Kami sudah beberapa kali makan di tempat ini untuk hanya sekedar berkumpul keluarga atau biasanya merayakan ulang tahun salah satu anggota keluarga di tempat ini.

THE institution of Japanese Teppanyaki in Jakarta that’s been around since 1976! Can’t go wrong with any choices when dining here.

One of the best Teppanyaki in Jakarta. Set menu from starters to main course, such as salad, miso soup, assorted tempura, mushroom/vegetables, sirloin or tenderloin beef, fish, lobster, fried rice with egg. All are satisfying.

Just got a good exprience for the first time i ate at shima. Good food with a good chef named aziz, very cozy and private to have quality time with friends family or anything else. Will be back ️

I have a childhood memory of my first teppanyaki dining with my parents in Singapore. They hold my hands and swung me while we were walking to the restaurant after meeting my dad's business partners.

I couldn't say teppanyaki yet, so I called it "sang seng song" (it was the sound of the metal cooking tools lol). I was very impressed with the cooking style that I had never seen before, I think we don't have it yet at our home town back then.

So when my dad said he wanted to have a teppanyaki dinner, it surely brought some nostalgic moment.

The name of the restaurant is the same like the one we had in Spore, but I don't know wether the two actually related or not lol. Our chef has been working there for more than 25 years, impressive right?

They have several type of sets, consist of beef (different types like kobe wagyu, us wagyu, sirloin, etc), Fish mostly salmon, Lobster, Oyster, etc. Depends on the set that you choose. The set will come with chawan mushi, vegetables, baked tofu and mushrooms, fried rice, and banana flambee.

Taste was great of course, since you eat them freshly cooked in front of you with very minimal spices to keep the original taste of each ingridients.

Place was nice, private in rooms and quite calm. Service was okay, well some of the waitresses will lead you to order the most expensive set lol, but it is a minor problem. Price was quite high, however, remembering that it was placed in a fine hotel, freshly cooked by skillful chef, put some entertainment for you and family, and using quality ingridients, I wouldn't say it was expensive tho. Besides, you can always choose your own menu according to your budget.

The banana flambee was an amazing show lol. I put the short video here. Such a sweet way to close the dining experience.

Overall, we had a great night and love the food as well. A good place to celebrate something special.

This is one of my favorite Teppanyaki place in Jakarta. Yes both the hotel and restaurant are somewhat aged, but the consistency and raw materials used make this one of the best.

Wow, I’m not sure if the food is good because we left before the mains were served. For a relatively pricey Japanese restaurant this is disgusting. The grill plate wasn’t cleaned, we had a cockroach under our plate. Don’t go

Legendary Teppanyaki place in Jakarta. But it seems the quality has gone down a bit. Plus it's very pricey. Once in a while ok lah to go

They have delicious food and great place to fine dining. You will get one chef for one table and teppanyaki style. You need to serve budget about 1 million idr per person

The food was good but portion sizes were very small and the restaurant is severely understaffed which made overall service very slow. It took them over an hour for the teppanyaki chef to begin cooking our orders as he was busy at another station.

One of the best Japanese authentic cuisine with the chef cook in front of you and their teppanyaki was delicious, would be glad to come back here again during holiday to Jakarta
