It is said to be the craft of Batik.
Two women before a loom. About twenty hostesses and saleswomen who come to intercept you as soon as the car stops! They are all in identical uniform. There is nothing authentic or artisanal. The place is very scripted. I only give one star out of respect to the women who work here. It is a place created and organized only for tourists. The prices are exorbitant. It's a shame because no one buys because of the very high prices. This is not what a savvy tourist is looking for. You can find better and much cheaper elsewhere. Unfortunately, it is a visit without any interest.

If you want to buy handmade silk goods in Bali, here you will find the largest selection. Found a couple of lovely glasses for myself and those closest to me who appreciate real craftsmanship and sparkles. Here you can also see how silk scarves are woven, how local people usually paint on the traditional patterns. Our driver stopped here since it was on the way. Or not height punt to visit in Bali.

A place where you can see the batik processing and also can buy things from here.

A place on the driver’s list.

Another tourist trap that drivers will take you to. They call it a batik village but it’s just a warehouse with a couple of staff outside that don’t start making anything until tourists show up. If they were proud of it they wouldn’t ban cameras.

Poor quality and overpriced products, rude staff, the worst shopping experience in Bali.

You can buy much better quality sarongs for less than a half price in Ubud market.

-For those who are interested;

I bought a sarong here, but I wanted to return it cause there were a bunch of stains in the back. But, the staff kept saying that I cannot return it because it's been 2 days (the shop was too far from where I stayed so I had to wait until I pass by again) and played with my guilt saying that the manager would scold them and they would have to pay if I return it. So I called the manager myself, who only blamed me for not checking, and just hung up on me while I was talking.

In the end, I didn't want to waste my time no more, nor give the staff too much of hard time, I had to exchange to a new one, which had stains too. While I was getting a new one, I said to the head staff that they cannot blame customers for their poor quality, and she just walked away saying something in the local language.

Knowledge for kids. Didn't buy anything since we don't need it. Still it's a nice clean place along the way to visit.

Hari ini, tidak ada pembuat tenun. Hanya pembuat batik saja. Semoga pekerja seni disini kembali bekerja.
