Lovely experience in this old colonial building which makes up for the traffic jam and hot weather.
Our waitress Yulia was wonderful. Thanks for the tips and great service!

The scenery is very good, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is also very good! The food is also good, there will be a band performance if you come at night, the waiters can communicate in English, and there are western and Indonesian food

We came thinking and read previous reviews. Very very disappointing honestly I don't think any celebrity was ever in here, all pics were not authentic at all, none of them were even in the restaurant. Pics of celebrities from all over the world fabricated into frames and put on the walls, not even autographed by any of them. I not were why the fame except for the fact it's been there for a long time and foreigners are coming to it. They have a very strict rule, you can't sit next windows without ordering drinks and food each individual by force. We told them ok to do and requested little ice however all drinks came with extra ice! They just don't listen! The chicken came very stiff and super fried where there is NO MEAT what so ever from the deep fry. Only the libester was descent however very Over priced for why they made. Nothing else comes with the plate.
Do not recommend!

Waktu itu datang kesana karena kakak lagi ajak pegawai2 outing jalan ke Fatahillah sama bokap juga ikutan.
Kakak sudah masuk duluan dan dapat meja, tapi pas saya dan papa sampai, mbak resepsionis nanya ke kita apakah sudah ada reservasi, dan jika sudah atas nama siapa. Kita kasi tau nama kakak kita yg sudah duduk diatas, dan hebatnya dia masih minta kita untuk telepon kakak saya supaya dia jemput kita di resepsionis.
Padahal ternyata kakak saya sudah titip ke mbak2 tsb bahwa akan ada 2 orang datang dengan atas nama kakak saya.

Ehmm.
Pas duduk dan pesan makanan mngkn karena penampilan atau apa, kurang disambut ramah.
Sepanjang kita makan berasa diperhatikan atau dilihatin sama pelayan2nya.
Beda banget pelayanan yg kita dapet sama meja sebelah yang semeja orang bule semua.anak bule mainan sampai lepas2 lukisan dekorasi, didiemin doank dan malah diajak bermain sambil belajar, diajarin sejarah sama mbak2 waiter nya.
Ini sih kita bingung banget tapi mencoba untuk menikmati makanannya aja.
Kita pesan nasi goreng, soto betawi dan salad. Rasanya oke, but still it had us thinking maybe this place is meant for bules only.
I don't know but i won't go back to this place except i'm with a bule friend or a bule boyfriend LOL cheers xx

It is a chilling place in old town. Great taste of foods and the interior design. I feel the sense of combination between vintage and modern

Interiornya bagus, banget, ala ala jaman kolonial. Ada banyak pajangan that reminds you to the old times, berasa di setting film jaman dahulu kala. 1st floor untuk smoking area, 2nd floor non smoking. Ditanyain apakah mau duduk deket jendela atau yg biasa aja, dan pilih by the window, Mbaknya dengan ramah bilang kalau weekend, by the window maksimal 1.5 jam. Cuma sempet pesen hakau dan es campur betawi karena sebenernya masih kenyang. Hakaunya enak banget, full udang yg gendut-gendut, sedangkan es campurnya biasa aja-bukan ga enak loh. Biasa. I expect more sih sebenernya, karena pas coba hakaunya dia enak banget, dan harga es campurnya 50k.

Place quite pricey, sebenernya. Tapi suasana, service, dan pemandangannya oke banget

Cafe ini menawarkan suasana tempo dulu, tidak penting harga makanan. Kalau agan2 sekedar butuh ngopi / makan karena lapar, ya jangan kesini xkxkxk.

The place is simply amazing. It shows old beauties combined with good food and friendly waitresses. A bit expensive but worth all the price.

Begitu masuk dan blm duduk tapi disambut dengan pelayannya yang bilang "ibu mau liat menunya dulu? " itu kedengerannya kayak "ibu bisa bayar makanan disini? "
Ga gitu juga kali cara ngelayanin tamu kucel. Makanan enak klo mandang tamu kayak gitu ya jadi

Klo bicara mengenai tempat dan rasa makanannya.ksh nilai 8. Tp harga tiap menunya huhuhu.bikin kantong nangis.

Thanks for helping us surprising our friend for her birthday and for the birthday cake! Their staffs also sang her birthday song and really surprise her with all the birthday commotion. What a treat! Thank you so much Batavia Cafe!

It's heritage n unique cafe, nice spot for photoghraphy.
The Gayo coffee is good, but it'll be better if you provide Gayo robusta too.
The food is recommended, even little bit pricy

Nice place for tourist. Food and drinks are not too expensive than I thought. Great interior is gonna make you take photo.

This is a complete and perfect throwback to the colonial past time. The high ceiling, french tall windows and Javanese furnitures, spiced by framed photographs of the 60s, really enhance the food experience. Sip your coffee, lookout of the window to the great yard! And the live music in the evening is a plus

This is the most recomended place to visit in Kota Tua.place's awesome, vintage, so many great decorations, amazing place for a photoshoot.truly an Instagram-able place.food's great even though the price is expensive for a student like me.there are so many menu options.the place are filled with so many vintage posters/paintings, even the toilet is full of em too!
I really recommend you to visit this place for a quick bite when you go to Kota Tua.just order 1 appetizer and iced tea, and you can snap all the photos you want.oh and also there's a live music on weekends, it starts around 12/1 pm GMT+7 (WIB) ends around 4 and will start again at 7.30 WIB.there is a bar on the first and the second floor.live music is on the first floor.once again, I fully recommend you to have a quick bite here.

The famous cafe in Jakarta, located at Kota Tua, one of the historical tourist attractions. The price is too expensive but they served good food and service. In the weekend it would be better to do reservation ahead, if you come on the spot without reservation first you may be in the waiting list.

The place is really unique and the service is good, the waiter know the menu well too. The food's looks delicious but actually the taste not that great. And it has a pretty average serving.

Kota Tua Jakarta, juga dikenal dengan sebutan Batavia Lama (Oud Batavia), adalah sebuah wilayah kecil di Jakarta, Indonesia. Wilayah khusus ini memiliki luas 1,3 kilometer persegi melintasi Jakarta Utara dan Jakarta Barat (Pinangsia, Taman Sari dan Roa Malaka).

Dijuluki "Permata Asia" dan "Ratu dari Timur" pada abad ke-16 oleh pelayar Eropa, Jakarta Lama dianggap sebagai pusat perdagangan untuk benua Asia karena lokasinya yang strategis dan sumber daya melimpah.

Gerbang Amsterdam (lokasinya berada dipertigaan Jalan Cengkeh, Jalan Tongkol dan Jalan Nelayan Timur. Dihancurkan untuk memperlebar akses jalan) dihancurkan pada tahun 1950an untuk penglebaran jalan.
Jalur Trem Batavia (Jalur ini pernah ada di kota Batavia, tetapi sekarang sudah ditimbun dengan aspal. Karena Presiden Soekarno menganggap Trem Batavia yang membuat macet)

Beberapa bangunan berada dalam kondisi mengenaskan kebanyakan akibat kepemilikan bangunan yang tidak jelas.
