Sista Dumpling 喜食

Basic dumplings at ridiculous prices. Paid almost the same as the US in Bali for something that tasted average. Half the soup dumplings were cold and popped when you grabbed one. Waiter forgot to give us utensils too.

Got the cumin lamb beef noodles which had a good flavor. My complaint is that the dry pot was way too moist. The dry pot contained cucumbers and carrots and other moist veggies which made the dish too wet overall. It could use more tofu and even tofu skin.

The brunch deal is pretty nice. 88k for the brunch set. Nice view of the fields. Great way to start the day.

The best dumplings I have ever had. They were brilliant. Went back the next night!

Love this place! Great Dumplings and you have to try the Wagyu skewers:) Service and timing of the food was perfect since they didn’t serve everything at the same time and instead waited till I had finished for the next dish!

Really great dumplings. Possibly the best Xiao Long Bao on the island, with a good variety of said too.
Nice atmosphere and seating out the back overlooking a rice paddy.
All the food we tried was excellent and yummy drinks too.

This place is absolutely fabulous. Perfect little spot overlooking rice fields, chilled music and the dumplings are insane. The family combo is better suited for 3 people and the 2 of us couldn’t finish it!

Primarily serving variety of dumpling, normal, liquid dumpling and soup. Most like is pork xia long pao, siaw mai amd pork with chives dumpling. Vegan and laksa dumpling will not take a repeat order

My wife and I have been dining here for many years. It used to be our absolute favourite place in Bali for food. The service, food, and atmosphere were all on point.

Recently, however, things have taken a turn for the worse. The service has become rather poor and the food is very hit or miss.

I hope the owners are able to turn the staff around and return Sista Dumpling to one of the greatest places in Bali!

That being said, even with hit or miss food, it is still one of the better choices for Chinese food on the island. So it still earns four stars from me.

Kinda hot outside though but they have a huge fan so no worries.
The foods are very good!
Dumplings and the noodles is perfect, the noodles are different from other noodles.

Excellent dumplings, I ordered vegan combo (in the picture) and my friend had pork wonton soup, both were great!

Crispy dumpling set gives you four different kinds of crispy dumpling! If you like meat dumpling you should try this. Can’t tell which one is better. Mapo tofu was great too. It is bit spicy but I’m Korean so it doesn’t matter anyways. But! I would rather seat inside because various kinds of bug will attack you and your food. Don’t be seduced by green field view.seat inside.

One of those friendly places in Bali where you can be on a main road, then oblivious to the road sitting looking over a rice field eating amazing dumplings. All the dishes we tried were delish. You can see the dumplings being made too.

I wanted to leave a tip, but the waitress did not bring change! Deciding to keep it for myself. That's rude. Have a conversation with your employees

The food was delicious.

The dumplings taste good but cannot really beat other chinese restaurant in Bali. Good thing is they have pork here, so there's that. Note that it's more expensive than normal dumplings in any other Chinese restaurants because:
1. The resto is overlooking a beautiful ricefield
2. It's in Canggu

Last time I came was during the Chinese New Year, I already booked a table a few days before but they missed my booking. I was lucky to still get a table when I came.

Went for dine in at 31/01/23 at 20: 30PM.
4 of us got FOOD POISONING.
We were all vomiting within hours, had to go back and forth to the toilet, and we clearly got no sleep at all!

We couldn’t tell which dish got us poisoned but what we ordered were their:
- lobster prawn crystal
- chicken pepper shao mai
- sheng jian beef bao
- xlb crab prawn
- kimchi pan fried
- chicken shitake wonton
- chicken feet hongkong
- chicken prawn cheesy guo tie
And the four of us also added chili oil to our dish.

Should’ve read their reviews beforehand because there are other comments claiming they had similar experience with food poisoning after dining at Sista.
10/10 would not recommend.

Really liked the place.
The vibe, the staff, location etc.
Food was mainly a hit, noticeable exception was the roast pork bun (char siu bao) and the 2 types of hot pots that we tried.
Needed to ask a few times for the dipping sauces, a dumpling never arrived, and the hand-pulled noodles in the hotpot were ‘a big sticky mess’ as my HK gf put it.
Overall pleased and would go back (but would make a few order adjustments).

It is hard to find non-spicy food in Asia and I was hoping for this place.
Cute little restaurant with beautiful scenery facing a rice field and a typical Bali vibe.
Unfortunately we had a misunderstanding so my mouth was burning, but the gracious hosts treated me with the utmost respect and didn't want to let me leave without trying another one of their fantastic dishes together with a local artisan beer. They even refused to let me pay which made me feel very welcome.
Next time I will call before my arrival and see if it's possible to get something off menu. I love Xiao Long Bao, soup dumplings, but haven't found any non-spicy ones in Bali yet.

This restaurant was located near our villa during our 1 week stay. We’ve been back here and had takeaway several times now. The xiao long bao dumplings never ceases to amaze, and the hand pulled noodles was just as great.

Best dumplings I had since I was living in Shenzhen. The shrimps and lobster one is a delight!

There is a lot to choose from the menu, I have only tried the dumplings but I’d love to go back and try other dishes.

The place is cute and offers a little view on a rice field, so ask for a mosquito spray or be ready for a few bites. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great food, pork belly quesadilla, won ton, dumplings I like them all, also good drinks: different kind of fruit tea, bubble tea.

First time coming here last night and probably won't be coming here at all again. Came for the xlb because ngl it looks absolutely marvelous on their advertised pictures on social medias. However, I think my expectations was too high. I was fully aware that they use pork soup in almost all of their xlb, there's no ambiguity in that. I have no problem eating pork, but once I tasted the xlb I couldn't shake off the smell of pork. Mind you, it was not the nice kind of smell. My sister couldn't even swallowed a single xlb, due to the fact the smell was too overpowering. But the chicken and prawn cheesy dumpling was decent enough (sadly not pictured). The place has decent view of rice fields, but the customer service was below average quality, especially the cashier who asked for our critics only to present us with a sour face once we said we didn't really enjoy our dining experience here.

We had the savoury combo: great for 2 people, delicate food while fulfilling. Good prices too. Don't let yourself fool by the small look of the restaurant from the outside - it has a beautiful rice field in the back.

Pretty much paying for the ambience here. It's a nice play to sit, relax and enjoy the view. The music choice is good, I enjoyed the cricket orchestra and the sound of the wind as well. The food itself is overpriced in my wallet's opinion. Ordered dumplings and baos, tasted good but I don't think the price point is justified (maybe if it's 10-20k lower per menu). The staff are nice but we arrived an hour before closing, so they're rushing everything which is understandable. It's a place for social media.

My favorite Dumplings restaurant ever! Xiao Long Bao were excellent and will always be my number one?

Food is alright but severely understaffed. We waited for more than one our for our food. Price is very high for its quality of food and service:/

Soal rasa nothing special, sulit parkir mobil, tempatnya cozy sih sebenarnya, pelayanan ramah, tapi harganya bener2 tidak sesuai dgn rasanya, pricey utk makan 3 org cuma pesen dimsum 3 jenis dan mie satu porsi bayarnya 400rb, mgkin harga bule kali ya, tp serasa ga worth it dengan rasa dr makanannya, minumnya aja 70rban padahal rasanya sangat2 biasa aja, semoga next time bisalah di tingkatkan lagi soal rasa kalo mau tetap mempertahankan harga segitu.
