I had the pleasure of engaging Umi Nurlina during my company's team building event, to have our seafood lunch at her restaurant. Our driver reminded us to call Umi so that she can cook the food before we arrive. So that we don't have to wait long to eat.
Umi is very patient and prepares her food well. 1 word to describe, the food is delicious. We got the 15pax package for IDR 1,000,000, even though we are a group of 10 managers, and the spread were well worth it.
Food was prepared into 2 sets and when served was placed under a food cover.
Just take note that the mineral waters placed on the tables are chargeable, but it is affordable.
Her team of staff, I think they are family members are very nice, pleasant and smiley group.
Location is below a bridge, on a riverside stilt restaurant. They are apparently expanding and is building more seating spaces. Location is quite quiet and peaceful, away from main crowds.
Same as other kelong-style seafood restaurants, there are bound to be some flies flying around. But at least this restaurant is not the worst as compared to others out there. Do take the time to give this restaurant a chance if you drop by Tanjong Pinang for your seafood indulgence. Highly recommend to visit!?
