Totally different menu than 4 years ago. New owner. Few vegan/ veg/ GF options. Many meat dishes. Not an organic health food cafe anymore. Juice was good though. Friendly staff

Got sick from eating there, also they overpriced me by 30.000 witch the gojeck driver had to pay for: (

The food was absolutely amazing. The flavors and variety.wow.so many juices and elixers to choose from. My new favorite spot for sure.

Best food I had in Ubud! The menu is very creative, everything tastes great and the ambiance is very cool. I keep coming back!

We stumbled across this place trying to avoid the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre, it feels like a sanctuary with great food

Ate here I think 3 times and always impressed with the creative menu and flavours. Beautiful place to sit and relax, so many options and you feel the food is healthy and wholesome. Friendly staff and fairly priced

Great vegan treats. Golden Late is wonderful. Service is a bit slow but it’s Bali and it forces you to stop for a moment.

Lacking love, better places around.the food was somehow not really satisfying.no decoration and little nourishment.i ate what would normally fill me well and i still felt like going to my favourite place for some other snack.had a raw curry and a elixir.staff seemed rather exhausted and nit always attentive.their work atmosphere i found rather tensed.not planning on going again.

I’ve tried here some really good, raw chocolate, gluten free and super tasty sweets - absolutely amazing! It was strange to read afterwards some bad reviews here! I haven’t tried the main course, but anyway, the place looks very nice and the people serving are nice! I would give it a try!:)

The most cozy place in central Ubud. The community surrounding it (music, art, yoga) is wonderful. The philosophy is on point, the menu is interesting to read and gives the impression that every dish is something special you’d like to try.

BUT

It’s unfortunately the worst food I’ve ever tried. There’s endless ways of making amazing vegan food, but the food here is tasteless and has unpleasant consistencies. This place is a disgrace for veganism. I have no idea about how the non-vegan dishes are. The front area of the restaurant smells like a dirty public toilet for some reason. We ate here, left unfinished and unsatisfied, payed the bill and had to go somewhere else and pay for food again.

It’s sad, because this place has amazing atmosphere and so much potential.

Welcoming & relaxing atmosphere, carefully prepared delicious food, reasonable prices. We have returned to this place many times.

The ambience is good, organic cafe with a lot of green view. The staff were very friendly and nice, ordered coffee and it was ok, decided to order the lemongrass herbal tea and it came out as not what i expected, i have no idea if it was me who had no clue of herbal tea or it was them because it was like only hot water with lemongrass on it without anything else or tea as what i expected then the staff offered me honey and it was a bit better. Some of the organic ingredients were planted on their yard. The menu is very confusing as it doesn't have any pictures but full of small texts which hard to read, so took awhile to know which one to order.

I walked into this place without doing research on it and was pleasantly surprised. This place is the type that highlights the ingredients. The grilled fish was great.

To provide you a frame of my visit:
I was there in the evening as 1 person for a dinner.

- I waited more than 1 hour for a salad and „shiitake patties“ (actually, it was only one patty). The salad portion was ok, the main dish was too small relatively to price/portion ratio at other comparable locations in Ubud.
- Everything tasted quite good. But price and timing spoiled the experience.

All in all, I would not visit again.

I visited your restaurant this morning with high expectations. I am in Bali filming a travel video for a travel company.

I wanted to let you know that I visited Soma today and it was not a good experience. I would not visit again and in my Bali review I will be making other holiday makers aware of this.

Firstly, my daughter had a coconut and it tasted sour. We made the waitress aware of this and she simply said, 'It is fresh'. She did not offer to give my daughter a new one and no refund was suggested.

My other daughter ordered a cool down juice and it wasn't cold - so did not serve to cool her down.

My choc coconut milk drink was bland.

The food was very average at best.

Not a good experience.

If You are looking for fresh and organic food in Ubud, probably Your research is done here. Great place with perfect atmosphere, vital food & really outgoing owners. This is totally "must visit place" while You're in Ubud!

Served by the only grumpy person in Bali. Drinks arrived after food. Food cold. Sadly a bad choice in a town of plenty.

Visited Soma three times on our stay in Ubud. Cool and shady, especially in the pair of chairs near the fish pond. They do a very good hot latté, if that’s your thing. Pair that with a tasty chocolate chunk cookie and you have an ideal pit stop in the centre of Ubud.

Nice to stop for a drink but we didn't stay too long as the music though was inappropriate for the time of day.

OK, this is the first time I gave 4 stars to a restaurant. The place is fantastic, but I think they can make it better.
Pros: Really yummy food. Everything we ordered was delicious. A lot of vegan options, raw and healthy food. So the food was really perfect!
The interior also was amazing and interesting.
Cons: The things in Soma happen very slowly. We were there at about 2: 30 pm, and there were not so many people but the service was not really quick. Even the drinks came very slowly? !?
The prices are really high and you have to pay additional service fees which are added to your bill. It was something like 10% + 6% to the prices listed in the menu.
