Came to this restaurant for the first time, very delicious sushi that I have ever tried in Bali, the waitress Opic was extraordinary in serving us and the other staff were very friendly, I will come back

Beautiful place overlooking the ocean and sky. But the food was average, while the price tag is high enough. We won't be back again

Japa de bahia sushi - not bad, but not amazing. Was interesting & different with mango
Pork gyoza - everything fell apart and skin was not crispy
Adegashi tofu - sauce was a bit salty and sour, quite average
Sticky pork belly mango - meat was dry but mango was a really nice touch
Coconut creme brulee - loved this! Had lots or Coconut bits in it and super creamy and delicious

Superb restaurant with a panoramic view of Canggu beach, a stone's throw from the Old Men, a club in the same town.
The atmosphere is at the top with little house music, the staff is adorable and the dishes are beautifully presented.
We especially enjoyed the Japanese cuisine that was offered there (sushi boat and miso soup)
The dishes are very good and I recommend the best dessert I have ever eaten: the chocolate ball with hot caramel
A culinary experience in Bali!

We live in Bali and we come here at least once a month for dinner and that’s because of the view and of course, how good the food is!

All the food options here are unquestionable, they’re all THAT good.

Ambiance is good most of the time but I think on Fridays / Saturdays they would have a live DJ which I personally think could be a little too loud especially when you come here to have a nice conversation over some wine and sushi.

But we just don’t come on those days anymore since we experienced it a couple of times. The restaurant has so much to offer and definitely a must try in Canggu

If you want to drink a cocktail and eat a steak with a great view of the sunset - I recommend this place. If you want Japanese cuisine, namely sushi, I highly recommend it. Putting garlic on a tuna nigiri is the height of idiocy. Philadelphia is also quite mediocre. In general, for the view and atmosphere - 5, for meat - 5, for sushi - 1

Beautiful place with sunset and magic, so Balinese. Very good sushi, perfect service, you should try gin from Bali and makis. Amanda gave us a honeymoon dessert. Very nice!

Ji is one of my favourite, if not my favourite place, to go to for Sushi
The atmosphere there is like no other
Amazing interior and decoration and there is also a good view if you sit on the roof terrace

Beautiful location and a great place to watch the sunset in Canguu. It's definitely on the higher end of price for Bali, but it is a nice venue.

This is the most beautiful venue in Canggu. The setting, the architecture, the beautiful staff, the incredible view and the divine world class cuisine. It is just wonderful

Went here for dinner with a group of friends because they recommended it, we didn’t get much of a sunset because of the weather but views was immaculate, was just kinda confusing finding this place.

Cocktails are normal prices and they’re okay, food was actually reasonable for sushi + location especially in Canggu, came pretty quick to; less than 30 minutes maybe… Longer for the fried stuff but vibes are great, dj was bangin. Def would come back here the sushi is very yummy

The food was tasty! I enjoyed the ramen, baby back ribs, and the chocolate ball desert. The sushi was okay and was my least favourite thing I tried. Staff was very friendly; Food presentation was nice: The ambiance was very nice and there is also a nice view of the ocean. This place is worth checking out

We were made to feel welcomed, relaxed, and un-hurried as soon as we arrived. We started with cocktails - really recommend the Fuji it was lovely - we also ordered a number of plates to share including Spicy Yellowfin Tuna - this is also a must! - and other sushis, every dish was excellent! The view is absolutely stunning! We saw the sunset and catch the cooling sea breeze. 10 out of 10 experience! We already booked our wedding anniversary dinner here next month.

We had reserved a table on the terrace weeks ago and arrived on time for our booking. However, they told us we couldn't sit on the terrace because it was raining and there were no tables available (although we made a reservation) and instead they put us in a dark corner of a humid, musty room, with two small round tables pushed together to seat the four of us.

So we went upstairs to check out the terrace and there were many people seated up there and at least three empty tables undercover that would comfortably fit us. I don't understand why they wouldn't seat us there originally, when we had a reservation. They were happy to accept the booking online but when they saw us in person, suddenly there was no table.

The whole experience was uncomfortable. We shouldn't have to be discriminated against and have to search for our own table, especially with the exorbitant prices they charge.

Ultimately the food was alright but nothing special, and definitely not worth the ~$45 AUD we spent per person. The sushi rice was gluggy and lacked flavour. If you frequently eat Japanese food, you won't be impressed as there is much much higher quality Japanese out there for much lower prices.

We picked this restaurant to spend our Christmas Eve and we were completely satisfied with the outcome. The food was amazing. The fish was very fresh and everything came to the table quickly. Staff was really patient with us in all our photos taken. The view from our table is outstanding, we came just before the sunset. All in all, it was the best Christmas eve dinner we ever experienced.

We went to Ji restaurant 30.12 - it was an extremely disappointing and underwhelming experience. Food was mediocre, service was astounding.

When we first walked into the restaurant, we were hastily greeted by the waitress? Manager? Adis - who have informed us there are no tables available even if we booked online. She was extremely dismissive and put us in a tiny dingy room with no aircon or ventilation. Didn’t explain anything with the menu and just chucked it at us on the table.

Our partners eventually went upstairs and quickly found that there were many tables available. It appears that all the Caucasian tourists were placed on the top floor, and all the Asian tourists were stuffed into the tiny dingy room. When one of our partner asked if we could sit in one of these empty tables, Adis said yes with no apologies or what so ever. She had sent another waitress downstairs to grab my friend and I and acted as if they were looking for a table for us - but in fact it was our partner that found it.

I am extremely disappointed at the service at Ji, as we were all looking forward to enjoy our meal there. Adis if you are reading this, you need to work on your costumer service attitude as it is absolutely appalling. For the cost, we expected better service than that.

Excellent experience.
Everything was delicious from the starters till the dessert.
Full of taste with interesting twists.
Tuna tataki was the perfect entrence.
The ribs blew my mind.
And their signature cocktails are a must!
Nyoman took good care of us and was a great help when we were trying to decide what to pick from all the appealing options.
Well deserved 5 stars!

Great place for sunset and less crowded. Food is okay not that special. Price suits for foreigners not a local price.

Spicy tuna sushi was as dry as my ex gf even tho ambience was good but food in general wasn’t even average what I’ve eaten compared to Japanese restaurants in other countries. My Sous chef was the one who chose this basically relying on the reviews here but apparently that was a mistake she has made. Anyways it’s a feedback for you to serve better in the future, arigatou gozaimasu.

The best food ever. Have been back already twice and will go again before we go home. Will recommend this place to anyone visiting!

Very nice place. Good food. Good service wonderful view. Just a pity some people get free water from the galon. And the staff says not possible you have to pay a bottle.

Fantastic first floor, beautiful second floor and obvious but rooftop 3rd.

Strongly recommend terrace on the first floor (Traditional Balinese and some European cuisine).

Good craft beer and home made noodles. Please take a walk in the hotel nearby. It is marvelous!)

Love it! We were there for Sunday brunch. Actually it is not brunch, but you choose from 3 set menu, 200k, 250k and 300k, so it is more like classic lunch. You get absolutely lovely food for that price. Drinks are not included.

We loved this place. Service, food, location and ambiance are just amazing. We had a great service. Awan! He could even remember our dish the second time we came! Increíble! After this we came back again and again and again.the experience in this restaurant made our vacation unforgettable. Thank you!

The sushi were amazing! The steak was amazing but the 25$ plate had literally just the steak, that was weird we were expecting a side of salad or potatos or just something. The view is great on the last floor. Great experience overall but really expensive.

Great place with a great view for a sunset dinner. Little bit too much mozzies attacking our legs though.

Well worth a visit with lovely views of the sunset, excellent food and really great service. The sushi was all delicious. We had a wonderful evening on the terrace (book a table!) and it had a really nice vibe. Great drinks list also.

The only negative was that someone smoked next to our table. I realise we are so used to not having smoking in restaurants, even outdoors, anymore and many countries are a long way off this.

From sashimi platter to wagu beef platter to malted ball dessert. Every bite was AMAZING! Melts in your mouth. If you're looking for a place to listen to great music, drink some cocktails and enjoy a great meal, you have to try JI.

Wow! What an amazing restaurant. We've spent 10 nights in Bali and our visit here was the most enjoyable. Great food and great friendly and attentive service. Reasonably priced. Great setting with a view out over the surf. The dragon rolls are amazing here, aswell as most things we tried here. Large selection of drinks and cocktails too. Will be back! Thank you.
