JOHN HARDY Workshop Bali

We came without a booking and were very lucky there was no-one booked in to visit the workshop at the same time. They provided us a wonderful guide - Putri, who took us on a very interesting and informative walk around their workshop and boutique. She had excellent English, was very erudite and interesting to speak with. The experience was short and sweet and very interesting for an average western tourist. At the boutique you are given the opportunity to purchase their exquisite jewellery at a discount price. I recommend visiting this place for experience, but give you a fair warning, if you don't buy anything - your significant other may eat your brain for some time after this visit hahah

I went there without knowing the brand, just to visit the workshop and I must admit that the experience exceeded my expectations. Initially I was impressed with the kindness of the people who guided me in the shop, their continuous smile, their care and attention to my needs. I took some time to admire the amazing design of the shop which is blending so well with the nature around it. Combined with the interior design,
the products in the shop made me feel like I was walking in a jewelry museum, the unique designs are a proof of the talent and passion of the people working there.
Even though I loved the products in the shop, the tour of the workshop is what I appreciated the most, I would definitely recommend it if you have one hour to spare. The happiness of the people in the workshop, their enthusiasm, the joy of creating together something special was so visible. After walking around with my wonderful guide that explained every step of the creation process and understanding how much manual work and how many hands and hearts are touching every piece, I value even more the products that I bought. My husband & I made an appointment to take a tour of the workshop and boutique. We were met by Dewi Purnawati, who was absolutely an amazing guide. We were amazed at the process & detail that goes into the creating and making of the beautiful pieces. She also explained "The Long Table", where the employees have a luncheon with no talk of work. We came away with a greater appreciation for the John Hardy brand. It truly "takes a village" to create such lovely pieces. After we returned to our hotel, my husband surprised me by making another appointment with Dewi, a few days later, to purchase a beautiful bracelet. We highly recommend visiting John Hardy Workshop & Kapal Bamboo Boutique at Mambal. Thank you Dewi for an amazing experience we look forward to returning in January!

You could describe as worthless art … but it’s definitely not high value Jewelery!

The most amazing experience to understand the craftsmanship involved behind the jewelry. The place is magic. The architecture is sublime. So organized. So inspiring.

Loved this place. The jewellery is exquisite and we really enjoyed the visit to the workshop and then having lunch with the John Hardy staff who made us feel so welcome. The company has a strong environmental ethic and believe it working with their employees. Certainly worth the trip here.

It is a fantastic place for luxury shopping, all the designs are very unique, combining Balinese style with western modern patterns. The staff provide a 5 star serves for us, very professional with patience, we have enjoyed a great time here.

I was blown away by the day, not only was the communication fantastic from start to finish however the hospitality is second to none. Such a kind and loving team. The people are beautiful, not to mention the jewellery and it's process. I learned a lot and they have left me truly inspired. Thank you John Hardy family.

Not our first visit to Kapal Bambu but this time it's a little more special because we were able to join their immersion master class. It was such a wonderful experience and made us appreciate their jewelries even more.

I attended a private event (by invitation only) here, the workshop was amazing. All the guests got the hands-on experience of making a piece of jewelry.

Very nice area. All buildings made from bamboo. The acessorys are beautifull bit little bit expensive. Offten make from silver

Every jewelry is crafted by Artisan handmade through generations. Long table served the community and also welcoming guests (reserve needed-limited)

Mendapat kesempatan masuk ke area ini adalah hal langka sebab harus bikin appointment beberapa bulan sebelumnya, tidak dibuka untuk umum tapi saya mendapat kesempatan mengambil Poto disini beberapa sudut sayangnya bukan produk2 nya mereka, merasa tahu diri saja karena produknya berharga mahal.

Tujuan wisata berbeda yg d tawarkan dari John Hardy, ditengah pedesaan dan pemandangan sawah dgn rumah bambu yg sangat artistik
