This is a trusted surf school. The instructure teach us step by step how to stand on the board. He encourage us till we can stand. And the stand on board guarantee is true. I can stand on the board! It feel save to get my surf lesson with Odysseys surf school even for me that have not surf lesson before nor experience playing water in the beach/sea. The facility is professional.

Unfortunately, the lessons lack value for money. The 120-hour beginners course only lasts 105 minutes. This includes a 15 minute break, with the teacher returning after 20 minutes.

After a 5-minute introduction, you go into water. The teacher hardly pointed out mistakes and seemed bored. You get the feeling that the staff are looking forward to the end of the day rather than taking care of the students. The teacher aligns the board and pushes. You hardly get any suggestions for improvement. The staff's English is poor compared to other locations in Bali. Given the many good reviews, I would have expected more.

I've been surfing for a long time and I know how to swim, but safety is the most important thing, so I don't ride for a long time, and when I go to Bali, I only surf here. There is an instructor and a guard who keeps watching, so I am not anxious. It fills up the class time and helps you ride one more wave.

Definitely the BEST surf school in Bali! Every surfing session felt like pure bliss - sunshine, the sea and great people. Odyssey Surf School has deepened my enthusiasm for surfing. They have everything you need for an unforgettable surfing experience: awesome coaches, life guard, surfboards, shower, towels, lockers, rash guards, water in the office and photographer. One very important point to highlight is how amazing the coaches are - very supportive, caring, passionate and responsible.

I’ve surfed 26 times with them and cheers to many more sessions with Odyssey.

My kids had 3 days of lessons with Oddysseys. My older two (10 and 12) had a 2-on-1 lesson and my youngest (8) had a 1-on-1 lesson. Youngest was provided with a helmet.

The kids all had an excellent time, they were all practically beginners but all made great progress and had lots of fun. Husband and I appreciated having somewhere comfortable to sit and watch them. We also like the life guard who came out and actively watched the lesson.

Absolutely recommend this surf school. Great set up, lovely fun and friendly teachers. The photos from the lessons look great too. Thanks for looking after us!

I rented a board and a locker from them.

A little more expensive, but the quality of their boards is higher, the facilities are clean and you get a warm towel at the end.

Have sent my kid for three day training under nana. He is great. After three session my boy can do a bit of bouncing on small board. I also took training on one day. The only issue in this area is that for green wave have to wait for days with 3 to 5 ft wave. So not everyday is good for beginner to intermediate level. I also like the availability of shower facility. After surfing u can go straight to next destination.

5 stars service! Our instructor, T was super encouraging and patient with me and my son. Helped us to understand how to read the sets, picking the right waves and gave us the needed extra push when can't paddle no more! Lol

We had two semi-private classes in November. They are friendly and very professional. If we would stay longer in Kuta we would definitely go back to this surf school

A 10 out of 10 experience! The coach Madeti was really communicative and encouraging. He was helping push and adjust the board so that I can catch every chance to pop up. Thank you Madeti! The course was also organized in a very intuitive way with reasonable break time. Most importantly, the team was very organized, with one member near the beach ready to pick up your board or help you stand up. 100% safe

First time surfing, booked a one on one lessons and received coach Madi- could not have been better! Definitely recommend!

Had a 2 hour surfing lesson with a friend. We got an instruction first and many tips along the way. It was a lot of fun! Would do it again.

My husband and I took beginner surfing lessons from Odysseys. He had surfed once before 10 years ago and I had never tried. They were very patient with us, helped us navigate the waves and learn to stand without the pressure of paddling, and then helped us figure out how to paddle as we progressed. They were encouraging and gave good advice without seeming like they were annoyed that we couldn’t get it quickly. They have nice shower facilities for afterward and also took hundreds of photos of us learning to surf and allowed us to purchase all the photos via AirDrop for ~$10USD. Would definitely recommend this group!

The best experience I had in Kuta. All the instructors are very friendly, they give good advices, and I always felt safe because there is a lifeguard from the school on the beach watching you.

This was a brilliant experience. The guys were engaging and great fun. We were a family of non-surfers with two young kids, one of whom was very anxious. By the end the kids were standing and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend

Had a great experience with Odyssey surf school this past week. My two daughters had four mornings of private lessons and went from never surfing to being able to catch a wave and ride in on their own. The surf school is in a good location and has great facilities. They even have a photographer on staff that took some great shots for us. My daughters instructors were Saiful and Agus and they were great at teaching in a way that my kids could understand and progress quickly. All the staff were helpful and friendly and made sure we were having fun. I highly recommend this place, we will be returning on our next holiday.

I go to Bali Island for surfing once or twice a year, ODYSSEYS is the best surfing school in Kuta Beach.
You can get good service here, whether it is beginner or advanced for surfing
It is very different from the surfboard rental vendors everywhere on the beach. There is a shop on the lobby of the 4-star hotel "Mercure Kuta Beach Bali". The coaches are very professional and patient. You are very secure and safe when you learn to surf. When I'm surfing myself, I'm very relieved to trust my beginner friend to a coach.
There are Starbucks and Pizza Hot in front of the store. Kuta Beach is across the street, ODYSSEYS is the best choice for surfing trips.

It was very cool) guys are professionals.for 3 lessons the price is 1.2 mil Rp. Last year, I took 1 lesson elsewhere for the price.and then immediately 3. I was very comfortable studying.and I caught my wave about 7 times. I highly recommend

Hands down the best school around.
We are 2 intermediate surfers and were looking for locals who go out with us and show us the spot. Great teachers. Especially Tu, Made and Blake were truly great. The teachers are really interested in improving your surfing.
Value for money is unbeatable and by far better than the cheap schools right at the Beach.

It's my third time learning how to surf and everything was SUPERB! Love love the staffs, they are the friendliest! Bli VJ is the best in coaching me how to surf! Very supportive, pushed myself harder, and gave great feedback! And of course Bli Made who took awesome pictures and video while you surf! Best. Experience. EVER!

Had my first lesson today with Odysseys Surf School Bali and it was wonderful! The couches were very helpful and very clear when they delivered the theories also when they assist you when you are on the water. Odysseys should be on your number one list if you if you want to learn surfing in Bali.

Smooth arrangement, superb team, and awesome boss! Michael really takes care of his staffs and client well, and you can feel it the way they treat the students - with much respect. I always come back here to bring my friends- first timers. Coming back again this December!
