It was educational and the employees were very driven, but what I found annoying about the batik course was that I was given a short time to make my own design and I therefore felt like I had to work in a very hurry, which is a shame! Because everything else was fine l.

We did the half day Batik class and can highly recommend it. Learnt lots about the plants used for the dye and had a wonderful time creating our own art work to take home. A lovely way to spend the morning

Full of beautiful tapestries and pillows.
We bought many objects here (4 pillows and a tapestry) and we wish we had took more, very special stuff.
Worth every penny spent

I was wandering the art market, saying that I wished more of the crafts there were actually handmade when I stumbled upon this gorgeous shop. It’s like a museum inside with incredibly beautiful textiles. The prices reflect what the women should actually be getting paid for their labor and craftsmanship. They also have an online shop. I loved seeing the handmade items and wish I had more time to spend there.

The store was well air conditioned. Items have high prices but this is understandable considering it's fair trade and of good quality. The lady who assisted me and my partner was very polite and understanding when we ultimately didn't purchase anything.

Place might be small but it has not just beautiful handicraft, naturally dyed cloth but some history and what they stand for. I love supporting local and this is a great place to find some nice items to bring home.

They are of good quality and although price is a bit steep but have a read on the process from start to end product on the wall of the lower level… THAT is what you are paying for. Traditional way of producing high quality local products… the process itself is long and labour intensive. Loved it and will visit again!

I absolutely loved the Batik fabric dye class offered by Threads Of Life. It was such a fascinating experience to learn about how fabrics are naturally dyed from such humble looking leaves. The creative part of the class was so relaxing and fulfilling. I loved the piece I created and using traditional tools and having everything come from nature. This was a really special experience.

Small but really interesting little museum. Has examples of various traditional textiles, some for sale. Free to look round the place.

Stopped in here today to peruse the textiles. There are some beautiful weaves and some very talented weavers keeping tradition alive. I’d hoped to find some cushion covers for our sofa but nothing quite worked for our decor. Instead I left with a beautiful silk scarf that was very well priced and one of a kind. Don’t miss this spot in Ubud

Most beautiful textiles, ethically made. Keeping the culture of different regions of Indonesia alive. Would have bought the whole shop if I could have, too many beautiful things!

Very high quality fair trade shop. Prices are much higher than what else you'll find in Bali, but you can tell the workers will be properly paid and there is a large sustainable effort. Keep it up!

Don’t make the mistake we did and think you’ll find similar quality at lower prices elsewhere. We explore most of Bali and couldn’t find anything as good (and clearly as ethical) as this.
