The Village Cucina Italiana

We've been to this restaurant for so many years now and the food was good. But about two days ago, me and my family decided to go there for dinner. We ordered a salad, risotto, and pizza to go.

In the next morning, we started getting sick. I felt nauseous in the morning and started vomiting and felt very sharp cramps on my abdomen. Me and my family were bedridden the whole day and I thought it was a bad stomach ache. It got worse to the point where we go to the hospital.

The doctor said it might be due to the food (which resulted to food poisoning and dehydration from the amount of vomiting) and now we are on medications. We are trying to recover, I hope the staff will do something about this and no one gets sick.

Really good food we ate there 4 times in the trip and that says alot. And also I had the best cocktail in bali called " Basil Smash" sooo good

It's actually quite nice. The service is friendly. The food isn't great, but it tastes okay. However, it is relatively expensive. The atmosphere is quite nice, we've been there twice and each time someone played the piano live.

Upscale Italian, loved the wood fired quattro formaggi, and the nicest pinot grigio I've had in Bali. The antipasti was delicious and generous. We would come back.

A cozy and neat setting (a magnificent terrace = be careful, you have to book to dine there)
The service is attentive and pleasant.
The pizza dough is delicious and the toppings are generous.
The Volcano pizza is awesome even for big eaters!

Outstanding restaurant but everything I tried (tuna belly, gambroni, pizza) was incredibly bland! It was an absolute disappointment. The menu, the food, the presentation, the ambiance was top shelf! Everything was AMAZING but the absence of flavor or the use of ANY spices! How is that possible? I had to ask for some sambal for some actual flavor! THIS FOOD WAS B-O-R-I-N-G! A HUGE disappointment! Along with three glasses of wine my bill was 900,000 rpi and it was some of the most flavorless food I have EVER eaten!

This is another great restaurant that is worth trying in Sanur.

Kind personnel, tasty food and desserts, wide selection of wine. Live singer also very talented accompanied by great pianist. Reasonable prices.

We ate here for dinner last night and needless to say it wasn’t a disappointment. Upon entering the restaurant the atmosphere was lovely. Within the dining room was a grand piano and some really relaxing lounge music being performed live. Both pianist and singer contributed to our experience and were both an asset to the establishment, and should be commended highly. The food was excellent as was the dining experience. If you want a good quality Italian inspired meal then certainly go here!

I never got my pizza after 30 minutes of waiting. They had completely forgot, but there was only 2 tables in the whole restaurant.
Still had to pay for the service!

Actually looked a lot nicer then the pictures, thought it looked a bit formal, but once we got there they had a super nice outdoor area with comfortable lounge furnitures. Food was high quality, had the gnocchi and pizza from wood fired oven. Super delicious! Very friendly and attentive staff. Loved it!

Really good service (the staff are great) the food is extremely average. Pizza was ok, risotto milanese - NOT GOOD, desserts were mixed (tiramisu with Nutella good, pancakes - tasted a bit re-heated). This food + lassi and cup of tea was over 500 IDR, most expensive meal we’ve had in Sanur but probably the least worth it. Wouldn’t go back.

Perfect atmosphere and venue, impeccable service and excellent foot. Though, if they say it is a small salad, don't be fooled like we were ;)

For an upper class Italian restaurant, I'd have expected more flavor. Other than that, very good experience.

Outstanding! This place is really outstanding.
I think we ate here 4/5 times and all different things.the service is friendly and quick.the food is out of this world tastefull, and dont let me even get started on those juice! Heavenly.
When back in bali, we will go back here

Service was great! We also enjoyed the appetizer plate for two and the two pasta dishes (risotto and ravioli). Overall a 5 star meal BUT being a higher class restaurant, they should come with a fresh pepper grinder and/or a sprinkle of fresh parmesan cheese to offer with every meal, just for that extra classy service!

The Village has always been a favourite of our family. We love the style of the restaurant and their food quality is super good and always been consistently fantastic!

Great atmosphere and the choices of either sitting out on the spacious terrace or inside the beautiful air-conditioned dining room.

If you like great wine pairing with your foods you will also not be disappointed. They have an impressive wine list.

Was searching for a decent Italian restaurant nearby Sansur and The Village Cucina popped up. The raviloi dish was really outstanding, really good filling with ricotta cheese. Pizza crust has a great texture, desserts were good as well.

Staff are very friendly, they also have live music someone playing piano. Its one of the restaurant you need to go if you are in Sansur.

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing evening at The Village as we grazed through their menu. The experience started as we were seated in comfortable sofa style seated. The menu contains enticing photos of the wide range of meal choices. The meals we received looked identical to the photos! We started with an Antipasto platter for two, then enjoyed wood fired pizzas, we even made room for creme bruele accompanied by a delicious tea & coffee. The service was impeccable & friendly. We will definitely be returning to experience more of The Village's menu next time we visit Bali.

Have to say it's a really nice place. Cocktails where on point, the live music on the piano was really enjoyfull and the food was really well prepared. The only pointer I have is the underseasoning of the carpaccio (lack of salt) but then again I'm quite picky and a perfectionist when it comes to food. The salmon I had was cooked perfectly. Staff was very nice and gracefull. Overall I've had an exquisite experience here. Prices might be a bit steep for Balinese terms but for me I didn't regret a single penny spent. Would recommend.

Greeeeat Italian food and service! The welcome bread with the sauce is impressive! The seafood pasta and ham pizza are really good, which was typical thin pizza with aromatic cheese!
