Nice food and view of the water palace. Better to come to this restaurant rather than enter the water palace as the view is the same from both places.

They are nothing but scammers…good view but everything else is pretty bad…their terminal charged me 16 eu for 100.000rp…when i said to cancel they said its not possible…so many great places in Ubud, should stay away from this one

I went here for nostalgic reasons, to relive one of my families favorite Bali destinations from over 30 years ago. While the setting was relaxed with huge lotus pond and temple, we could not believe how underrated the food was for the price, especially once several taxes were added. It was 845,000 for the two of us- earlier we had a similar meal worth 450,000 - seafood Nasi Goreng was ok, spring rolls, not crispy, banana fritters ok, prawn curry was average. I recommend grabbing a tea or coffee, choc brownie, maybe a cold beer to soak up the 7.30pm dance shows or beautiful guitarist. Ambience? Yes (especially seats over pond. Yummy food? I wish I could say yes…

I visited because the location was good. The taste was pretty good and the view was nice. It's a bit pricey but worth a visit.

The price is a bit high, the food is delicious, but the service is a bit slow. Every time you order something, you have to wait a long time

Recommended for those who feel tired from the morning.
I had an omelet and fruit salad,
There is also Nasi Goreng.

The beauty of lotus in the morning is worth seeing here.

The best thing about this place is its location opposite the Royal temple!
The quality of its dishes is no longer the same and is very disappointing, perhaps due to a change in management.
The menu is without relief and very disappointing because even the local dishes are not good…. In short, move on, there are definitely better places in Ubud

You can have a drink there and see the temple next door.
The place is correct, service attentive although a little slow.
The bathrooms are quite dirty, which needs to be improved.

Very nice location right from the temple.
The soup was very oily and a bit spicy, but Vietnamese springrolls were simple and fantastic. Otherwise a bit overpriced, but ok considering the area.

Very good atmosphere and service. Very good food but at exorbitant prices for being Bali. There are many cheaper places with better food. Being a famous site, you are one more and they don't value you. They ask for a 100k reservation and also if you want a good table, 100k extra to your bill.

The atmosphere and decoration are not bad, but the price is on the high side. Sometimes there are dance performances to watch at night, and you need to use WhatsApp to make an appointment during popular times.

Didn’t eat just had some drinks but it’s a cool spot.good location at the water palace, old open air rustic interior on the street with a funky classic bar area.staff very kind and has clean bathrooms.budi a waiter/head floor guy was really cool (been there 20 years) and hooked me up w some locally made incense.great place to take a break; highly recommended.

My favourite restaurant in Bali! The food is great, great quality, the staff is really nice and if you want you can ask to eat on the tables on the floor (to be in an asian mood) just next to all the lotus. There is also a temple where you can have a look and make some pictures. I recommend the mi goreng and the shrimps spring rolls. AMAZING!

Makanan enak dengan tradisional Bali menu. Tempat posisi center of ubud. Tetapi sekarang karena pandemi covid19 jadi mereka tutup sementara. Mungkin setelah pandemi berakhir berharap dapat kembali berkunjung di cafe lotus

Great Bali Dance performance! Hight quality of act, actors, actresses and musicians. High quality service and delicious food. Obviously not so cheap according to others in area but atmosphere, performance and great staff is worth to pay more for food.

While the view is quite beautiful and you may catch a traditional dance taking place in the courtyard nearby, the restaurant itself is lacking. The gentleman who waited on us was very pushy and impatient. The food quality was surprisingly poor. My wife got the Chicken Cafe Lotus which was very dry and lacking in flavor. I got the Tuna Steak, which had a sauce that was nice but over-peppered. The whole menue was overpriced and the amount of food was very small; everyone in our group walked away hungry. Would not return.

There was 4 of us. Only I seemed to really enjoy my food - I got rendang chicken. No body else rated the food there. Went to watch a show at the temple and have dinner. A bit expensive, probably wouldn't return

New year's eve pre booked seat given away prior to our reservation time. Did the 330k (ea) Seafood Set meal. Hugely disappointing. Been in Bali for 9 days and this was the least impressive meal of all. Two fish elements of main meal were not eaten, because too dry and chewy. The strawberry dessert was tasted and left uneaten. It consisted of A (yes, just one) chopped strawberry in some local liqueur. A 750ml Bintang and the night cost 850k. 6% service charge, for staff that had to asked twice for water and who'd rather socialise with each other then 'service' patrons. Struggle to find anything complementary about the night.

this restaurant looks directly onto the water lily pond & temple. The aspect is pleasant altho the continuous stream of tourists wandering past to visit the temple detracts a little. But we watched a bride & groom getting wedding photos while we ate. Nasi goreng, the first for the trip was a little disappointing, not enough sambals to give it a kick. And i thought the service was rather disinterested to the point of being surly, the waiter kept leaning over me from behind to take orders, serve & deliver the bill.

Mie Goreng too strong/salty of soy sauce. After we complained then we ordered a dessert wheres they give us for free. The view to the temple is very nice. That's all
