If you visit Ubud, Bali, you shouldn't miss this amazing park. We have an elephant ride with Arum, the female 35 years old elephant. The riser used to be his rider in Sumatra and collected logs from the jungle. He moved to Bali 20 years ago and work with the same elephant, Arum, since then. Wonderful experience

Without a doubt the best place in all of Bali to get close to the elephants. The hotel is beautiful. Their service is very good. It is not cheap.

A lovely place to have lunch at the end of an excellent Mason Adventure cycle tour down from the Mount Batur area

Was the highlight of our vacation - if you've ever wanted to get up and close to these beautiful creatures, then add this to your Balinese "to do" list.

Not too much to see for the money, very long wait. However, contact with the elephants is recommended.

An incredibly beautiful experience, the elephants are very friendly and great. On the other hand, the food in the restaurant was also very very good, we loved it and most likely if we return to Bali it is a must-visit

We came to Bali 10 years ago and had fun introducing the children to the elephant park which we loved. The film is very interesting as well as the testimonies to understand the process of safeguarding endangered species and their environment. The museum, the art gallery are also interesting to discover. A great awareness experience for all. Beautiful moments with the elephants and their keepers.

Much too expensive and animals are mistreated. Absolute animal cruelty. The elephants are chained to metal chains that are one meter long. NOT RECOMMENDABLE!

Sad treatment of elephants. This is not a sanctuary, it is a tourist and elephant trap. Elephants are worked 24/7 and do not get free time to spend without human interaction with each other. They are chained when they are not with humans. Seeing as elephants are highly emotional and intelligent animals, I can only imagine how frustrated they are to have to deal with people all day invading their personal space. How humiliating for them to perform tricks for others. Mason is a business man, not an animal rights activist. He doesn't care about the elephants.

About a year ago I took a trip to Bali with my best friend. One of the things we booked was the elephant excursion which we were really looking forward to. We noticed that this hotel had good reviews’s and beautiful photos to match.
Just to be clear I take full responsibility for this mistake because it was out of my own ignorance that I assumed the elephants originated in Bali. If you want to spend time with these incredibly gentle giants, please take a trip to Thailand. Bali is just a place the elephants were shipped to for ignorant torists like ourselves:/
When we first arrived we waited with a group and we’re overwhemed with how beautiful the elephants were. Suttly trying to ignore the fact that they were all chained to the ground by their foot surrounded by their own poop. It seemed like a lot of other people didn’t seem to notice or care. They let us know that we would be heading over to bathe and clean the animals which sounded fair to me.
When we got over to the bathing area they had a hose and a brush to scrub them. I will say it was a beautiful moment because when you look into their eyes you can tell how kind they are and can completely feel your energy as you bathe them. Suddenly the elephant was queued to pose while I took a picture, she lifted up her trunk and quickly let it back down from what seemed like exhaustion. The whole experience was about capturing a good photo.
This was when I realized something was wrong. Next we headed over to the water where we would be riding them as they swam. There were park workers on the back who were “assisting us” in getting on. I jumped into the water even tho I knew something felt wrong I thought maybe I was overreacting. This is when I noticed the man behind me was using a nail to drive into the elphant to make him go where he needed him to go. When I got off I told my friend and she was horrified. She also told me that the way the man was looking at me as I was in front of him made her very uncomfortable.
Let me just be clear this is animal abuse. I decided that I didn’t care if I had paid for the experience I wasn’t going to take part in something I knew was wrong. Unfortunately the day was ruined for us because it was really sad to know that their are people that capitalize on this to make money. Some of the other people in the group asked us why were weren’t going to go to the show. We told them we realized it was wrong and didn’t want to participate anymore. One of the workers quickly overheard and let us know that they don’t do refunds.
I’m sorry that it took me so long to write this review. I decided that it was important once I received an email saying they were just awarded for the top luxury hotels in 2018. It made me realize it’s not getting any better. I know you want to meet an elephant and so did I but please do it the right way and don’t take part in something this is cruel and unjust. Thank you.

Novel and unique expierience. However location is very much out the way meaning you have to eat/drink there. Feeding the elephants is fun but the Novelty does wear off. Activities are expensive compared to other locations in Bali. Elephant taxi was fun but elephants were chained to designated areas with lighting on them. Checkout was a disgrace ruining part of our holiday, as of yet been charged twice and the manager was happy to continue until my bank got declined due to multiple payments being taken. Raised this issue showing my bank account and explaining that these were our holiday spends and this was going to impact the rest of the trip.the manager just said 'if we take it twice you can write on trip advisor for the world to see' what a positive attitude that really resolves my problem. The ATM onsite is faulty and also swallowed my friends bank card. Staff shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do again adding to their helpful attitude meaning we had to continue the rest of the trip with one bank card, further funds missing as the money did not come out the machine. All in all a poor ending to what could have been a good experience.

While you are in Bali another thing which you should experience is the elephant safari. Bali's magnificent elephants can be found at the Bali Elephant Safari Park of Desa Taro, north of Ubud. The elephant stop configuration to suit each body needs, not simply just elephant darlings and extremely appropriate in the event that you are on vacation with family particularly for children's.

Highlights: Wonder about seeing the astonishing magnificence of this area as you ride in the tender animals. The recreation centre's offices incorporate a trail for the elephants to give rides, an eatery, an examination research centre, a historical centre, a little greenhouse and a cabin for overnight visitors. The recreation centre is home to around 30 Sumatran elephants.

Mixed feelings about this place. We asked for an elephant sanctuary and the driver drove as here. They take good care of the elephants but it seems to be more like an amusement park. The place it self it's small and really beautiful. You can bathe, feed the elephant or ride them. General admission is 300000 rubias plus whatever activity you want to do. Take a look at the museum you can find some cool stuff there

We did one of the Mason Adventure packages with transfer from the Hotel, Jumbo Wash and Lunch. The place itself is nice and you can come close to the Elephants (even if feeding them is 50K IDR extra). BUT the Hotel Transfer is a bad joke. Driving to the Park we had to wait for another couple for 30 min as the coordination was bad, going back was even worse organized.we had to wait for three other People an hour, with no other option for us, just to drive one hour later with just the two of us in the car.

I was a little nervous to visit the elephants here, as I didn't want to expose my children to animal cruelty. I could not have been happier. I booked a room for one night, and we had the most amazing experience. Firstly, the staff were so friendly and accommodating via email and in person. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the Suite, which was extraordinary! The views from our rooms of elephants wandering around and eating (and sleeping!) were breathtaking. We were picked up by elephants to ride to dinner, and we also did a separate safari trek.both were fantastic. The trainers were all very generous with their time and conversations about working with the elephants were really valued. Their love for their elephants shines through. Washing the elephants is something i will never forget. While staying overnight is far from cheap, I am thrilled that I spent the extra for a truly fascinating overnight experience. It also removes the stress that i see in other reviews about going for the day and having to spend more on every addition. The beauty of staying overnight is that you pay once price and everything is included. What an experience for my kids, and for my husband and I. I don't need to go back (once in a lifetime) but i would certainly recommend it to anyone.

We loved our trip to this elephant park, the main thing for us was how well the elephants were looked after and how they were all rescued. We had a lovely time washing the elephants and then moved onto feeding them. We would not advice swimming with them as we witnessed elephant poo in the water and people getting in the same water with them moments after a park attend scooped it up into a net. The other downside was we booked with mason adventures who we do not recommend at all, the timescale given to get there and back was half of what it actually turned out to be meaning we lost a lot of time that day. They also didn’t specify we would be arriving and leaving with different drivers and people meaning I left my jacket in the first car (which I eventually got back), they seemed to rush us around we were told our pick up To go home was 13: 30 and we had someone rushing us our at 12: 50 explaining ‘everyone’ is waiting for us. This meant we couldn’t visit the museums and art galleries which we were looking forward to. On the way home it was lengthy drives to so many hotels to drop people off, we were then stopped on the side of the motorway and told to get out and into another car as this car would no longer be taking us to our hotel. Once in the transfer the driver even tried to talk us into going to a waterfall on the way home which thankfully we all declined. The park itself gets 5 stars however mason tours please steer clear of

Was planning to spend our holidays here but came to know that this place tortures elephants by chaining them and as well forcing them to carry tourists. This is not being compassionate to the rescued animals. Please boycott any & all places that makes money using animals and calling them to be saviors. Shame on both the owners and as well those who ride on them.

O.m. G The best experience of my life! I did the breakfast and swim with the elephants, the park, the keepers are fantastic! Very very well organised I paid $150 for all, showers / towels provided, The elephants HAVE been rescued, if it werent for this place they would of died due to starvation because us humans have taken away their jungle, please dont listen to any negatives and experience it for yourselves.absolutely brilliant
