It was good. Kadek is very experienced and has put much thought into how to guide all levels of experience. Mask carving is unexpectedly physically demanding, and requires some strength and leg flexibility (which my friend and I do have) and was a meaningful and enjoyable experience.

Unique and inspiring place to create some art. Did a canvas painting lesson and it was awesome! Highly recommend this place!

What a marvellous experience we had with Dewi and Manbutur at Sawidji's photographic studio! We had couple of photographic sessions at Sawidji studio not really knowing what to expect, but from the very start we were guided through the photo shoots with very practiced hands. The results were exceptional. In the midst of controlled and free flowing activities Dewi somehow captured shots of us that told couple of stories that can be related to most people. It was fun, engaging, touching and an experience that will be in our memories always.

The biginning of the introduction that begins with a simple meditation with directions that really help me and help confidence to paint with colours on the canvas. I am very happy to have joined this class. It was calm and relaxing, a new painting experience for me. (Painting Meditation Workshop)

It was great oppotunity to meet Dian who is an aritist and directly listened the back ground of the exhivison for "Red Chair and the white Room" in the last exhivision day.
Also Dian let me shared my impression after quick skimmed the all art work and listened my ridicuious story telling. Then she clairified the intension of exhivison and the symbols of red chiken and withe duck one by one.
It was honor to hearing an explanation directly from the artist and Manbutur who is photograher also elaborate the current social issue in Bali and what they contributed to solve the issues as an artists.
I was glad not only to enjoy the art work but also to know what Sawidji gallery is doing to help the artists and as well as to strengthen the Bali community and inherit the tradition.
I was sincerly touched that Sawidji gallery's mission is to support local artists, to educate young artists and continued tradition from rapidily changing and commericalized Bali society.
I am sure I will definitly visit this gallery again in case of visiting Ubud next time and guaranty that visitors will experince genune Bali.

Sawidji gallery is a very nice and unique place. Enjoyed the tour from the owner and her explanation about her exhibition was very interesting and informative. Loved the small buildings within the compound. Reminded us of the place we grew up in. Best wishes to the team of artists and their journey
