Not so hidden gem but rather UNDERRATED PLACE

nyesel banget baru bisa kesini, they serve kinda healthy-homey japanese meal set
Ada salmon set, sukiyaki, nabe dll
Price wise quite good, 1 set range harga 70-180 dan udah dapet nasi, miso, chawanmushi (their chawanmushi is besst)

Nyobain salmon tonyu nabe and feel soo good, kuahnya soy milk based dan porsinya gedee

Overall menu selectionnya emang comfort food, good healthy balance and definitely will be my main priorities kalo mau dine in

REALLY PLUS POIN: no pork, no lard, no alcohol, no mirin and only use halal vinegar
GOOD JOB OOTOYA!

Pas datang tidak ada yang menyambut, bahkan saat memberikan menu staff nya tidak berkata apa2. Saat kami butuh sesuatu juga staff nya susah dicari, harus teriak2 dulu. Makanan nya banyak yang kurang asin. Padahal di outlet Ootoya lain yang pernah saya kunjungi tidak pernah seperti ini.

Not many items on the menu are available. It's a half-hearted feeling because it's often sold out or out of stock. This shouldn't happen if you're in business, but it happens frequently.
There are also good things, if you have rice, it's pretty good, and the tea is strong and delicious.

Just came here recently on Saturday, unfortunately food choice was extremely limited, no yakko, no any form of sashimis, limited dessert, they are practically running out of ingredients now. Hopefully they’ll be able to survive the long run.

Food 3/5: so many n/a almost more than 50% of their menu is n/a like wth. The food is great though, o ordered my favorite non-sushi menu the chicken basil. Actually all ootoya menu is great and healthy

Atmosphere 4/5: I always loved the relatively silent atmosphere of Ootoya, it is reserved, not too loud, and it’s pleasant here to have dinner with family or by yourself. Couple of empty corner or boxed table so you can have your own private corner.

Service 4/5: great service as always, fast, high quality

Facility 4/5: the basic amenities for family like baby chair is available

Covid19 4/5: you are given menu now. The utensils are plastic-sealed, and you got your own sanitizer for each table. Some people question this free sanitizer, I don’t mind actually

Ke sini kemaren buat pertama kalinya buat buka puasa, the food is just bland. Ga ada rasa, for the price yg ga murah, so not worth it.
Kirain aku aja, ternyata temen aku yg lain juga ngerasa hal yg sama.
Katanya sebelum pandemi enak, tapi setelah itu rasa makanannya ga karuan. Please improve.

Restoran yang terletak di lantai Upper ground star of avenue lippo Mall kemang, dengan suasana ala resto Jepang bisa makan indoor atau outdoor, chicken teriyaki dan Donburi rice nya enak dijamin ketagihan

Tempatnya tenang. Makanannya enak. Makanan dengan set cukup mengenyangkan. Sehat. Minuman ocha (free refill) paling enak dari semua restoran Jepang adalah ootoya. Rata rata biaya makan per orang adalah 100rb dengan tax.

Food was so-so, the room was not well air-conditioned, and the staff were mostly disinterested. If I had to pick one good thing, it would the ice creams.

It is a simple Japanese dish. The taste is authentic Japanese. It is a bit small portion for the price.

Small n clean place. I forgot the name of the dishes, but it was a good choice delicious set dinner. The matcha mochi with strawberry n vanila ice cream was a weird taste for me. High price.

The authentic Japanese diner without too many crowd. I order salmon sashimi and caviar sushi while my mom tried grilled Saba (mackerel in Japanese words). I love the tofu salad, it's very tasty and like this place has the best hot ocha (Japanese green tea) in town. Although this diner is a little more pricey but the food is good.

Not enough menu for a Japanese restaurant, price is on the higher end, not enough air conditioned, space is limited but the taste is okay.

Selalu suka aneka salad dan steamed veggiesnya disini. Sashimi juga fresh, mochi ice cream dessertnya yummy, aneka rice setnya juga enak. Salmon headnya juga OK.

Almost feel like home cooked Japanese meals. Simple but satisfying and something you can eat every day and not get tired of. Saba set meal and also grilled salmon set meal will make almost everyone happy.

When I miss Japan and its food, I always go to Ootoya, either at Lippo Mall Kemang or at Lotte Shopping Avenue. The taste is authentic. It’s weird if anyone comparing Ootoya with Sushi Tei -a totally mediocre (and not so good) sushi restaurant. ふふふ！
