Kima Surf Camp Seminyak

In short, this was one of my favourite experiences while travelling south east asia this year but let me tell you the details:

Accomodation — trendy, comfortable & clean. I stayed in the 8 bed dorm which was very spacious & had excellent beds. Great bathrooms with big mirrors, showers with great water pressure, and lots of space for everyone to store their toiletries. A downside is there are no curtains for the bunks which was surprising.

Restaurant & shared spaces — wow you really can’t beat the food they provide here. The breakfast fills you up from your toes to your nose. It is basically a three course meal & meets all the needs after a hard working surf session. The two pool areas provides many different spaces to chill or socialise which provides a lot of comfort if you are sharing sleeping space (eg dorms). Water dispensers with cold water was a real treat as well. I easily passed a week only leaving the camp to surf or watch the sunset & happily relaxed away the days enjoying the pools or joining theory sessions. It really is a surfing oasis, I honestly can’t think of a downside.

The staff — Every day I learnt something new & gained lots of confidence in my surfing thanks to the team! The guides were knowledgeable, attentive & great entertainment in & out of the surf. Staff around the camp were so friendly & helpful, always with a huge smile to say hello. And of course the epic social hosts Sidsel Rebecca & Anna! Bloody good laughs & great event organisers/hosts — you’d be lucky to share a beer with these awesome gals!

Kima surf is easily 5 stars all round! You’d be wasting your time looking elsewhere for a better camp

If you're looking to learn how to surf in Bali, then this is the place! In fact, even if you're not looking to surf then this is a great place to stay. It's in a superb location with wonderful clean rooms and excellent accommodation, with crystal clear swimming pool and delicious food. The staff are super friendly and the surf guides fun and incredibly patient. If you are travelling solo, then it's a great place to meet people and enjoy the banter in the sea and out. I cannot praise the staff enough - just wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended to any traveller visiting Bali, as you will leave not just with great memories of a fabulous island, but with a real sense of achievement, ready to confront the nest waves at your earliest opportunity.

We spent 4 nights at Kima Surf Camp Seminyak and we loved it. It's just a really cool structure and also very clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The food is super good and tasty. The surf school is also very educational and highly recommended. The guides are also super cool and relaxed. They hardly forget your name

You can rent all kinds of equipment and have lots of opportunities to practice and relax in the lounge area.
Above all, connecting with new people is hardly difficult here.
In addition, there are cool activities like going out together every day and evening or more relaxed ones like game evenings.

The rooms are also very clean and you feel very comfortable.

It's definitely worth the money.

The atmosphere here is so wonderful, all the staff are so nice and welcoming!
We were at the surf school for 5 days and learned so much in a short time.
The food was also good, they have a wide menu so you can choose many different things. The social activities were so good, they were very mixed. There was both sunset volleyball, Old man's beer pong and game night at the camp! All great fun!
It was social hosts who were responsible for all the activities and they were so committed to it!
Especially Rebecca and Sidsel welcomed us so well, they were fantastic!

I went to Kima Surf Camp in Seminyak at the end of October 2023. It was an incredible experience. The staff is very friendly and helps you with all your problems, the structure is cleaned daily several times a day, the surf guides are very knowledgeable and competent, the restaurant offers a lot of variety of choice on the menu, the location is very convenient both to reach the beaches and for the commercial services in the area (Restaurants, Massages, shops) and the volunteer girls who take care of the activities outside the ocean were very friendly and kind

For all this I recommend you book the Kima Surf Camp in Seminyak and I feel like giving it 5 stars

I really had the best time in the seminyak camp! The surf guides did a great job and I approved a lot. I also loved the social activities in the evenings. The social hosts Rebecca, Anna and Sidsel were really nice and made me feel welcome there. Especially as a solo traveler these three helped me a lot not to feel alone!

Amazing experience, none stop surfing which I loved. Everyone’s so friendly there especially the staff and surf instructors! Loads of social events and family nights always jam patched. Máxime was the best, always there with a smile on her face!

The Kima surf camp in Seminyak is excellent. Maxime Showed us everything in a Really familiar way. We slept in a superior room for 4 nights. The rooms were clean and spacious. I could sleep really well in the beds. The breakfast and food on site are also very good. I can recommend the fried bananas and the Nasi Goreng to everyone. The organization of the surf lessons is ideal. There is a surf planner on the cell phone and on the TV where the hours are displayed. The surf guides are super patient and teach everyone how to surf from Zero. After 5 days of practice I have already done my first wave. The evening entertainment is great. It all feels like one big family.

The best hostel I‘ve ever stayed at! It’s more like a hotel and everything is just perfect. A little beautiful paradise in the middle of Seminyak. The staff is super friendly, wonderful rooms, facilities, food, drinks… there‘s nothing missing and the hostel really looks like on the pictures:) Thanks for the great time here - I will definitely come back ️

Kima Surf Camp is seriously amazing! The surf guides there are not only super talented, but they're also the nicest people you'll ever meet. They make you feel like part of the family and go out of their way to ensure you have a blast catching waves.

The whole vibe at the camp is so chill and relaxing. It's the perfect place to kick back and unwind. And the best part? The social hosts (sofie, clara, lena?) are always organizing fun activities to keep the good times rolling. I mean, who doesn't want to hit up a skatepark on Mondays? It's a great way to mix things up and add some extra excitement to your surf trip.

If you're looking for a surf camp with awesome surf guides, a laid-back atmosphere, and plenty of fun activities, Kima Surf Camp is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing, clean and perfect environment if you looking to fully immerse in a surf culture. Loved staying in the teepee with an outdoor shower under the stars. Also serve healthy delicious meals and have delicious cocktails in the pool bar. Can’t wait to return.

Finally we can fly to Bali
Had such a great stay at Kima, improved my surf skills, had some yoga classes and nasi gorengs.

Das Camp ist einfach super (auch nach dem 4ten Besuch). Schöne Zimmer, leckeres Essen, nettes Personal. Surf Sessions sind super organisiert - was mir sehr gefällt es werden Surf Sessions morgens und mittags angeboten (mehrere). Ab und an ist man vllt von Spot zu Spot unterwegs aber das liegt dann eher am Meer als an der Organisation:) Es sind nur ca 7 min zu Fuß zum Strand mit coolen Strand Bars und schönen Sonnenuntergängen. Wenn man dann doch mal draußen Essen will gibt es genug alternativen.

Die letzten 3 Wochen im Camp waren einfach traumhaft! Angefangen bei den Zimmern, dem Personal und den Freizeitangeboten bishin zum Essen, dem Service und der Location war alles einwandfrei!

Als blutiger Anfänger kann ich die Surf School wärmstens empfehlen, hier wird man innerhalb weniger Tage perfekt auf die ersten Wellen vorbereitet! Die Surfguides sind ohne Ausnahme überaus freundlich, professionell und hilfsbereit.

Alles in allem war das viel mehr als nur ein Urlaub für mich! Ein großes Dankeschön geht da natürlich auch an das Kima Team mit Lena, Daniel und allen anderen hinaus, die eine wahnsinnig gute Arbeit leisten!

Die Abreise war für mich wirklich schwer, weil es sich nach so einer tollen Zeit nicht angefühlt hat, als wenn man nach Hause fliegt, sondern eher sein Zuhause verlässt. Von dem her - liebes Kima Team, liebe Wellen, wir sehen uns wieder im Juli!

Super schön, Mitarbeiter sind so freundlich und der ganze vibe lädt zum entspannen ein. Also hier hat man auf jedenfall eine unvergessliche Zeit! Und die Zimmer sind auch richtig süß und vor allem sauber!

Sehr schönes Camp mit guter Lage. Personal und die guides sind alle super nett, das Frühstück/Essen ist auch sehr gut. Nichts zu beanstanden hat alles super geklappt.

I can recommend kimasurf when you really like to go surfing everyday.
You can surf up to two times a day, it is amazing! The guides are super friendly and really help you to improve your surfing skills!

- Food in the camp is very good! Try the smoothie bowls ;)
- Guides are amazing
- Friendly stuff and interns
- Guests are friendly and you can easy catch on and go out partying
- Prepare yourself to get decent amounts of rupiah with you, because you should pay all stuff cash

Amazing staff, guides, food and vibe. Not only did i improve my surf technique, i also met a lot of awesome people with whom i had loads of fun! Definitely recommend this camp to anybody!

Bin sehr froh darüber, dass ich mich für das Kima Surfcamp entschieden habe. Sieht in echt noch besser aus als auf den Bildern. Die Guides und auch die andern Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war spitze und auch die Atmosphäre war sehr schön. Sehr zu empfehlen

Ich habe meine 2 Wochen im KimaSurf sehr genossen. Alle super freundlich und die Surflehrer waren sehr motiviert und zu helfen! Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren zu dritt auf der suche nach einem surfcamp, dass unseren wünschen entspricht und das war hier der Fall. Sehr schöne Campanlage, in dem man sich fühlt wie in einem kleinen Jungle. Die Interns sind sehr Hilfsbereit und können gute Tips geben was die Umgebung betrifft.
Das Essen im Camp ist sehr gut und immer schnell zubereitet. Außerdem herscht eine super Stimmung mit den Surfguides, mit welchen man sehr viel Spaß haben kann.
Fazit: Falls ich wieder nach Bali reise, dann wieder ins Kima Surfcamp Seminyak

The camp is very close to the beach. My bed and the room were very nice. The surf guides there were very professional and teached me everything according to my surf level (beginner). I liked it a lot and the interns made it more comfortable than it already was. There are lots of other possible experiences like trips on the island and some events.
