Not a silversmith class.you choose jewellery and they help you make it. No instructions and no education provided. I didn't enjoy at all, the instructors constantly Said No time! No time.most of the time the instructors ignored us & I spent most of my 3 hours waiting only to be yelled at by the instructor at the end.it wasnt a pleasant experience and we felt like an inconvenience.if you want to learn I recommend checking elsewhere I will not be back to this class.

For all Aussie’s it worked out at $114 AUD for all 3 rings and stone, which is amazing price compared to back home! Would highly recommend, and staff were super lovely too!

There is not much you are allowed to do yourself. And information about what needs to happen and what to do when you ask could well become something more.

Here you can not only choose a finished product (decoration), but also create it with your own hands. Yes, yes, the store has a workshop where you can make your own ring from silver!

Love this store came back to visit before i left because i needed to bring the whole inventory back home with me! The jewelry is good quality, not perfect by any means but to me that reminds me of how it’s handmade and i love it.

It is not an actual smith class. You just pick a jewlery design and they help you make it. Since mine were quite simple and I didn't want to pay extra for getting more silver, I only staid for one hour. And I had to pay the same price. So it is worth it if you want to make complicated designs. Otherwise just go on your way.

A lovley afternoon activity! I did alone but would be also great with friends and family! So much freedom and potential of what you can make. There’s also a option to add stones at small extra cost. (I made the ring on the pointy finger)

For the activity, it was fun but note that this is not a course but a workshop. You practice but you don't learn. 500k for 5g of silver (20k per gram if you have more - you can do many jewels), 3 hours max (it depends on your work), 8 people max, 2 blacksmiths. You need to book in advance and you can pay by card.

By arriving there, you'll get a piece of paper in order to draw and then you'll have to choose the thickness of the metal and you'll start the fabrication: hammering+graving or cutting+shaping. You'll have some guidance and advice but no explanation nor techniques. Welding and soldering is done by the blacksmiths but you may do polishing as well.

All in all, we liked the experience even though it can be frustrating if someone is not good in artwork. The blacksmiths were very helpful and encouraging as well. If you decide to go, print or draw your jewel before (especially if you need to assemble little pieces to put it together) and ask to weigh before in order to anticipate. You may add some stones as well. You don't get any cords if you do pendants and no bag to offer as a gift unfortunately.

Took cursus here. Was REALLY chaotic. Owners were not in a good mood and we looked at each other and thought: what even is this place? After 20 minutes of Just doing something, they saw us and were helpfull. Its more a: Come inside and use our touls with basic help if needed, we will watch/drink tea/cough like a Corona patiënt. Had two rings made, nice souvenir.

We’ve just did the silver class yesterday at Studio Perak. The class costs 450K for which you get 3 hours and 5gr of silver. In the beginning, they ask you if you have any ideas, if not they have a bowl of rings you can look at as inspiration. Some of the girls in the class decided to make some earrings. We had a simple idea that we started working on. We had two teachers for a class of 8 so he came around every 5 minutes to see how we’re progressing and if we needed some support. You’re mainly in charge of the hammering and cutting out the pieces, he will do the melting part but asks you to pump the air for him. I guess it’s for safety reasons they don’t let you play with the fire. Once my ring was put together, he puts it in acid + water and you need to wait for it to settle. Then comes the polishing part with an iron brush and they also have a little room with two polishing machines. They show you how to use it so you can do it yourself. The teacher was very knowledgeable he has been making jewellery for 20 years so we also talked a bit about his life. At the end, if you have time and material left (you can buy more) he encourages you to make something else so my partner also made a medal for his necklace. I think 3 hours is probably too long, we spent there around 2h and all the others left before us. You will only need the 3h if you’re planning to do something very complicated. The place is air conditioned and they also have a shop so you can buy their jewellery. One of the things to improve would be to make an introduction in the beginning. When we arrived we were immediately sat down and got into action without knowing what all the tools for or what steps I will be taking. The place is also quite dirty and needs a good scrubbing but I guess if you’re in Bali you already got used to the conditions Overall, we had a nice experience and enjoyed making our own rings, they’re a bit wonky but that’s what makes them special and a long lasting memory from our trip to Bali.

The workshop is recommended! We did it with the 2 of us and Ketut helped us patiently forging our own ring and stone laced pendant. It was fun experiencing all steps from a flat silver strip until polished product we wear now.

Really glad that I made it to this workshop where I get a free run to create my own custom jewelry with Bli Ketut, who is super amazing and accommodating. He's really skillful in the craft and I was completely blown away by the result.

I highly recommend Studio Perak if you're looking to create your own handmade silver accessories. They have a collection of gemstones available for you to go with your jewelry. Make sure that you come with a design in mind. It's made it so much easier. I made a pair of earrings with sea glass and baroque pearl and a ring with green amethyst and gemstone.

Spent a rainy afternoon at Studio Perak and it was so much fun! Excellent price for a 3 hour hands on experience fully guided by a great teacher Ketut. Ended up with 3 beautiful pieces between two of us.

Affordable jewellery class in a relaxed environment. I was the only person in that particular class. I managed to make two pieces. I would definitely recommend.

The best quality Sterling silver jewellery in Bali! When ever I am in Bali, I come here to stock up:) also very fairly priced for the quality.

I did the silversmithing class here last week and it was.interesting. We were a class of three when we started but two of them left in disgust before the class even started! The teacher walked in and with no introduction or greeting demanded "Do you know what you want to make? ". One woman was an artist and had some ideas and some stones she had brought but the teacher immediately told her that she would not be able to make what she wanted. So she asked for a refund and left. The next woman wanted some information about what it would be possible for her to make and the the teacher tried to explain. When she didn't get it right away (English was not her first language, nor was it his) he got frustrated and snapped at her. So she also left. That left me alone. We didn't talk much and I was careful to choose a design that would be workable. I am happy with the two rings I made but it took a full hour for the teacher to ask my name and where I was from and he never apologised or acknowledged the very tense start to the class. The class was only medium-level hands on - silversmithing involves a lot of fire and the teacher had to do that while I pumped the bellows. I'm not sure I can recommend this class to anyone who does not have a thick skin and flexible designs.

Perfect place for yoga and zen symbols in jewelry form. You can find all sizes of pendants in a huge variety of options from small sizes for bracelets buds, to mid/large options wearing in necklaces.

The silver making class was a nice very interesting! The teacher acts like a guide: he will help you do the jewel you want to do -considering your level- and he will always be there if needed. In the end, you appreciate even more the work behind every jewels you might buy:).

Patiently waited for us to finish just two pendants and one ring.explained how everything works step by step and Ketut was also very professional!

Studio Perak is not worth the visit. Small and lack quality design jewelry. Chez Monique on same street only little better. GO SEE IOU on same street - MUST!

Overall this location in Ubud is NOT worth a visit. Go to Prapen in Celuk or John hardy In Mambal.

Ms. Made Hana teaches me kindly and well in the silver craft class. The tuition fee is 400000 rupees on a five-gram basis. It was a pleasant experience.
