If you want to do a surf course, then with Koyo! He is such a lovely and kind person and teacher. We had a lot of fun in the water. I couldn't have imagined anyone better! He even had a GoPro with him and makes videos of you. So: a hearty recommendation. Thank you Koyo!

Koyo is the man! He guided me and my 17yo son on two trips while we were in Bali. He found the perfect waves for our skill level and the smallest crowds possible in Bali.

He made us feel comfortable paddling into more challenging surf and we got some of the best waves or our lives.

Koyo is an excellent communicator, he's reliable, knows everyone and is a lot of fun to be around. If you want a personalised experience and to find the perfect spot for you at just the moment when the swell, tide and wind are on, then I couldn't recommend Koyo and his team more highly!

What I liked best about Koyo was his honesty. I always felt safe and could trust him, because from the beginning he was upfront and telling me when conditions weren’t good for surfing, or when we were better to drive to the other side of the island to get surfable waves during wet season. We would see other surf schools driving out knowing the conditions were very poor, because of the pressure from bigger companies to take clients out anyway, but Koyo would be honest and make sure when we did go out, it was enjoyable and worthwhile.

His coaching was so helpful, he helped me pick up skills to surf again after ten years and by day three had me on bigger waves. He is kind, patient, and upbeat.

Whether you’re a beginner or an advance surfer looking to find tune your skills, Koyo is your guy. Reasonable, Reliable and knowledgeable. Hit him up when you’re in Bali. Had a fantastic time! Had several 1 on 1 lessons with trips to some gorgeous beaches across the island. The private lessons are more expensive than what you can find walking along the beaches but these are definitely worth it. Koyo is super friendly and gave me great personal feedback while really going out of his way to find beaches with the ideal conditions, which is above and beyond what other teachers would do. I was able to feel significant improvement in me surfing by the end. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to actually learn how to surf while alos enjoying the beautiful beaches that the island has to offer.

We had a great time with Toyo. He has very good surfing and English skills. We recommend him if you want to surf also different spots, not only in Canggu. He organizes everything you need (transportation, boards etc.)

So nice to learn here to surfing! It’s not easy but Koyo is interesting, know a lot about surf, waves and all the “science and feeling” about surfing. Go without thinking two seconds, because this is the place to learn surfing in Bali.

Koyo is a very good teacher, he explained all steps and things we need to know.
He was always on time for picking us up and also helped us out with a surfing shirt for our son.
His staff guys (Edi, Rika and Wahyu) were also very good. They all had a cool, smooth way to help us finding the right waves.

We will always remember this experience and if we come back we definitely will surf with you guys again!

Definitely go surfing with Koyo and his team when you go to Bali. So much better than trying to get lessons at the main tourist beaches which are so crowded. They picked us up from our place and took us across the island specifically to find good uncrowded waves for learners, which meant going out on a little boat to a reef with great little waves which we could surf straight away with nice long rides. It was perfect and we just about had the whole break to ourselves. Koyo and Froggy are super friendly and heaps of fun. Felt like we were in very safe hands they really know what they are doing. Best value surf option in Bali I reckon. I will definitely surf with them again when I am back!

I wanted to take a surfing lesson - that seems to be what everyone else is doing in Bali - but didn’t know where to go. Then, I got to know about Koyo through someone and booked private lessons for two days, which was one of the best decisions I made on this holiday. Koyo knows what’s best for his students and takes really good care of them. He is passionate about what he is doing and such a dedicated instructor. On top of that, he is genuinely a nice person. It was such a pleasure to meet him and surf at the beach in his neighborhood which is quiet and peaceful.
