Quite an interesting decor albeit austere dining room which seats only 20. Selection of omakase or a la carte. Went with latter option with selection of sashimi, tempura and hot cooked dishes. A selection of sake and wines however prices were very high. Nothing outstanding and all dishes were ok. Plating not up to standard as what we would expect in a fine dining japanese restaurant. The online booking experience was very poor and we almost gave up…looked like an outsourced booking platform that didn’t communicate with the restaurant so we were left wondering if our booking was successful. Turned up in person to check otherwise we would have given up. The service was fine however there were only our party of 4 and another couple there for the entire dinner service.

Sushi Hiro Bali, nestled in the heart of Kuta within the bustling Beachwalk shopping area, has quickly gained recognition as a prominent dining destination. During our third visit to this new restaurant, we once again experienced the culinary delights that have made it a standout in the local dining scene. While the food at Sushi Hero Bali is undoubtedly impressive, there are a few areas where they could improve to provide an even better dining experience.

The standout feature of Sushi Hiro Bali is undoubtedly its exceptional food. The sushi and sashimi here are expertly crafted, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The variety of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi on the menu cater to a wide range of tastes, and each dish is beautifully presented. The flavors are authentic, and it's evident that the chefs take pride in their craft.

However, despite the culinary excellence, there are some areas that require attention. During our visit, we encountered issues related to the availability of certain items. Most notably, basic beverages like mineral water were out of stock, which was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. Additionally, some fresh sashimi selections, including Hamachi and Ika, were unavailable, which left us disappointed as we were looking forward to trying these delicacies. Furthermore, the wake miso soup, a staple in Japanese cuisine, was also unavailable.

It appears that Sushi Hero Bali may be grappling with challenges in their kitchen and inventory management, especially considering the number of customers that flock to this popular eatery. This leads to occasional disappointments when certain items are unavailable. Given the restaurant's reputation and the expectations it sets with its excellent cuisine, it's crucial for them to address these issues promptly.

Despite these shortcomings, Sushi Hero Bali remains a top choice for sushi enthusiasts. The ambiance is vibrant, and the service is generally attentive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can offer recommendations based on your preferences.

Food was amazing, service was also good, the music and the vibe her is very relaxing 10/10 would reccomend

Best Japanese food in Bali by a mile! The best service by Mimi and the best food by chef kadek and queen chef. I cannot wait to come back here already. Anyone who walks Shiro past in Seminak, MUST GO TRY!

I had the misfortune of visiting this restaurant tonight and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The sushi was absolutely terrible, the fish was stale and the rolls were terribly made. The service was also unbelievably slow. It took ages for our food to arrive, and when it did, I was incredibly disappointed. The waitstaff was also incredibly unhelpful and didn't seem to care about our experience. I would absolutely never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I’ve been waiting for 1,2hrs gosh, is it that hard to make cali and Philly rolls. Ordered Edamame, brought me after I ate all sushi lol Thanks. Fish itself is good, but the service is trash. Too long, for that money

The food was good but some cuts of the nigiri sushi was chewy. Ambience was very zen and well designed.

Waited over an hour for tamago and miso soup… food is great but the wait is atrocious. Do not come here unless you have the patience of a monk. There is enough staff, they just spend as much time chatting as preparing food.

Nice interior but moderate food and weak service. In comparison with local Japanese restaurants this one is must visit. But in comparison with London, NY or Moscow’s it is still far from.

First time coming here, very nice interior design and cozy.
We were decided just to give it a try when we bumped into, seem we were the only customer that night.

We went for the omakase meal. Overall the price quantity ratio is fair and generous. Unfortunately, the "wagyu teriyaki" was tough, dry and unpleasant. Also the sushi rice is commercial grade rather than omakase grading. Small details that could change the experience to a 5 stars. You know a true sushi chef by the taste of his rice, and this one was just supermarket quality. The black cod was very tasty. Overall a good Japanese restaurant, should just call it a set menu, not an omakase.
