My friend and I stayed at this.beyonf beautiful resort for 8 nights/9 days. Every need was met and if there was anything extra you needed the entire staff made sure it happened. Whether it was extra surf lessons, extra meals or rides into town they accommodated it all. The resort was relaxing and felt like home, the entire stay felt like we were staying with family, especially the dogs Marco and Tyson! The rooms were clean and super comfortable, the meals were delicious (they accommodate all diets and restrictions). We can not wait to go back and stay longer with our Pelan Pelan family!

We stayed at Pelan Pelan for 6 nights and we really liked it. The place is a bit remote but in my opinion it's a good thing. You get to have peace from the busy Canggu and still be 15mins away from the center with a scooter.

The surfing was really good, they give you a lot of attention as it's usually 1 instructor per couple or even individual. We were switching instructors for the first 2-3 days so you get to repeat some same things but Rino and Putu are great at what they do and super positive team all around the camp.

The massage was also amazing and the breakfast is really good.

The other thing is the extras which are a bit more expensive, and we booked through booksurfcamps so it was a bit unclear on what is included and what is not.

I have been meaning to stay at Pelan Pelan for years and I have to say - it was well worth the wait. The staff, surf lessons, sense of community, meals, yoga.just perfect. Thanks so much for hosting James and I, we will be back.

Our stay at Pelan Pelan in May was amazing. The staff, the grounds, the surf guides, the food, the rooms- it all exceeded our expectations.

Upon arrival, the girls at the front desk were so very accommodating and friendly- they were absolutely the sweetest, always willing to help. The food was all amazing and they worked around our surf schedule to ensure we were fed:)

Our surf guide, Rino, was the best! We did extra surfing with our surf package and Rino made sure we were taken care of the entire time and took us to many different spots throughout the week. His instruction was so helpful and he always made sure we were comfortable in the water and having fun.

We also really enjoyed taking the bikes down to Seseh beach and surrounding restaurants. We preferred this scene compared to busy Canggu and it was an easy bike ride from the retreat.

Overall, wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to do it again. Thanks for everything Pelan Pelan!

Beautiful place with super friendly staff! Everything was great, and the highlight for us was the surfing with instructor Alit! He combined theory with encouragement so well. A surfer who loves surfing and sharing that love!

My experience was so nice, I had to book twice. For my Bali trip I decided to spend the first week at Pelan Pelan with the get it all package. I loved it. The retreat is beautiful, the staff rivals that of a 5* hotel in customer experience and both the yoga and surfing was amazing. And to the other guests staying at the same time: thanks for making new friendships!

I loved my first week there so much I booked it again at the end of my trip to make sure that my Bali experience ended positive.

I cant recommend this place enough. If I visit Bali again I would definitely book here again.

I’m so glad that I decided to choose Pelan Pelan and I don’t have enough words to describe how good they are. It was my first time as a solo traveller and the experience was amazing. The location is in the middle of the rice fields, peaceful, quiet, with beautiful spots near by and 15 min away of the busy Canggu. The kitchen is amazing with delicious Indonesian recipes that they prepare with a lot of time and love (they are very careful about allergies and they’ve a lot of vegetarian meals). The place is always impeccable and they do a really good job on cleaning the rooms everyday. The front desk is always taking care of you and they’ll help you in everything you need with a big smile. I did the surf package and I really improved my surfing a lot, they have boards for all levels and they will find the best spot for you. They stay in the water with you all the time, giving you tips and explaining so well how the read the waves, where is the channel to paddle out, the best position in the line up.a MASTERCLASS!
I really want to thank you Putu and the team (Kommand, Komo, Dadi, Rino and Alit) for sharing with me their love for the ocean.
I’ve had two incredible massages that felt like heaven after all this days of surfing and relaxed myself with the magical classes of Yin Yoga.

The ultimate surf camp experience in Bali. It’s so nice to be looked after by such experienced and beautiful locals. This place is something special. You really feel like you’re in the real Bali. The waves can feel a little daunting in Bali but I felt really looked after the whole time. The instructors are very professional and clear with their guidance. The location is a little out of the centre but I really enjoyed the peace and quiet - lovely chilled vibes here. You get to know the rest of the guests well and it really feels like a family by the end of the week. Thanks for having us!

My stay at Pelan Pelan was like a daydream, it was just what I needed and it was beyond my expectations.
I stayed 3 weeks in this paradise to recharge my batteries and learn to surf.
I was more than delighted with the welcome given, the staff is so kind and attentive. You immediately feel at home and Pelan Pelan is a real family, especially since we are only 14 guests maximum, it's perfect to stay in a Zen atmosphere.
I loved being away from the crowds of Canggu, Pelan Pelan is a peaceful haven in the middle of the rice fields. Everything is well thought out to make your stay a real paradise: the green spaces are very well maintained, the vegetation is lush, the pool area is pleasant, the facilities and rooms are clean and well laid out.
The surf lessons were great, I sincerely thank all the instructors who are very professional and who adapt to our level. We were only 2 guests for a single instructor which allows us to have real personalized advices and facilitates our progress.
I also discovered yoga during my stay. What a great discovery thanks to Sida and Puspa! We had 2 different types of yoga (Yin and Power), but both complementary. Coupled with the morning surf, it was the best combination! Followed by a massage, it's the perfect typical day between sport and relaxation. The masseuses are also very talented. Having a massage is a real break outside of time and this allows you to escape completely.
Finally, the food was absolutely delicious, homemade, healthy and diversified. A real delight every day thanks to the two cooks Putu and Kadek.

So, I have only one thing to add: I miss Pelan Pelan family very much and I hope to be able to come back one day to this paradise. I 1000% recommend this surf and yoga retreat, so go for it!

Absolutely amazing place! Can't speak highly enough of them. The location is amazing, the rooms are beautiful. Everything is spotless and well equipped. The staff are amazing, you really feel like part of the family. I was a solo traveller and there were many others as well, as well as some couples. Everyone got along, everyone ate together. Food was excellent. Yoga was excellent, we were taken to surf spots I have never been to or heard of before, really well taken care of in the surf. I really can't fault anything at all. I highly recommend, and will definitely return again! Thank you guys all so much, I came back home a new man!

The way they treat other surfers is unaceptable.
Disrespect and block other surfers to push their students in.
They are a danger for other surfers and their students.

I stayed here for 2 weeks in April and had SUCH a good time, I am going back in July with my two girls. The surf coaches were so kind and incredible, I love that you get the same coach the whole time. The staff were all like family and you start to make the most incredible bond with them. Nothing is too hard for them to help you with. Putu went out of his way to get my watch fixed, Meita was an absolute darling and had the most incredible conversations with you. All the people that stay there were diverse, and interesting and I made some great friends. The food was beautiful, and the gardens, hangout areas and the pool was divine. I could really go on and on but I will stop and say - it was the best holiday I have had in a really really long time.

My husband and I recently booked a week-long stay at Pelan Pelan. What more can we say than we had the best experience we’ve ever had at a resort and hope to return soon! I can’t speak highly enough of the experience at Pelan Pelan. From the communication we received before our arrival to well-wishes upon our departure, everything about our stay was exceptional. Emma and Putu were extremely attentive to our needs and accommodating to whatever request we raised. They also created a warm and caring environment that left us feeling more like family than guests. Even if surfing and yoga aren’t your “thing, ” you will be nothing but glad that you booked Pelan Pelan. This is where you should stay in Bali!

We were (and still are) inexperienced surfers and yogis. We had never tried surfing before and weren’t sure what to expect. We received individual attention from our surf guides and feedback that was encouraging and specific. We felt very safe and comfortable with them and their expertise, even as brand-new surfers. They took us to a spot good for beginners our first two days, then let us graduate to other beaches. Each day they had us work on specific skills to improve our form. They conducted video analyses that reinforced their feedback in the water. I am sure the feedback would be valuable to an experienced surfer, too.

Our yoga sessions were also tailored to our (in) experience. We were offered the chance to try a few different types of sessions. Each session included a lot of poses that were helpful for working out the soreness from surfing. Our instructors were kind and accommodating to us. We thoroughly enjoyed each session.

I can’t speak highly enough of the amenities at Pelan Pelan. I start to write about each as “one of the best parts of our experience. ” Our room was light, comfortable, and welcoming. The pool made for a great place to relax with a smoothie after returning from surfing. The massages were incredible. The food was varied and absolutely delicious. Each part contributed to our feeling healthy, relaxed, and rested throughout our stay.

Emma and Putu have created an incredible piece of paradise at Pelan Pelan. We were overwhelmingly satisfied and grateful for the experience they cultivated for us during our short week there. Their kindness and welcoming spirit left us feeling more like we were visiting family members rather than booking a resort.

I'm not staying there, but live in the area and they're cutting trees with a chainsaw at 8AM in the morning. Very noisy, not a nice thing to do when you live in a quiet environment.

A beautiful family run resort with authentic local atmosphere and very friendly, calm, and generous owners; makes this place a fantastic option for anyone visiting or staying in Bali.

A wonderful place to spend a vacation if you want to learn how to surf (or improve your existing skills) and also relax! It's about 20 minutes outside of Canggu but don't let that stop you from choosing this place - you'll easily be able to get into town to enjoy the food or you can order in! As a solo traveler I especially loved that, despite people coming and going, Pelan Pelan felt like a community as you enjoy most breakfasts and lunches and yoga sessions as a group.

The place is like a paradise, so beautiful, clean, the staff is amazing and the food delicious!
