and kindness! We enjoyed our snorkelling trip a lot, and felt so safe with your staff! They are all amazing, and know what they are doing! They emphasised on our safety, and their staff made sure we were all good upon entering or leavening the boat! Don’t hesitate to book them!
Secondly, please don’t be mad at the staff or management if you don’t get to see mantas, as you should always remember that just because you go to the nature, doesn’t mean that the nature will come to you! We are not in control.
Their staff tried the very best, drove the boat up and down to find us mantas, but we were not lucky. HOWEVER, we had an amazing time! And we can’t thank them enough for their efforts. We got to see dolphins and turtles in exchange, and amazing coral reefs.

Finally, I would also like to thank you for your tips and help to get around the islands, and now I am writing this review from Gili Trawagan, as we got here with your help!

The owners of Divers Paradise are great personalities and as friendly as can be, however the experience (snorkelling for 3-4 hours primarily to see Manta Rays, with pictures taken by a guide to be sent to us after) left us a little let down.

First of all setting off early (6: 15am) was amazing, with the sunrise coming up the views while leaving on the boat were second to none. We got round close to Manta Bay and stopped for our first (of three) snorkelling spots. We were there for about 20 minutes, no Mantas (that’s nature for you). However towards our second stop there were mantas and we were dropped into the water the opposite way to where they were swimming. After 3 minutes we got back into the boat expecting for us to reposition to try and get a better snorkelling spot. However, the 2 guides then started driving us to our third spot while saying “no mantas today”. I questioned that they were right there and didn’t get any response. I shortly realised that had taken up our second snorkel, which was essentially non existent. Our third snorkel spot was more focused around coral reef and there was plenty of wildlife to see.

After we got out of the water, we started heading back. At this point, we were about 10 minutes to returning and it had only been about 2 and a bit hours. The guides stopped the boat and asked if we wanted to snorkel (we took the opportunity), while there was wildlife, this felt like a last ditch effort to make up time so the owners didn’t question the guides why we were back so early. All throughout our 4 snorkels, one of the guides was in the water taking photos of us.

We got back (9: 15am) and were happy to chalk it up to you win some you lose some, after all you can’t guarantee nature will be there when you are. Additionally, the guides may have had a reason for cutting the second snorkel spot short, although they chose not to share it with us. However, it’s been 2 weeks since and we’ve not received the photos. The owners promised the photos would be sent the next day. We’ve messaged them a couple of times and can see they’ve read our messages and have chosen not to respond. Therefore it feels like, and the only conclusion we can draw from our experience, is that Divers Paradise are happy to take your money, and then just not make any further effort. Which is a shame as they came across so friendly and seem to do a lot for the local community (they had a shipment of inflatables that they were sharing with local children when we were there).

Paul, Jackie and there employees are more then awesome! We spend a wonderfull Time! Thank you again for all the good memories you brought is with this experience!

Amazing experience from the booking to the tour itself (snorkeling). Funny and generous owner, ready to share a chat or a beer. Really safe guides and staff, everything to snorkeling in a safe and relaxed environnement. A little bit more expensive than others tours but the safety and the experience worth the price,
