Smaller than expected but we found some great things in there. We bartered as the prices started very expensive but we got it down to a good price. It gets very hot so bring water.
One of the worst flee markets I have ever seen. They sell at crazy prices. Avoid at any cost if you'd be visiting the street shopping places around kuta / Ubud etc.
A huge variety of clothes and other stuff, there is something for everyone, located almost at the echo beach spot it's a very calm place to shop, you get almost all things over here thst you might need for your stay in Bali
A collection of stalls with much of the same merchandise you will find elsewhere in town. Prices higher in Seminyak than other places in Bali. Bargain! 1/4 to no more than 1/2 of asking is typical.
The prices were way too high and even trying to bargain with these folk was difficult, I put forth fair prices I'd seen elsewhere and they still wanted more - so was unable to make a deal.
This isn't a flea market either, it's a typical arts and clothing market.
If you don't mind paying extra for goods then this place may be for you but if you're looking for a good deal don't bother.
Less pressure in these markets than other locations. Have an idea of what you think something is worth and stick to it, but obviously consider they are trying to make a living. Be reasonable
If you don't have time to go to Ubud then this could be another option for you if you want to buy home decorations, souvenier, teaks and etc.in the area of Seminyak. Prices are though overpriced but you need to handle with them. It is just a very small market compare to ubud, whereas ubud offers a wide variety of products, more designs and options to choose.
Surprised to see the place not having people. I remember the place being packed many years ago. However the plus side is you don't crowd with the rest. Especially with the hot weather.
Tourist trap.prices are really high.if they ask 400 you just say 200 or even less.i am staying in Tegallalang for a month and the same products in flea market can be found in Tegallalang for less than half.also most products are the same.that you find in ubud or Tegallalang or mas markets.same crafts same silver works and same knitting and crochet.the last price on a seashell art was 120.000rp got it from Tegallalang for 17k.yes for 17k. 17.000rp
i understand that most of them are trying to make a living.but making a living is something and ripping me off is something else.
Although the 5th shop that sells table accessories and and Ratan trays has really good reasonable prices and owner is so nice.
Just go in and visit these three shops.the bag shop at the entrance (bit pricy though so you negotiate) and the 5th and the shop in the middle that sells beads and hats.
This is an expensive market. Go to ubud for shopping. Many of the shop owners here aren't for bargaining and aren't very friendly. Take your money and business elsewhere. We were disappointed we saved a majority of our shopping for here!
This flea market is located in kuta and is a great place to shop. We came here on the last day of our trip to buy souvenirs. They've got lot of stuff one can buy hand bags, clothes, fridge magnets, hats and what not. The only thing one needs to keep in mind is that bargain as much as you can. They start at a very high price so just reduce the price to 70% and see if they agree and they do sometimes! Anyways it's a must visit
Went for a quick look. Tees.dresses.sandals.cushion covers.shirts.stuff u can see outside of seminyak sq. There are restuarants near it. There is a shop at the start of the shophouse.not the flea market that sells nice snake skin clutch bags at 250k (small) to 350k (medium)
Some bargains to be had, be prepared to haggle.hard. Lots of fake designer brands, from gucci to North face. Bags, hats, t-shirts, shorts, ornaments.pretty much what you'd expect. Worth a wander round.
Waste of time visiting. It is just the usual junk you can buy anywhere at 3-10 x the normal price. Asked about a few item: Small metal ashtray 200k The hand held fans 100-250 k Sarong: 250k Unless you can be bothered haggling pretty hard then it is just a waste of energy. Overall the place is pretty depressing and disappointing. I can understand everyone needs to make a living and the place has the potential to be something great and instead the place is dead. If stalls just had a set reasonable price or their asking price wasn't so high then heaps of tourists would come, instead they are leaving after just a short visit.
Nice place in Seminyak to shop for local thing and for people who come for shopping. People do bargain here but the prices here a bit step and costly than the Ubud market. But is worth coming here also as it has few unique stuff Overall a it's a small fun to have a look around
Pay 1/3 to 1/4 the first asking price. It is a typical flea market with lots of variety and fun gifts to take home. It felt safe and they speak enough English to do business.
