Matcha Cafe Bali

They declare to be “the best matcha place in Bali”. I drank their traditional iced matcha with their homemade coconut milk and it wasn’t tasty at all. In fact, the opposite. You could feel the matcha pieces floating and the taste itself was bitter.

Really healthy, delicious food! The best banana bread in Bali for sure. I love how clean and health-aware they are, definitely would recommend!

Ordered banana bread and chocolate brownie - both fantastic especially the chocolate brownie! So so good, a must order. Matcha latte was delicious and they in-house make their almond and coconut milk which you don’t get many places. Cafe is by a road with a bit of traffic, not the rice fields it used to be, still lovely inside.
My partner ordered the tuna poke bowl, the tuna was still frozen and super fishy, he couldn’t eat it, probably wouldn’t order this one, can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but will be coming back at much as I can for the matcha latte and chocolate brownie!

Delicious food that feels like is cooked with love! I had banana bread with peanut butter, a coconut milk matcha and a matcha strawberry smoothie- super delish! My friend got a kale omlette and that was a big portion, it tasted amazing and the rye bread was yum as well. Big portions and so worthy for small price you pay. They have amazing offers each day and the staff is really welcoming I can’t wait to try everything on the menu, i found my new fav cafe in Canggu!

Staff were very kind but sorry to say we got food poisoning from here. Please be careful with what you order.

Dragon Chia Pudding as my breakfast menu was perfect, both in appearance and taste, definitely be my fav breakfast menu here. Hot cappuccino also was very good.
The place is lovely with a natural decoration.

They charge service charge and GST. Matcha latte was bland, fruit bowl was okay, and ambience was okay too! Thank you for the nice time in the cafe though!)

We came to try all the matcha things on the menu but they barely had any matcha taste, and food was quite bland? Not sure if we just ordered the wrong things… do not get the matcha lattes with coconut milk - normal milk might make it better? Also not worth the price there are many other better cafes

I ordered the plant protein powerhouse brekkie (paleo) and it's nothing like the pictures, I was very disappointed. Plus it's super salty

We so love this café! The place is quiet, wifi is really good so you can work on your laptop. We also love the playlist - slow acustic music And staff is super nice ️ We tried lot of things from the menu and everything was really delicious and also the portions are big They have also diffetent promo for everyday - you can check their instagram. We love sunday pancakes promo, nutella pancakes are so so delicious, for me the best pancakes in Bali, we have always extra peanut buttet and strawberry jam and it is delicious combo.
Lot of gluten free options, banana bread is next level really
And gluten free matcha lemon cheesecake - just wow
And you have to try Matcha espresso latte (iced and with almon milk) - I could not inagine how it tastes together matcha and coffee but this is lifechanging! My favorite drink

Good choice for you guys if you like matcha! The drink is was good but need more sweet, for food need more choices for sauce, dessert very good!

I think this is the best matcha i ever drank. I tried both the ceremonial and then the homemade almond milk and I must say that we are at the highest levels of quality.we then ate a delicious banana bread and a great cake.sincere congratulations!

Worst matcha of my life. It literally tasted like dough. As someone who cannot drink coffee due to stomach issues I have been drinking matcha for years and have never had something so gross. Usually I don’t like matcha if it’s unsweetened because to me it tastes like grass, however I can appreciate those because I know they are flavorful. This didn’t even compare. This matcha had absolutely no matcha flavor. I don’t care if the owner went to Japan to learn to art of matcha, make your drinks taste like matcha if that’s the case! To call yourself “the best” matcha cafe in Bali and have the Matcha latte (aka the one thing that should actually taste like match) taste like dough, I’m sorry but you’re not doing something right. Maybe try making your drink stronger if this is the case because no one is ordering a matcha latte to not enjoy the taste of matcha!

Tried their food on both gojek Gofood delivery and went the actual cafe as well. Hot matcha latte n vegan brownie is great. For iced drinks, best to drink it at the cafe than opting for delivery.

The matcha is really good! If you like sweet matcha, just ask for sugar since the original is no sugar. The chia seed pudding is good too! I love it? The place is not big but very cozy for a calm morning and breakfast. The staff is nice and very helpful. The fruits are fresh too. Look forward to come back here!

If you want a healthy natural breakfast, you won't find a better place. I love this place for the high quality products and service. No MSG, no sugar. I love you so matcha

Dont get fooled by the look and size of this cafe. It may look small but the vibe is cool and the food especially the matcha -as their main theme are superb.

I would rate a 0/5 if I could. Matcha Lemonade is a mess. Bulletproof coffee smells and taste like pandan water. Matcha latte is super diluted.

Overall the drinks are all diluted. Don’t go if you really love matcha!

I wish I could take this place back to Canada with me! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is FANTASTIC (really fuels my vegan heart), and the drinks? ! TO DIE FOR. Not pictured here, is the “Coffee Booster” smoothie that I had TWICE

Loved my visits here while I stayed in Canggu, and whoever runs the Instagram page is a total sweetheart.

As with most places in Canggu the prices are higher with sneaky taxes. BUT matcha cafe is a spot where you get what you pay for and that’s excellent food In a nice accessible location.

One of my absolute favorite cafes in Canggu! I come here very often because I love their coffee and the food is healthy and well priced (tax and service included). The avo plates and mediterranean salad are top!

Great small spot hidden just around the corner of the roadjunction. Great atmosphere and lovely food. Vast choice of organic, fresh, dishes, juices and homemade match yoghurt and more. Oh and they have good coffee too!

One of the worse cafe in Canggu I’ve ever been, I took a pineapple juice and it was just yellow water no taste at all, and a Nutella Pancake, if you put Nutella on the menu you should put Nutella also on the pancake not normal chocolate. My girlfriend took a Cappuccino and it was a coffee with some water added.never again

A fantastic place for vegan food.
We had the protein power breakfast, Nutella (home made vegan) pancakes, Buddah bowls and coffee.
All were fantastic and reasonably priced.
A must if you are in the area.

Nice and relaxing cafe in the middle of a bustling tourist area with good selection of healthy and great food. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much Matcha family for being so beautiful. The employees are such sweethearts and it’s expected when they’re serving such amazing food. I’ve been twice now and have had the vegan Matcha burger, hands down the best vegan burger I’ve ever head and the sweet potato chips are a great side, and I’ve also had the macrobiotic bowl which again was one of the best bowls I’ve ever had, especially the goji berry sauce. Wonderful place, you won’t be disappointed
