3 days with Cam improved my skills more than an entire year of surfing on my own. He’s extremely detailed and very good at providing helpful feedback. Video analysis of EVERY wave was absolutely brilliant.

We’d go out to different spots & at different times each day, spending on the conditions. After seeing the other surf schools in the water (not teaching much of anything), I was definitely pleased with my choice.

The other 4 days surfing with just his employee was not as helpful. He would help position me to catch the wave, but didn’t provide much other feedback. Sometimes Cam would provide a note after reviewing the videos from these days.

This is not really a “surf camp” anymore since they don’t have their own villa. I was just put in the Balé Bingin hotel on the beach by myself, then picked up each day to surf. The hotel was at the bottom of a ton of stairs (which I was not thrilled about), but by the end I did enjoy it. Epic ocean views and a beachfront restaurant with live music every night.

Overall, it’s an amazing experience if you can make sure you’re in the water with Cam, but it’s not really the immersive surf camp experience that I thought it was from the website. Next time, I would do my own thing in Uluwatu and just get lessons with Cam.

If you want to improve your surfing - you have to see Cam! We improved so much in 11 days thanks to his feedback and video analysis. We went through all the video footage together daily after surfing and he took time to go through all the steps from paddling to riding the wave step by step in each video.

When it comes to surfing he is a like an engineer - he covers every step from reading the waves to actually riding them and can exactly tell you why something didn’t work out or why it did. You will leave with a hell of a skill set!

Cam is a hell of an educator. As a P. E teacher myself I highly value clear instruction and the ability to motivate others past their comfort zone. He's exactly who you want along your side in the water. As an intermediate I had basics such as the ability to pop up on a wave, the intuition to turn on waves, how to stay with the waves energy and how to lightly carve the waves' face (when I'm on my frontside).

I've had experience in crowded lineups in other parts of the world, and I must admit I was intimidated having never surfed proper Bali waves, nor their lineups. Cam has the ability to correct what he sees with very positive, constructive criticism in the water, and out the water during his surf analysis lessons while you watch the waves you caught on film.

I've been to many surf camps across the world yet Cam is with no pun intended, next level. In the past I've had surf analysis and they've been extremely helpful, but Cam's patience, passion and teaching ability consistently provides you with a clear next step for progression and multiple strategies to achieve that.

I was not able to perform a proper duck dive, which he taught me in a week's time. My paddling technique, which I thought was ok after 6 years of surfing, was corrected and maximized for efficiency, making a cornerstone difference. My pop up on waves are significantly better, with improved technique to angle into them.

Going to Cam is like getting a Hugo Boss tailor made suit. He'll look at your abilities, whether beginner or intermediate and will significantly progress them as opposed to going to another surf camp with a high turnover rate of customers. You'll learn a lot while feeling comfortable in surf spots you might otherwise have found daunting.

If you're really keen to see what you can do in surfing, you've found the place. See you again in a couple months man

Just finished a week at Nextlevel and had an absolutely amazing time! Cam and his crew are the best coaches I've ever been around for any sport. You get so much 1 on 1 time; in the water, on the waves, going over the videos, practicing at the house, fitness and stretching techniques, and the theories of surfing (watching the water, learning to be safe, and working with the ocean instead of against it). I learned so much this week, and feel like I progressed my surfing by years! We surfed 3 different spots and had a blast at every spot.
The house is lovely, big room with AC that works FANTASTIC and hot water showers! The location is great, you can walk to several delicious restaurants and Padang Padang beach was only a 5 min walk.
Theresa made incredibly delicious meals that catered to our diets and were different every day, which was very much enjoyed!
We made some great friends while staying here, had fantastic conversations, and will use all of the information/techniques for the rest of our lives. A million thanks, its 100% worth your time and money, it truly exceeded all of my expectations! If you get an opportunity to come here do it!

During my 7 day surf camp, I learned wave theory, how to catch my own waves, how to paddle efficiently, pop up, and ride the wave face of green waves. I feel so much more confident in the water and have actual board control. Watching the videos of you surfing is a game changer. You can see where the errors are being made and work to improve them every day. Theresa made wonderful food and arranged some of the best massages I've had. Thank you Cam and Theresa!

I was made aware of several important aspects of surfing which I'd never even considered and felt like I'd made good progress throughout the week. Also the video analysis is the game changer, Cam explains in great detail what is good & bad about your rides. It's also humbling to see yourself surfing on video.shredding I was not.

I came as an intermediate surfer; popping up, going down the line and thinking about cutbacks. My stance was wrong and needed improvement to start getting into turns. The daily video feedback and help from Cameron are very effective in fixing errors that if go unchecked will hinder your surfing potential.

The wave (baby Padang) is ideal for cutback and popup practice, perhaps a bit busy during the high season. Nothing that can be done about that though. All in all, a very helpful week and worthwhile surf camp. Throwing spray now! Cheers Cam

I surfed for five days with Cameron and his crew - best surf camp experience to date. The video analysis is super helpful to spot your own faults. Plus Cam and team are in the water leading you to the right takeoff spot and talking you through what went right / wrong so a completely different level to norms surf camps where they just dump you with a soft top and say “good luck”! Will hopefully be back next year!

Perfect location for surfing and visiting the peninsula. I ve been there with two friends of mine and two very nice guests. We all enjoyed the video analysis after each session. We had an amazing week at Next Level Surf Camp. The accommodation is awesome, we had a huge en-suite room with a balcony, and the food and drinks were great, especially the super strong ginger tea!
But obviously the focus of our stay was the surfing and Cam’s coaching and methods did not disappoint. He is incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgable about every aspect of the sport. His analysis of your surfing is so detailed and he provides solid steps you can take towards improving and progressing your strategy and technique. He even has exercises you can do to improve the physical aspects of the sport. The feedback and knowledge I’ve gained in a week at Next Level has given me enough to work on for years!
I also want to mention how welcoming and friendly all of the staff are, you will feel like part of the family for a week!

Cam who runs the show at NextLevel Surfcamp Bali, is extremely passionate about surfing.

This guy will tell you everything you need to know to improve your surfing or he can simply tell you everything about surfing in general. I don't think you'll find a much more passionate guy about surfing.

He runs a very private surf camp in Bali, and makes sure that you leave a far better surfer than when you arrived.

He loves video analysis, and he records all your waves and goes through them frame by frame with you, and shows you why you either failed or succeeded. It's one of the best learning experiences the.you get to see yourself on all the different types of waves.

Then the next time you are out on the water, you'll know exactly what to do, because he went over all of it with you, and gave you exercises to practice.

Anyone from beginner, intermediate, or advanced can definitely learn many things from Cam and his team.

My girlfriend and I spent a week with Cam and his crew at NextLevel Surfcamp and absolutely loved it. We both noticeably improved day-by-day thanks to Cam's detailed guidance: The video analysis after each session was particularly helpful. We've left armed with a load of Surf-Yoga exercises to keep improving until our next visit too. The included lunches were great and it was really nice to have a bunch of spare time to explore the area when we weren't surfing or relaxing by the pool. We're already looking forward to our next trip!

Great experience with next level surf camp. It's not only the surf lessons (which are tailored to each individual), but also the training and support given afterwards. The video analysis is thoroughly done, and Cameron would invest however long it takes to make sure he presented the theory and feedback properly. Everyone from the guesthouse is extremely welcoming, and they put a lot of effort in keeping everyone happy. Cameron has also arranged to have my surfboard fixed while I was there! Can only complain about not spending enough time there. Lessons were progressing, a shame I had to leave eventually.

We had the most amazing time at Nextlevel Surfcamp. Cameron was the best surfing instructor we had so far. His teaching approach is probably unique: Daily video analysis is super helpful in showing you what things you need to work on, Cameron demonstrates exercises that can be done on a yoga mat or in the pool to make the most of your surf training, he is incredibly good at spotting the things that go wrong when you can't quite make a wave, he also never fails to highlight your progress, which is incredibly motivating. The rooms are huge and clean and definitely worth the money. Theresa his wife and their son are super sweet, and so is the rest of the staff. The food was excellent, they even cooked vegan meals for us.

This top-notch surf camp lives up to its name in every single way. Surf coach Cameron and his wonderful wife Teresa have created a supportive, inspiring, challenging and results-oriented environment to practice your surfing technique and become a better surfer in just a week. Come here if you want to exponentially increase your wave count, clean up your technical mistakes, have tons more fun in the water, and learn the secrets to great surfing that are usually only reserved for the pros. Unlike other surf camps that offer 1 or maybe 2 video analysis sessions, Cameron gives you 7! This is a game changer. Imagine having your entire surf session videotaped and then analyzed frame by frame with a surf coach focused entirely on your improvement, seven sessions in a row. I can't emphasize enough how beneficial this is to improving your surfing the right way. I learned so much about my own surfing during this week, I was able to improve rapidly and catch better waves in just days, and confidently enter the water knowing just what I need to do. Treat yourself to this experience and stop wasting time making unnecessary surfing mistakes!

When you're not out surfing, Teresa will take care of you at home, cooking delicious, authentic Indonesian meals and helping you out with whatever you may need. Her kind staff are also always attentive and willing to assist with a smile. The rooms and grounds are worth every cent as well, with one of the best locations in the area. But the real star of this camp is Cameron, who will enthusiastically help you to achieve more than you thought possible. It feels amazing to have him on your side!

Next Level surf instruction! Not like every other surf camp. Stay here if you really want to improve your surfing. Lovely family run homestay with traditional Indonesian cooking (breakfast and lunch included). But the real reason to stay here is Cameron the owner and head surf coach. He really knows his stuff is so motivated to help people improve their surfing. Open for all levels but particularly helpful for intermediates who are maybe nervous about surfing a new spot or needing some help to know what to work on. Or beginners that want to see progress fast. On the water they help with positioning in the break, knowledge of the spots, skills to improve your wave count. Then out of the water its video analysis of surf technique and floor and pool exercises to improve technique. Really can't recommend this place enough. I have stayed at many surf camps in Indonesia but this comes out top! I will be back.
