Ijen Resort and Villas - The Hidden Paradise

We spent one in the resort. Such an amazing place. Vegetation and gardens are just amazing. The pool with the view on the terrace field is incredible. Rooms are nice with beautiful views as well. The breakfast is good (even if we would have preferred a fresh marmelade). Employees are nice, kind and helpful. The resort is one hour from the Kawa ijen (by scooter).

Located near the Ijen volcano, it is an excellent base for visiting it. Immersed in the heart of nature, on a small plateau surrounded by rice fields and tropical plants. Clean rooms, friendly and welcoming staff. Being surrounded by vegetation, it can be easy to come across insects such as spiders or ants. Sometimes, some friend might try to visit you in the room. The only note to note concerns the food: the restaurant offers a menu with a fairly limited range of products, if you were to stay for a few days, the choice of food could start to be limited and consequently "boring" the palates of the diners.
If you accept these small compromises compared to European standards, you will be able to appreciate a beautiful location. Recommended if you want to breathe the Indonesian essence and relaxation.

Ps: being a Muslim area, you will often hear the songs of the muezzins echoing in the valley and sometimes reaching your room.

Tranquil resort in the middle of ricefields! Nice location away from the main street and the village. We arrived late in the evening but chekin process was smooth, giving our way to the room quickly. The room for us, Deluxe Villa, was well equipped and we got a balcony facing the ricefields; just perfect. It was raining when we arrived and only stopped when we were checking out the next day. Turned out it wasn't a bad thing: in the morning, unexpectedly the rains somehow added mystical ambience to the resort. I found myself gazing towards the greenery surrounding the restaurant as I was enjoying my quick breakfast, feeling at home.
With what we've got, I'm very much happy choosing this resort.

Recommendation! Fascinatingly beautiful, wonderfully quiet complex, in the middle of rice fields and palm trees, with a view of the volcanoes; Pool area also remarkably beautiful; beautiful bungalow with a semi-open bathroom and terrace overlooking the fields, volcanoes and palm trees. Very clean; Staff very friendly; Breakfast OK. Guide Scigi (?) was appointed by the hotel for the tour on the Ijen, he was the perfect guide.

Remote resort between the rice fields and the forest, at the foot of the Ijen volcano which proved to be far beyond our expectations. In addition to the magnificent location, you will find excellent hospitality and welcome, accompanied by a refined cuisine.
Perfect location to disconnect from the frenetic life and enjoy the rhythms of nature and the local population.

Hal terbaik tentang tempat ini adalah pemandangannya. Masya Allah, indah. Gunung Ijen terlihat gagah dan hamparan sawah betul² menyejukkan mata. Sayang, ketika sunrise, langit agak mendung.

Kami datang pada malam hari, beberapa kilo sebelum lokasi, jalannya lumayan kasar dan bumpy. Jadi sebaiknya hati².

Kamarnya bersih, kamar mandinya luas.
Pelayanannya cepat dan cekatan. Sarapannya enak, dan ada additional charge untuk anak (karena per kamar dihitung dua).

Beautiful hotel surrounded by incredibly beautiful rice fields. Overall a 10/10, truly a gem. The room was in tip-top order, personal super friendly, swimming pool & garden beautiful, also good food in the restaurant & breakfast was also very tasty. Recommended!

The setting is magnificent. But the hotel itself is disappointing. Old-fashioned "colonial" cold atmosphere, no air conditioning and therefore very unpleasant humidity. We were cold. Furniture and decor have lived. The icing on the cake: no soundproofing of the rooms. We hear the neighbors and the loud call to prayer via loudspeakers from 4 a.m. To 5 a.m. (In addition to the 4 other times during the day). Drinks very expensive compared to other establishments on our tour (Bali). Sparse restaurant menu (many products missing).
Very disappointed with the photos on the site.

The hotel, the area and especially the pool with the view is very good. Only the noise of the mosque several times a day is a bit annoying.

The room is okay, view is beautiful. But the staff can be more hospitable and helpful. It was 2 days of heavy rain when we stayed at this place. Our room was flooded with water, some of our belongings are wet but the staff and manager were not offering compensations.

Tidak sebanding kualitas pelayanannya dengan harganya juuuuaauh. Hotel melati aja masih lebih baik. Padahal lokasinya patut diapresiasi. Mohon manajemen hrd nya recruit good staft.

The staffs are polite and helpful.
The food was so tasty. I love Ayam Kesruk.
They also provide tour package.let's stroll around Banyuwangi.

Kalau malam hari tdk tahu hrs berbuat apa, senyap, tdk ada acara, benar2 hanya bisa dikamar

Nice view, tetapi siap2 ketemu:
- cicak & tokek
- berbagai macam laba-laba
- kodok
- tikus
di dalam kamar.

Tempatnya enak bgt buat santai, suasana menyatu sengan alam, tp kamar masih bnyk serangga mungkin krn letaknya yg berada d dalam tp over all oke banget, breakfast jg lumayan cm pas mo pesen extra bed ga ada mungkin lg rame, tp kamar termasuk luas seblm masuk ke ijen resort boleh coba cari warung kedokan worthed bgt buat d coba makan enak harga jg bersahabat

Hi to all the lovely tourists! Ijen is just not the place for vacation, it calms your body and mind. So much flora all around

If you are little Adventurous do ride the car on this amazing mountain. Yes, post 4: 00pm there is no visilibilty. Be cautious! Rain can come anytime!

Excellent service. A place to get away and relax. A fantastic village next to the hotel with friendly people. Great food and an incredible sense of tranquility

Positive: Nice landscape, the view on rice lands is beautiful. The team is nice.
Negative: the hotel is a bit old (especially the rooms), the food is ok but not great (especially the breakfast), massages are ok but could be better (good massage skill but the place is not very nice nor nice). Additional services compulsory to move out of the hotel are very expansive: 1,200,000 idr to visit Ijen volcano and 2,000,000 idr to go from Banyuwangi harbor to semyniak in Bali (ferry + taxi).

Need more variety of menu in restaurant. The room is quite old, but surrounding the hotel is green and peaceful.

Konsep, penataan, pelayanan, dan lokasi hotel sangat bagus untuk yg cari suasana penginapan di desa lereng gunung yg asri.

Yang menantang adalah jalan menuju lokasi hotel, jalan paving yg lumayan terjal. Seseorang tidak akan menyangka ada hotel bintang 3. Memang layak disebut "hidden paradise".

-Tempat dan suasananya cocok untuk menikmati bulan madu bersama istri / acara bersama keluarga
-Pelayanannya bagus dan ramah
-Rumah makannya menyediakan manu yang bervariasi dan lumayan rasanya

Really cool place and it’s so full of nature. But there is nothing around. No stores no nothing you are trapped. Just get out of the village by car is 15 mins. You are a high altitude so you may get sick like me. The pool sucks, they don’t clean it.no chlorine either. Room service was great. Beware of bugs. They are loud all night and one night these dragon flies flew under the crack of the door about 20 at a time because they are attracted to light. So scary.

Incredible beautiful place.
Very recommend for all people who will be in that area of Java.

Tempatnya nyaman dekat dg alam, fasilitas kolam renang dekat sawah mirip di ubud, tp sayang banyak binatang kecil2 masuk ke kamar

Very pleasant place to stay.hidden place so we are 3 times loss to find a way there.
You have to keep contact with receptionist and ask for direction to local people near place. So, please not shy to ask direction.minusnya, no cable tv. The bed is very noisy.i ask for 2 large bed via traveloka, they gave me 1 room with twib bed and 1 room with large bed.food is delicious although a lil bit expensive. But the scenery is awesome

Tempat yg sgt tenang, quite secluded and serene.
Satu hal yg patut ditingkatkan, breakfast menu yg tidak variatif dan menunya bener2 minim utk ukuran hotel/resort dgn harga sekian. Mohon bisa ditingkatkan dr pihak manajemen

Good place with fresh air and nice mountain and forest view. The place is quite remote (1hr from Banyuwangi city) so be prepare of cash, medicines, etc. And brace for intermittent internet signal (sometimes fast, but mostly slow internet and wifi).

Price is bit expensive for what you get. No aircon, exhaust in toilet is noisy (broken i guess?), and since this place located in the middle of the real forest, there are lot of insects (for this even they already mention it in a card inside the room). And i don't know if this because of the bugs or what (I have stayed in many places and been in worst places to sleep) but, here i feel itchy cause there's a lot of bed bugs.

But it's good place to stay actually, just try it.

Sangat sangat luar biasa, mata bner2 dimanjakan dsini, pelayanan ramah dan memuaskan, dari baru masuk lgsung disambut welcome drink, liburan bersama sahabat jadi sangat2 berkesan, ditambah lagi kolam renang yg indah dengan view persawahan dan gunung, fasilitas kamar jg memuaskan dan bersih, pokonya rekomen bgt.

Theres no taxi or online taxi, dirty swimmingpool, no wifi at room only in balcony and restaurant, no cable tv, nice and helpfull staff, amazing view and ambience.g

Very recommended, bagi yang ingin mencari pengalaman menginap atau sekedar berlibur dengan suasana yang sangat tenang, nyaman ditemani dengan pemandangan yang masih alami dan bersih, lokasinya cukup terpencil jauh dari pusat kota serta akses menuju kesana bisa dibilang sulit karena jalannya sempit dan sebagian belum diaspal terlebih saat musim hujan jalanan berbatu menjadi lebih licin, tapi justru ini menjadikan sensasi tersendiri seperti ada tantangan yang harus ditaklukan untuk mencapai tujuan yang indah. Disini mereka juga menyediakan restoran dan kolam renang untuk selain tamu hotel, untuk bisa memakai kolam renang pengunjung harus order makanan di restoran itupun ketika hotel sedang sepi tetapi ketika hotel sedang ramai mereka biasanya tidak mengijinkan selain tamu hotel untuk menggunakan kolam renang melainkan hanya restoran saja, jadi saran saya lebih baik telepon dulu sebelum kesana, selain itu harga makanan dan minuman termasuk tidak mahal sebanding dengan rasanya yang enak dan pemandangan yang disuguhkan, dijamin tidak akan kecewa datang kesini dan pasti selalu ingin kembali.

View to die for! Ijen Resort is located at the end of a very windy and challenging road around the caldera, but the drive is worth it. The property is beautiful, set amongst terraced rice fields, it looks like something out of Avatar. Amazing restaurant with a small menu but excellent food. Pool is cold with a panoramic view of 5 volcanoes on clear days. I would love to give 5 stars, but with humidity levels soaring here, it really needs aircon in the rooms to complete the great experience. Would definitely come back - highly recommended as a great rest stop before exploring Ijen crater. Give yourself at least 2 nights to fully unwind and appreciate this lovely property. Top tip: Go for the very best rooms at the front of the property which overlook the rice terraces - we'll worth the price!

Puas banget liburan di hotel ini, sangat cocok untuk mengihalangkan penat krna suasanya sejuk dan sangat tenang jauh dari kebisingan, benar2 dekat dengan alam, pemandangannya luar biasa bagus bgt.
