Food is absolutely unreal in the Warung downstairs - absolutely delicious! Also the family that owns the place are so so lovely!

Dinner here was fantastic. The staff are enthusiastic, attentive, and genuinely care about your experience, and providing you with good food. Don't be afraid to have at least one starter or dessert! The serving sizes aren't exactly small, but the food was so fresh and flavoursome that we had to try more. Almost the whole menu is traditional Indonesian cuisine, but we also tried the guacamole starter, which was some of the best guac I've ever had. It is also priced just a hair above the average Warung, but the food and service is certainly far above, so the pricing is very good.

Putu’s Goreng Kecap was delicious! It is a must try, especially if you want to try new Indonesia food and are over just eating Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng.

I keep coming back here chilled spot, good portions especially if you ask for jumbo size, healthy preperation, cooked with coconut oil, delicious all round. The special sauce is very tasty thanks team

Amazing asian food, I had satay with chicken and my husband had curry with chicken. It was absolutely amazing. Also the fresh juices are super tasty, you won’t regret eating in this restaurant, small and cozy.

We enjoyed staying with Nyoman and his family for about two months! That was a lovely time when they taught us about Balinese traditions, culture, and religion. We had the pleasure of eating many times in their restaurant - Putu’s Wild Ginger. They serve delicious meals which have a taste of a Balinese home. I strongly recommend living with them or just having lunch/dinner there!

Everything was delicious! I had brem to drink, a fruity pink rice-wine slightly alcoholic drink, and I'd recommend it if you like Japanese sake.

Wow the smoked duck set is a must-try if you're in Ubud! 100% worth the effort of going a day before to make the 24h advanced order. It's a pity there wasn't a whatsapp number to make the order, but the restaurant is just off from the main street and really easy to find. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Whenever my family visits Bali, we always make our way up to Ubud specifically to see Putu and her family. The food is, of course, an added bonus, but the hospitality and warmth that radiates from Putu and her husband are the main course. Don't miss the Balinese smoked duck (order a day in advance!) or her Ayam Betutu if it is available. Then, settle down for an intimate dinner while you exchange stories about life, the world, and food. This restaurant is one you don't want to miss.

What a fabulous Warung in Ubud. Such friendly welcoming hosts and delicious and fresh food. Well worth a visit for dinner. We tried Putu’s special dish and the soups and meal in themselves. Delicious.

The food and drink’s are excellent.
For main courses I had Putu's Goreng Kecap, Nasi Goreng and chicken satay.
For dessert I had Pisang Goreng and crepe with pineapple.
I highly recommend five stars

Putu's Wild Ginger is a truly authentic Ubud experience. My family shared the slow-cooked duck feast (order 24 hours ahead), which is made up of numerous dishes;the duck was a beautifully balanced combination of smoke, spices, and melt in your mouth fowl. The restaurant is cosy and unpretentious, Putu and her family very friendly and welcoming. I strongly recommend trying this place out!

Very delicious meal and fair prices! And it is located in a rather quiet area so you can enjoy your meal in peace. The owners are very friendly and warm-hearted and prepare everything themselves.

The owners are very nice and welcoming. I love their version of Nasi Campur, it's quite a unique version of it you won't find anywhere else. We've also had their Bebek Betutu which needs to be ordered a day in advance and comes with a feast! They place is small but very cozy and simple, and the price is not local price but in the lower range specially for Ubud.

Visited here after reading TA reviews and was near to our hotel. Really delicious food and friendly service. Can recommend the Nasi Campur and Guacamole appetizer. They will prepare special vegetable dishes, if available. All food is very fresh and tasty and well cooked. A good selection of drinks as well. Loved the Lassi and Special Tea. Highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable for fresh, well cooked family prepared food.

My partner and I ate three delicious dinners and and one scrumptious lunch at Wild Ginger. The restaurant is part of the Nandini Jungle Resort which is approximately 30 minutes from main town, Ubud. I highly recommend eating at Wild Ginger. The food is fresh and tastt. You even have views of the beautiful Ubud jungle.

Very delicious food! Try nasi campur.luxury interior place at back side little alley. Friendly family staffs. Very good wifi. If you are vegan request other one instead of egg fry.

Was honestly amazed how nice this family was and is. The food is superb, so good we are coming back tomorrow for Putus special duck dinner which you have to order 24hours in advance but if it is anything like our first visit I'm sure I will be even more impressed.

Putu‘s Wild Ginger is a very nice and cosy place in a small and quiet road in the center of Ubud. We tried different traditional Balinese and Indonesian restaurants in different places in Bali and liked Putu’s the most. The food is amazing and the staff is very welcoming and lovely.
Overall we can highly recommend the place and we would definitely come back.

We visited this place twice during our stay in Ubud and really enjoyed it. It’s a tiny, family-run restaurant (5 tables) and the food was really delicious, authentic Indonesian cuisine. Both the nasi goreng and mie goreng were delicious. A lovely, peaceful place to enjoy good food.

The food is very good. But for me as a girl and I don’t eat too much it is not enough. I asked for more veggies instead of so much rice and they didn’t understand. Taste really good but more like an appetizer than a main course. Kind of disappointing if you pay that much in comparison to other places and they charge 15% extra.

Nice small restaurant where you can find some few selection of Indonesian dishes at a very good price! Indonesian Guacamole, fried sweet potato, noodles and rice! And don’t forget to ask for the fried banana for dessert!
