Amazing experience. Absolutely delectable food and a beautiful atmosphere. The staff are very attentive, friendly. Was great to have a chat with the manager at the end of our dinner. Looking forward to checking out their new location.
Good points.ambience and cocktails bad points.food very average expensive and staff just okay I heard this was one of the best fine ding restaurants in Seminyak maybe it was before COVID but the local warung was way better
We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend. Beef salad was fantastic and the duck san choy bow was excellent. Chicken Tandoori was as good as it could be and the cocktails we ordered were perfect. Only 1 criticism was that children were at the restaurant after 9pm which made for a little bit of a noise distraction considering the restaurant policy discourages children for the second seating at night. Overall very nice and would have liked to have a dessert but ran out of time.
Great service and ambience for a romantic dinner. The servers are attentive. My husband has a nut allergy so they brought a special menu for him. The only thing is, if you have a nut allergy, it limits your selection by 50%. A lot of the menu items that my husband was interested in ordering, did not list nuts but our server informed us that they still incorporated nuts in the sauce, for example. Otherwise, a great spot!
Tasty restaurant with a lovely garden atmosphere. Cuisine is a selection of Asian cuisine around the region rather than an Indonesian restaurant. Food quality was high quality.
Salty food and not worth the money. We came back after they reopened after Covid, food is bad, we had lamb curry it was salty and the meet was overcooked.and the duck was dry and oily. The price is already expensive and none of the main course comes with side dish, so you have to order rice if you wanna eat your curry.totally not as good as before, we absolutely paid too much compare to what got. We won’t come back again.
The food is very good, the ingredients very fresh, unfortenatly the service is very slow and a bit unattentive especially for that price. Overall good experience if you bring enough time.
Request for the al fresco seating as part of the experience! Food was heavenly as was the cocktails - brilliant tapas sharing portions to try the menu. Another excellent option from the sister Hujan Locale!
Best Indian food I’ve ever had. It is more upscale. I came in a tank top and they gave me a shirt to wear. Ha I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Indian food and a must go for anyone who loves Indian food.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner here, i cannot fault the food. We had a booking for 20 people and were served large selection of dishes with every dish served being tasty and spiced to perfection. Staff were attentive and the night was a great success.
Third visit to Sarong. We love coming here each trip to Seminyak. Best and most consistent restaurant in Seminyak for me. Only downside is it can be hot with the open air setup. Tough to find a better restaurant anywhere.
Fine, delicious, nice ambiance. The foods are nice, better come with friends at least 4 people to share the foods, and bill as well. This is fancy asian restaurant, they also have rule for the dress.
Definitely worth a visit as it lives up to the word of mouth praised by others. Dimly lit fancy decor and comfortable seating, only wish it was air conditioned.
Meals were amazing and full of flavour with clear use of fresh ingredients. Will definitely go back, next time I'm in Bali.
Some of the most unique and delicious tastes you will ever try paired with excellent service. The signature crispy pork belly and the Indian-Chinese style dumplings are a must try.
Superb restaurant, we had mostly Indian dishes and it was top notch. Really relaxed and romantic atmosphere as well. Highly recommend. Prices typical for high end Seminyak (e.g. ~180 for mains only)
The food, the staff and the interior were amazing. We had the butter Chicken for main course and it’s enough for two, also we had tandori chicken and steamed rice.
Basically they serve bad Indian food with good ambience. The food quantity was minimal and tasted a bit bland as Indian spice Flavours have a good impact which their dish failed to make.
Also I found the staff was really tired and a bit rude. Out of all the 30 restaurants I dined during my holiday in Bali, this was probably the one I disliked the most.
One of the best dinners ever. It’s not cheap in comparison to other good alternatives but still incredible value. If you’re lucky to nab Adi as your server, you’re in for a double treat.
For a swish meal and restaurant, you can't go past the Sarong. Every time we visit Bali we always book a table here. Food is exceptional, a little pricey than normal restaurants in Bali, but well worth a visit. Men must wear collared shirts, or you sit out in the front courtyard.
Really nice place with good Indian fusion food. The place feels quite posh and service and food quality is on point even though it isn't that expensive. Portions are not so big so don't hesitate to order more and share around the table. Really enjoyed the fried chicken and the cheese naans.
We loved the food and the atmosphere and lush design with great lightening.the crispy pork belly is magnificent and butter chicken Is just top notch.for dessert we tried the ‘Vietnamese creme brûlée and coconut ice cream’ it was just perfect!
Interesting modern Indian food with Asian accents. Some dishes suffer from being overly spiced or unbalanced. Love the ambience of the place and the kerala mojito
This is an amazing gem of a restaurant. If you don't have reservations, which is highly recommended, sit outside in the courtyard, you will be glad you did. A little pricey by Balinese standards but it is very reasonable compared to North America. All our meals were delicious but I do recommend the soft-shelled crab and the barramundi with a local bottle of chardonnay.
Very nice looking restaurant, setup and ambiance is very « luxuous » without being too much. Food menu have a broad selection, could only try so much! Everything I hate was very tasteful, was not « overly » spicy that you could not taste the multiples spices and flavour. Service was impeccable. Recommended in your gastronomic tour of Bali!
Food is fantastic however there is not a huge selection of non-spicy dishes. The restaurant is partially open so can get very hot even at night. I would have given 5 star however the service was below average, our server was rude and impatient.
