The Restaurant at Tandjung Sari

Just don't go anywhere else, everything will be disappointing.

We were looking for a romantic beachside restaurant and based on T/A reviews the Restaurant at Tandjung Sari appeared to fit the bill. I'm not normally a big fan of at eating at hotel's restaurants but there are always exceptions.

Make sure when you make your booking that you ask for one of the beachside tables - apart from being in the sand, with unobstructed views of the surf and the stars above, they are well spaced apart (ensuring a degree of privacy) and just make you feel special.

The service was very attentive, even though you are separated from the main outdoor dining area. Rather than go for the bespoke four-course meal & wine, we opted to select a few dishes from the menu. In this case their signature Rijsttafel (IDR 535), which is a traditional Dutch colonial dish (a selection of servings of regional Indonesian delicacies - fish, prawn, beef, pork, chicken, eggs, vegetables and sambals). Before the main platter arrived, they served a traditional chicken soup (which was delicious). Every dish that came as a part of the Rijstaffel was delicious, really hard to pick a favourite, in fact the portions were more than sufficient for both of us. To top it off they then provided us with two deserts, the Dadar Unti (pandan crepes filled with jackfruit, coconut and palm sugar) and the Pisang Goreng (banana fritters with coconut ice-cream), I opted out of the Budur Ketan Hitam, as I am not a big fan of rice pudding or mango.

I wasn't a big fan of the various cocktails we ordered - I have had better elsewhere but the drinks didn't really matter - the location, the atmosphere, the food were what we had come for and we weren't disappointed in that regard.

Service was terrible. Four staff that just chatted and you had to get their attention multiple times. Iced latte was ready and sitting on counter while staff chatted. We waited over 40 mins for our order. Food presented well. But Taste awful. Bread with no butter, toast you couldn’t cut and very difficult to chew. Eggs like rubber. Cold. Bacon you couldn’t even bite it was so tough. Croissant was tough and hard to eat. Very expensive at a Total cost 350000. Not worth it.

One of the best meals we had in Bali. We got the duck, beef Rendang and crème brûlée. Everything was excellent. The ambience is really beautiful at night.
I’d recommend making a reservation and requesting a table by the water.

Love the space and interior, its traditional balinese with modern touch, beach front, comfy seats. The food is good, more flavourful than I expected for indonesian dishses at hotel restaurant.

Stopped by because of rain, nice ambiance, but food can be improved.

The portion was too small, and the taste was just okay. We ordered pizza margeritta (forgot to take the photo) and cumi goreng tepung.

Considering you pay the price for the attentive service and really nice decor.

We weren’t staying here but read reviews and decided to have dinner. We were happy we did! The surrounds and ambience are lovely - very warm, welcoming and intimate. And the menu was great - lots of choice even for us non meat eaters! Loved the snapper dish. Service was excellent and we really enjoyed our night.

Terrible customer treatment. My family and I ordered drinks from a restaurant located on the beach, but someone from the service forbade the waiter (the waiter was very nice) to provide us with a table with sunbeds (sick!) that they are only for hotel guests. (90% of sunbeds free) and for restaurant guests not any more! I do not recommend this place.

Great place for sunset. The hotel puts tables and chairs out on the beach, super relaxing vibe, hard not to enjoy. Also the fried-banana dessert was amazing! No complaints.

Food are good but not really great. However the ambiance is excellent. We really enjoy having our dinner outdoor overlooking the beach.

This whole place is amazing. The restaurant is right on the beach, and that's just the beginning. Very private little resort with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Not crazy opulent, just really nice all around. I hope I can come back and stay here! The restaurant itself is very good with great drink selections and fresh juices plus amazing food.

We booked the special romantic dinner last night for our anniversary. The table on the beach was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles. The service was excellent and the food was even better! We opted for the Indonesian set menu of 4 courses, the soup was the absolute highlight! Everything was perfect. Such a wonderful way to celebrate. Thoroughly recommend, 5 stars!

I didn't stay at the hotel, but just had breakfast at their restaurant. I've been here a couple times and there's something about the place that I really like. I can't pin point at one or two things but I just like the atmosphere and food was great as well.

Excellent dinners here. Ate on the beach once and again on their patio facing the beach. Excellent service Abd tasty food. I had two ginger beer based mocktails which were excellent. The fish is great and most amazing is their fruity meringue pavlova.

Great food and service eaten at a table right on the beach. The gardens of this hotel are also very nice.

Lush, tranquil, beachside setting with elegant service and very nice food. Beware squirrels dining on nuts in the branches above.

Udah ga tau brp kali kesini. Selalu jadi tempat favorit. Mau dtg sendiri atau ramean sm temen2 selalu menyenangkan. Paling enak Nasi Campur, tahu telor dan chai tea nya best!

We are staying at the resort which itself is beautifully located at the beach. The restaurant is right at the beach. The menu is good enough and the food is great!

How has this NOT been our fave Resto in Sanur during our entire tenure here!? ! So glad we finally came, as it has now taken that title - It is fabulous in every way! The brunch is just what we wanted. Great food, friendly professional service, classy, classic ambiance and the best stretch of picturesque Sanur beach fringed with windswept coconut palms that exists. They have done a great job at implementing new health and safety protocols as well with digital menu and impeccable level of higeine. We will be back soon!

Absolute best premium place in Sanur for dinner. You can’t get better Italian flavor/taste pasta than this in Bali. Ambience is probably one of the better I’ve experienced. It is more expensive than other places nearby, but still cheap compared to Europe. But don’t bother with the coconut mojito, it pretty but doesn’t taste much.

Food was delicious. Perhaps expensive if you're used to process on other parts of Indonesia, but portions were sizeable, atmosphere was great, and staff was fantastic.

Charming bar and restraunt on the beach that offers dinning in the evening on the sand with classic lamps under sweeping palm trees. You could be anywhere in the world. That classic Casablanca style. Food is traditional and very well considered and presented. This is a great location to sample local cuisine.

One of the best restaurant in Bali for us. All food what we ordered was extremely delicious, from appetizer to desserts and they do have very nice clocktailes as well. If you looking for nice restaurant in Sanur by the beach, you have to try this one. And you wouldn't be disappointed at all. Maybe you would like to come back again like we did:)

The best place for a chilled relaxed evening after visiting Bali. Amazing, quiet atmosphere after sunset. A bit pricey but attached to a very expensive hotel after all.
