Ristorante Italia - Hotel Kumala Pantai

Until today I really liked this place. BUT.today they brought me dangerous pizza.
Pizza with seafood.
NEVER GET SEAFOOD PIZZA HERE!
THIS IS DANGEROUS FOR YOUR HEALTH!
There are shell shards underneath the melted cheese!
The waiter was informed about this.
Apart from words of apology, no measures were taken. We paid the bill in full.
We are very disappointed and are crossing this place off our list to visit.
One star specifically for this dangerous incident.
This is how it happens, one situation cancels out all the good things that happened before.

The atmosphere during the evening meal was very good. There was a cheerleading performance, followed by a performance by the resident singer. The lead singer's transliteration of Western songs was great, and the guitarist also played very well. The price of the meal was medium, without service charge. I ordered a clam. The only drawback of the pasta is that it is dry and tastes too salty! The other dish was spaghetti with black sauce and it was too salty! Disappointing, the atmosphere is not enough for a live performance, but it is really exciting and makes you feel like you are on vacation.

What a lovely place to have a meal with your loved ones! It's the best deal you can get for a nice, humble restaurant by the beach in Legian/Seminyak area. However, I hope they pay more attention to the freshness of ingredients, especially vegetables.

The Sands features a proper pizza oven and very reasonable priced meals. The prices include tax and gratuity which is a rarity these days in Bali. They have live bands most nights which is also nice. The service is good and the food is consistently tasty. The Kumala Pantai hotel has been around a very long time and their restaurant has a lovely view, good food and a nice atmosphere.

The pasta is good, cooked al dente, the ingredients also seem to be of high quality. A little more expensive than normal but well spent.

Food here is okay and reasonably priced. I went more for the atmosphere. Had a good time watching the cabaret show and the band after.

Really delicious food. Amazing wood fired margarita pizza- amongst the best I’ve ever had (and we get goood pizza in melbourne). The steak was excellent. Tender and tasty. Gorgeous garden setting under fairy lights. Prices amazingly cheap for the quality. We’ll be back.

Amazing food at The Sands. Best food especially Italian food in all of Bali. Very affordable, great quality and service is exceptional! Can not recommend this place enough!

Not as good as anticipated, bacon impossible to eat, like trying to chew rubber, so overcooked.

I tried Sop buntut - 100k
Clear broth, not strong meat flavour. They put mushroom on the soup too.
Comes with 3 types of sambal.
The meat is tender but so sticky to the bones.
Usually when i eat sop buntut the meat fall of easily from the bones. But this is not the case with them.
Also when the waiter about to serve the food, some chips (emping) fall from the plate, he said sorry and i said its fine. Then he push the chips on my plate to be more to the center (so its not going to fall). BUT he did it with his bare hands, I appreciate his initiative however its not hygiene.

Best woodfire pizza, pasta (and prices) outside of Italy in a long time. No gluten free pizza or pasta though

Perfect! It is not easy for me to be able to enjoy Italian cuisine in Indonesia since usually authentic Italian food is never the case. Most of the times, it's always some fusion Italian food that most of the restaurant here is serving.

In this restaurant is different. Their menu is not only consist of Italian cuisine, but their Italian food is really really good. I said it again, it's really good.

I love how they stick with the original recipe without any extra stuffs being put on the plate. I ordered Spaghetti Scoglio with Marinara Sauce. It was fantastic. The Tomato passata is balanced. You can taste its freshness. The pasta is al dente to perfection. My teeth confirmed it.

Beside the Scoglio Pasta, my family also ordered Aglio Oglio which tasted very nice. Even the portion was perfect.

The Pizze was also nice. We ordered Margherita and it was very good. You can actually taste the balance Tomato Passata, Mozzarella Cheese and the Basil. So good.

Another positive point for me was the service. The staffs performed their duty nicely. But I gotta give extra credit to the Chef and the kitchen staffs. Grrat job.

Every time my husband and I are back in Bali for holidays we always stop here! Love the Italian food! It’s very tasteful and service is great! Thank you!

Pizza was great.coctails were made fom water.service is fast.they take credit cards.so.i liked the pizza and i didnt like mojito and daiquiry.wouldnt go here again but would reccomend for food and juices.no coctails.enjoy it!

Not impressed about the food, rather expensive for what they serve, saved by the good service and excellent live music.

Lively environment, friendly staff and the food is nice. Best place to chill during night time and we get to watch some dancing show.

Location is good and food is descent. Service is TERRIBLE and I’m not a picky consumer. Staff has NO IDEA what is going on. Constant problems with the orders and more problems w/ the bill. Get ready when your bills comes - there will be drama.

Great Atmosphere and very reasonable prices three courses depending on what you have about 17 $AUD per head with entertainment band most nights is hard to beat! Make sure you try Exresso Pacotta dessert that's heaven.

Hubby ordered the pork ribs/Italian sausage/park fillet with wedges.gumboots at home are more tender.spaghetti with seafood not nice as tiny prawns not even shelled. Told waiter disappointment but did not seem to care.

We come here for the wood fired pizzas which are very good for the price. Live music is not too loud and there’s usually a bit of light crowd participation encouraged by the band particularly if there’s kids in the audience, however the dining areas are large enough that a quiet corner is always available.
Amenities are clean and modern, staff are friendly and attentive.

We had a lovely meal here, but by the time we got it, it was luke warm. However my son ate here and his meal was hot and delicious.

Breakfast included in accommodation though one gets sick of the omelets etc. Dinner in restaurant is very good.

Don’t go to this restaurant. My family and I all ordered pizzas and all had no taste. My seafood pizza come with mussle shells and whole prawns heads, tails and shells. I ate half a slice and experienced no taste at all. In 48 years I have never refused to eat a meal in a restaurant but half a slice is all I could eat!

Great food, great service, perfect sunset. A bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and set in beautiful gardens.
We had an issue of racism on our last visit so we won't be staying here again.
The restaurant used to be 5stars but it has dropped significantly. Such a shame, we absolutely loved dining here (sometimes multiple times a day!). Its a good spot for a drink or coffee in the morning.

Experienced traveller and always visit Kuala Pantai Restaurant for their Pizza! I would have to make comment that if you want to eat the best quality Pizza in Bali it is here. Wood burning oven and his pizza base is the best ever. Too many pizza types to mention here but I would recommend the Italian Pizza, fresh ingredients always. Lastly - the price is such good value here also 120. R, for an awesome pizza is hard to beat.
Happy hour here is buy 2 drinks get one Free. Not bad. Sit back here and watch the sunset every night. Will comment also on staff, always smiling and want to chat if you want! Keep up the good work Kuala Pantai.

Ich und mein kollege waren dort.meine pizza kam früher als sein essen und zwar mit sicher 10min abbstand! Und er hate sogar vorabb einen Salat bestelt.sogar der kam später als die Pitza.für ein "Italienisches" Restaurant sind die portionen wie auch überall in der Umgebung leider sehr klein.vergleichbar mit kinderportionen.das Personal war ausserdem leider auch nicht so prikelnd.was eig.der grund ist warum ich das hir schreibe.
Das beste am Besuch war das grosse Bier aber das wars auch schon.
