Karma Beach Club provided an idyllic Sunday escape! The beach, nestled in breathtaking landscapes, offered a perfect spot for relaxation. The food and drinks were delightful, perfectly complementing the stunning ocean views. The highlight of my day was the Ocean Spa's beachside massage—pure bliss! As the evening approached, we were treated to a mesmerizing sunset. Service was exceptional throughout the day, making it a memorable experience.
One of my favourite beach on Bali. To get there is for free and free parking as well. To entrance to the sea is sandy and water is clear and refreshing these days.
The beach was so serene and beautiful, BUT very disappointed that guests had to take 1000 steps down due to elevator maintenance. Didn’t mind taking those stairs however halfway there, there were LOTS OF WILD MONKEYS which i was very scared of. Literally got panic attack and had to walk back upstairs and took the shuttle bus (and a little bit of uncomfortable walk to the beach, was so scared there were going to be another monkeys. With these experience, i’d say they shouldn’t have charged the guests full price. Glad we enjoyed our day at the beach even though thinking about the work we had to do to get there for the second time gives me anxiety.
Coming to Karma beach was the highlight of our whole Bali holiday. We swam in the beautiful clean beach and laid in the sun then ate delicious food and danced to GREAT music until they (unfortunately) closed at 9pm. There was a fire dancing show on the sand and they were meant to ignite a large wooden statue at the end like burning man but the wind had picked up and they chose not to which was a good idea but it didn’t take away from the night whatsoever.
We travelled 2 hours from Seminak (got stuck in traffic and narrow roads) to get to Karma Beach which is 20km away. The snobby girl behind the counter told us it was 650 000 IDR per person ($65 Australian Dollars) just to take the funicular down to the beach. This didn’t include anything but the ride down. We understand there is a min spend to sit at a table, and we don’t have an issue paying that. However, we found her off-putting and the price outrageous just to take a ride down to the beach. Why would someone pay $65 AUD to take an elevator? Not sure if it’s because we’re not cool enough? Or is it because we didn’t have a booking? Not sure. It was a very bumpy ride getting here, literally. The roads are not paved and they have many pot holes. We skipped this place and went to the Sangkar restaurant at the Bulgari, which was superb! I’m interested to see if anyone else had to pay 650 000 to go down? After reviewing their website, it looks like they have a drink voucher included with the ride down which she didn’t mention. Also the price was much less. Dodgy
Must see spot in Bali, the ocean is beautiful and clean (unlike the more populated areas). No pool for day guests however it was so nice to jump in the ocean however it was a little rough (could have just been the day). Food and drink good, a little more on the $$$$$ side though.
A very beautiful beach unfortunately end up with a bad experience Come here during a peak season.
Here's my bad experience and the lesson learned (outside visitors please beware) 1. The problem was the lift. It has 4 person capacity. And it takes around 4 minutes for a round trip. So you will wait minimum 4 minutes if there is nobody in the queue. 2. Going down not a big problem. Waiting time vary around 5-30 mins, depends on the queue. 3. The problem come when after the sunset you want to go up by the lift the queue is insane and chaos. 4. Staying guest will get blue queuing card with number, the outside visitor will get white card with number. 5. The rules for queued always prioritized staying guest (blue card) than a visitor (white card). Also priority for elder and kids, pregnant woman It seems ok for me at first. 6. The problem is how they interpreted and implement the priority: A. When there is 30 blue card, and 25 white card, even the white card already queued at number 1-20, but if there's blue card at number 21 at the queue, it will be prioritized to get directly to the lift. B. Regardless of the queue position, the blue card always prioritized until all the blue card was none, than the white card queue could be processed and using the lift according to the number given. C. If you are outside visitor, even elder or with kids, your not allowed to go up using lift until there is no blue card on the queue D. If there 40 person on the queued, we can imagine how long it will take to go up. 4 person / lift x round trip time 4 mins.
Sadly for my first visit as an outside visitor, I get a 'lower class' of service for the lift service (even you pay around 500k for a visit there). During the high season and peak time to go up by lift it was almost chaos.
Here's my two cents: 1. If you are outside visitor (not a staying guest) please prepare mentally to get unpleasant discriminative service. 2. For using lift, go down to beach during low queue (2-3 pm) and go up before sunset or around 5 pm if you don't want to get stuck in very long queue time. 3. Avoid holiday season or high season for convenience.
Hopefully in the future outside guest will get more fair treatment. As always domestic guest is also treated lower than international guest.
Terima kasih
Beach club in uluwatu area with 500k rupiah minimum charge/person.view was amazing but DJ’s playlist are poor.you have to wait around 1.5 hours to get the tram for going back.they prioritize the tram for staying guests in Karma Kandara villa first.
Beautiful club on a class A beach. Good food and nice sun beds. Traveling down the cliff in a cable car is quite an experience too. Perfect get away for a Sunday or any other day.
What a chill place to relax and watch sunset by the beach with great food and music! Beach is stunning, with crystal clear water. We stayed at Karma Kandara so we took the funicular down.
Absolutely amazing, definitely on the pricy side but well worth it! Breathtaking views, incredible food, and great music. The service is just as fantastic as the scenery
One of the best spot in Bali to chill by the beach the whole day and indulge yourself. But this comes with a high price. Highly recommended for the breathtaking view and experience
The beach is private with a fee of 650k just to use the resort facilities. No deal! We found a public access just before the big fancy entrance and could go down to the beach, but we particularly didn’t like that much as there was not a proper place to actually lay your sarong or a warung to buy a few beers for a reasonable price.
You have to go to that beach if you visit Bali! You need to climb many stairs down to the beach but when you arrived there you will find a lonely beach which is absolute beautiful and just has a few tourists down there. If you are lazy to walk they also have a gondola to get back to the top, but with 150k per Person it is definitely overpriced, so better stay healty and take the stairs back to the top! (After 15 Minutes you will arrive back at the top with a sweaty shirt and do not need to do any workout for the rest of the day)
When you need a place to relax your mind, you might go to this place then. Little bit pricey but it was worthed for me personally. This place originally was a facility for the hotel, but you could go to this place without book a room. Just go beside the hotel restaurant or swimming pool, pay for the entrance and food voucher then go down to the beach and enjoy yourself! The only problem here is that the lift cart which takes you to the beach downstairs can unexpectedly stop working and the only way to go back up is climb 350 steep steps!
