Things we liked: - Great view of the rice paddies and chill area - The art exhibition and DJs - Creative clothes on display and available for purchase - Good beer on draft - Kind hostess and some courteous wait staff
Things to improve: - Food and drink quality is not worth the price. For example the breakfast portion of the focaccia with salmon was tiny and tasted bland but costs 100,000 Rupiah. Coffee is so weak it’s like water. Had to buy an extra shot just to drink it. - Service charge and taxes should be included in prices rather than added on later. Customers seeing the service charge added after poor service will make us less likely to return! - On the last visit the server was not courteous (had to find her at the bar to order) and she gave us a hard time about 500 rupees (equivalent to 0.03 US cents) — Literally repeating over and over again that we must still pay in cash and couldn’t switch to card because of the we were short 500 rupees of cash. So Pretty silly after we bought multiple $10 beers. This is also ridiculous as usually the total is just rounded up or down with much concern at everywhere else I’ve done business with in Bali.
Made the drive out here to check out the place for them to say that they're closed for no apparent reason.
They wouldn't let us inside to have a look or anything, just sent us on our way.
Curiously, they still had their signs out front say "open every day 8am-10pm, " so go figure.
After having read the other poor reviews, we won't be making the trip back out there again, so a "may be open, maybe not. " situation. I'd suggest not wasting your time & going to one of the new spots opened up on the street by Little Ripper.
Went for breakfast and it did not disappoint. In the middle of rice fields artsy place with excellent food super friendly staff that went out of their way to make sure my little one has a breakfast she likes - we will be back had the hash brown with sausages super beautiful dish
Great place! The view is stunning and on top of that ive ordered smoked brisket and it was really tasty, their pickles were very nice as well. Highly recommended!
Apparently your chef has changed. It tasted better before. As always, I ordered my favorite tuna tataki and it was not tasty at all.it's a pity ( and please clean the chill sofa - very dirty, so disgusting this place can be so beautiful! But now there is no reason to return to you next time.
We arrived shortly after sunset. You can see the sunset on the beach from the 2nd floor, and you can see the stars through the window. We weren't very hungry, so we ordered two mains, and the tacos were really good. So I was curious about the other menus, so I ate a total of 4 mains. Experience crispy yet soft homemade taco shells!
I am a big fan of this place since I visited it for the first time 5 years ago. This time I brought my boyfriend and was very excited to show it to him. However, we had probably the worst meal in Bali there in a month. We ordered Shashuka and pancakes. The pancakes took ages and not sure if it was supposed to be pancake or crepe but it was very flat but size of a pancake, very oily and no flavour at all. The Shashuka was incredibly sweet, we were sure they must have mistake sugar with salt because even two teaspoons of salt didn't help. I make it at home quite often so I know how much sweetness does the tomatoes add and this was extremely sweet. Nice place but the food really needs some work!
I'm not a big fan of Mediterranean food, but Joshua District nailed it Really love their atmosphere, one of unique experience to have in Bali, huge rice field view with perfect sunset! They also doing various event, I saw their ads about wayang kulit show on social media, and decide to come here with some friend, I wouldn't forget about it and sure will come again. Not to forget to mention their staff super friendly and helpful!
Nice food, nice rice field+ocean view. Place include beautiful gallery, awesome restaurant, dark and hidden bar, and comfy villas. There is some clothing brand, merch, and also great place to have an exhibition. All hardware are made from reuse and recycled materials. Great concept.
Tasty chickpea salad, shame about the food poisoning that came straight after. Come on guys, wash your veggies and please use mineral water if you do. I couldn’t hold my food or water for hours after my lunch and I know for a certain that the poisoning came from here.
Been here before and got the salmon, although a bit small it was tasty. This time they served me what may as well be a starter for the upper price of a main. The fish was so thin it was well over cooked and dry. Very disappointing.
They asked me if I was done, could barely start it was already gone.
To make things worse, the business didn't have any change. So we were forced to pay extra for an over priced meal or cover the cost of their business inadequacies. Either way, not best practice in my opinion.
Place is full of art and very lively and cool vibe going around here. Very Mery clothes are really a must have item in wardrobe of any gaul kid from Bali or Jakarta. Food is delicious and coffee is just a must try. I should also mention the rice field view which is worth billion rupiah at least. Love festivals and events which JD is hosting. Service team is the most friendly and quick to get your order delivered to you in no time. Love to chill on the bed on the far right side, where you can work on you laptop and sip on your coffee with coconut milk. Cheers.
Amazing views and ambiance. Very disappointing food unfortunately. We ordered smoothies, tuna sashimi and papaya salad and all were below average taste. Nice presentation just no flavor: -/
What a lovely place to work while seeing amazing ricefield view. It’s devided into two side, one where you can work quietly or the cafe where you can chit chat. I really love this place. ️
Joshua District is really good restaurant with a lot of lovely food!:) nice price and good drinks.when you visit the Tanah lot temple stop here for a good lunch or dinner! ;)
It is a beatiful cafe. The view is amazing with a rice field. I recommend to stop for a drink.
I don't recommend it for a coworking place for a day. The reason as below,
Cafe customer Pay as much as you order. You can use wifi. You can walk into the coworking space where is just a next room. (Some customer came with kid and somoking and talking on a phone.)
Coworking space user Pay 150 IDR per person. (You can use it for food and drink) You can use the same Wifi as a cafe customer. Coworking place user can use the cafe area too. But if it is busy they have to leave to coworking place. (The cafe area is more confortable)
Wifi Upload 2.51 / Dowload 13.0 The wifi is OK for a cafe but poor for a coworking place
I didn't get what's the benefit to be a coworking space user.
