Nice chilli crab it been more than 6 years since I last visited here. The food taste still the same but I think the place get a bit smaller and more quieter as compared to 6 years ago.
Overall nice experience will definitely visit again and recommend to my friends.
Cozy place but the food is overpriced and poor. Not worth the 600k spent and they will charge extra for usage of credit card. Typical style of "halal" Malay seafood.
Mohon maaf ni ya pegawai sei enam ya saya paham ini motor baru, takut jg kena panas kan. Ruko sebelah kosong jg yaudah gpp parkir di teras ruko. Tapi ga nutup jalan jg lah ya. Tp mungkin aku yg terlalu katrok kali ya mungkin ini hal yg wajar kali ya.
The best seafood restaurant in Batam. For tourists please come here to enjoy the best chili.the drinks also very good. I like the avocados and soursop juice very pure and thick
Not bad, food is tasty and fresh, location beside main road, price wise is affordable for tourist/Singaporean. Ordered seienam saus chilli crab, sotong bawang, salted egg chicken, chilli prawn, kang kong, gong gong and 2 drinks, total around 600000 rupiah, $53sgd.
Chillicrab and black pepper crab were flavorful and saucy which went well with fried buns though the size of chillicrab were small (300-400g) and pincers also quite small and a bit tough on the meat.
Cereal prawn were fresh though not really coated much with the cereal flakes.
Service staff had difficulty in understanding our questions hence have to rely on the supervisor whenever we need anything.
The place were empty on weekday nights.
Overall recommended to try out their crab and crayfish.
Very delicious food. Chilli crab was great! Order a couple of fried mantous (buns) to soak up the sauce. Sambal kangkong and fried squid in tamarind sauce was tasty. Steamed fish in teochew style was a tad over cooked. Excellent service. Spent S$83 for 2 pax on a crab, a steamed fish, an order of vege, squid, 2 mantous, 1 plate of rice and a glass of fruit juice.
After many disappointing “seafood restaurant” experience, we went to try this. Beside the price, the quality of the food was superb, the staff got one of our wrong but rectify upon telling them, one of the dishes that we order didn’t turn up but we are glad to let it go as we order too much for 2 adults and one kid.
Damage - 2 x crab at 0.5kg each, 1 x veggie, 1 x omelette, 1 x prawn, 1 x gong gong, 2 x mantou, 1 x rice and drinks = 750000
I rarely write review, but to those that don’t mind spent abit on quality food, this is so far the best we came across, staff is extremely friendly, place is clean, food is good and best part is they allow gojek or grab booking unlike some restaurants that do not allow that.
I tipped two of the staff after paying for the meal. Well, i think for most, we don’t mind paying more for quality. Will definitely come back next time we are in batam
Good food. The spicy chilli prawn could have been more spicier and the fried seafood noodles was a tad too salty. The kendondong drink is a must have! Friendly staff.
Masakan seafood yang bervariasi dari, udang, ikan, kepiting, lobster hingga cumi dan kerang bisa di jumpai tentu dengan mencoba teh china yang rasa top deh Jl. Engku Putri no. 4-6 Jam oprasional
Sei Enam has a rating significantly higher than any other seafood restaurant in Batam. Visitors rave about the quality and taste on their food and then feel compelled to write about in the many fantastic reviews that they have.
Located close to the Batam Center ferry terminal this is a must for people seeking delicious seafood.
You must try Sei Enam dish upon your visit to Batam. And you could order Ketam (Crab) Saus Sei Enam, Ayam Goreng Bawang and Sotong (calamari) for your lunch, and feel amazing taste.
Super value for money. Great taste for most of the stuff, you can't go wrong with your orders. We ordered like 8 dishes ranging from beancurd, cereal prawn, soup, chilli crab, veg.worth coming down for your trip to Batam. Come try.
A very excellent seafood experience. A short one hour ferry ride from Singapore will get you there. We came for the Singapore chili crab as well as the black pepper crab and boy they did not disappoint. Both were delicious. The Singapore chili crab sauce was amazing especially when you dunk the fried bread (man tou) into it. The man tou was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside which was perfect for soaking up the sauce. It is very addictive and you can go through about 10 of them easily. The crab was fantastic. The meat was sweet and firm. One bite and you can taste how fresh it is. If you love Singaporean chili crab then you have to give this place a try when you get to Batam. Now for the black pepper crab. This is a dried fried style without the sauciness of the Singaporean style. The crab is laced with black pepper which hits you right away. It is spicy peppery goodness that you will not forget. The spiciness of the pepper works really well with the sweetness of the crab meat. If you like things spicy then this one's for you. Although both were amazing personally I loved the Singaporean style because I can soak all the sauce up with the man tou.
I was told Batam is known for its seafood. From what I have experienced at Sei Enam they are not wrong. This place has great ambience, a large selection of seafood dishes and killer Singaporean and black pepper crab that would give the top Singaporean restaurants a run for their money. If you are ever in Singapore, take that ferry ride to Batam and try this place out.
