Easy Surf Camp

Excellent hotel with a great location, the beach is a 1-minute walk, everything is nearby, shops, restaurants, promenade. Large pool, helpful staff, cleaning every day. We came for 3 days, stayed for 11! Prosperity to this place!

Just cross the street and you’re at the beach. Nice small peaceful oasis in all this trouble in Kuta. Can walk from this place to a lot of nice places around. We had a nice bungalow with pool-view and loved it. It was clean, the staff very nice and helpful. We arrived very late at night and they waited for us, we messaged them of course earlier. The breakfast was included and had nice options. Thank you for having us.

Excellent location, cross the road and you are on the beach, close to shops and restaurants (10/15 minutes on foot), supermarket 2 minutes on foot (24 hours a day)

We didn't stay with the guys, but we took surf lessons! Coach Mikhail Cool guy, very clearly explained the theory, guides well on the water, reminds what to do and how. After the first lesson, you begin to understand the technique, and what you need to work on. I liked the debriefing after class.
In fact, I took lessons from locals, they are cheap + 1: 1 with a trainer.now in comparison I’ll say for sure, it’s better to overpay but take quality knowledge and practice from the guys, we had three students in the morning, but on the water one coach was enough, he managed to work with everyone!

This is a very bad place! Starting from the point that surf lessons are extremely overpriced (more expensive then some European countries)!
Rooms are not the same and we had unpleasant room with bad ventilation, that we asked to change but they told as there are no available rooms (which was not true as we saw on booking) all this bring us to the fact that at night (when stuff was gone) we realized that AC is not working (making sound but temperature stays the same) the room was extremely hot, much hotter then outside, we couldn’t sleep, with high temperature and poor ventilation it’s was unbearable. And yes beds are not the best as well!
Pool is good, location is terrific!

Spent 21 days at this lovely little hotel.what a perfect location it is.right opposite the sea and near to restaurants, shops and spas.staff were lovely.couldn't do enough for us.owner planned a couple of bbqs for the customers. I even got flowers for my birthday off the owner and staff! We loved it there and will definately go back again

Great value for money!

The hotel is literally 2 steps away from the beach and the price is way lower than the other hotels in the same location.

Very nice pool as well, the only downside of the hotel is the constant noise, only for sound sleepers.

The worst experience ever. Should have read the reviews before booking. We did a night stroll and booked this place as our previous accomodation was unable to be extended. The pics looked great and so did the camp at night but boy were we fooled. We thought being a surf camp that everyone would be friendly and welcoming. Not one person (staff or guest) said hello or tried to initiate conversation. You could cut the tension with a knife when walking through the TV area. Everyone was Russian (owned by my Russians) so cold towards anyone who was from another culture. It felt like concentration camp, not a surf camp. The room looks great upon first impression then at closer look some of the slats on the bungalow were open so mosquitoes could fly in. There was no doona, just a sarong that didn’t cover two people and some pillows. The towels stunk so bad that we had to leave them outside the room. It was awful. There was no way you would even consider using them. We couldn’t work out why they smelt so bad, then realised it must have been cat wee as there were cats everywhere. You had to kick them off a chair if you wanted a seat. They have even ruined all the surfboards by scratching their claws on the sides of them. There was rubbish and hair in the bathroom garden beds and the bathroom area also smelt like wee even though it was an open air bathroom. The first (and last) night that we stayed her we returned from dinner to find that the water was turned off so that the staff could fix the outdoor shower. If they gave us the heads up this would have been understandable and acceptable. After the frustration of no water we then had to listen to all the Russian staff party on until the wee hours of the morning. The traffic off the street also bursts into the room so getting to sleep is hard. The few Balinese staff that worked there were friendly and polite and that’s really the only positive there is. Avoid this accommodation! We’d rather sit on the street all night than be anywhere near this place.

The place is beautiful and right on the beach.

Huge building is being built next door so the noise during the day is not cool.

Also, all the guests were from Russia and the signs written in russian.
A group of around 10 guests were noisy and rude. Did not stop yelling until 3 AM and the hotel stuff did nothing to stop them!

Bottom line, no sleep during the day, no sleep during the night

This place looks nothing like the picture's online. It's dirty and disgusting. Bathroom is disgusting, you come out more dirty then when you went in. Towels smells and looks used, dirty sheets full of bed bugs. I was covered in bits on the first night from bed bugs and mosquitos. Very noise at night, construction noise till midnight and party noise till 2am or 3am. Russian management is so rude i think she hates anyone that is not Russian. When you ask her something it's either a NO or she just walks away and pretend she can't speak English. Local stuff are friendly once you figure out who the staff are. No name tags or uniform. People next to our room had a party and they got louder at around 2am, security just sat there and did nothing. We were at the end room so we can hear water coming out of the tank on the second floor just outside our room. Never coming back to this place.

Dirty smelly towels, old sarong for sheets, construction noise, party noise from adjoining rooms, reception contact by phone not possible, dreadful rude management, filthy bathroom, grounds very untidy, not possible to tell who is staff ie. No uniforms. Staff not able or willing to help with anything. Bed bugs or mosquitos in rooms, beds squeak if you move. Skinny cats that mooch about in great numbers are friendliest creatures here. Don't be fooled by pics this place is the pits. Felt very unwelcome. You have to chase down sraff for everything. Only facilities are 2 glasses, 2 tea bags. 2 sugar sachets and a kettle. Toilet rarely flushed properly. Local staff try hard but the blonde one appears to dislike guests. Cafe/foyer is just an array of surly chain smoking unfriendly people and it's impossible too know who works here and who doesn't. I would suggest that you never stay here even if it's free. Utterly horrid.

Not particularly clean - had to keep asking for different towels as most of them smelt like they had been left in the washing machine for a week. Pillow cases & sheets smelled like they had already been slept in.

Pool good. Rescue kitties good.

Continuous construction on both sides obviously not good but not much can be done about it - oh unless you get a room in the southern side - then the workers can look straight into your bathroom.staff didn’t really seem to care.

Board hire expensive, food/coffee expensive.

Definitely not worth AU$50/ night.

Amazing staff. The boys in the kitchen makes one of the best nasi gorengs I’ve had in Bali. Very relaxing chilled atmosphere stones throw away from the beach.

2 words. Bed bugs! There are already a couple of reviews about bed bugs in this hotel but probably like you, I thought I wont be that unlucky. And yes, we are left with bed bugs bites everywhere. The hotel staff didn't care much either. You've been warned!
