We were introduced to this kelong for seafood by our driver whom we have engaged to drive us for a kelong experience. We saw many tour mini vans upon our arrival and thought this is it! Popular and food should be nice. It was super low tide ams the place looked nothing like a kelong. But the breeze was great. We took a walk to the live section where we can choose the seafood that we want. It was so sad and empty. Much to our disappointment. When we asked for prawns, they said they have frozen ones. Who eats frozen prawns at a kelong. As we were all starving, we pretty much ordered what we could and available. The dishes were well cooked and we reordered a couple of vegetable dishes. The claypot tofu is a tricky one. It came in a soup style claypot tofu, like sharksfin soup. Not to bad actually. Fish was fresh but the crabs was also a disappointment. Not much flesh. As we were a table of 12, we had to put our drink on the next table. And they cleared all our fresh coconut without asking. We only had a few sips then. There were even more tour groups walking in after when we were leaving. I wonder what is left for them.

Lovely placw with live seafood and rustic ambience of kampung style. The food is amazing here too.

Menu variatif, pelayanan cepat (ini yg paling cepat dari seafood2 lainnya di Bintan dan Tj pinang), worth to pay.

Nice food and location. I didn't like the fact that the menu was without prices and the bill has been over charged because we were foreigns. It is a Common practise in Indonesia to charge more the tourists. I can even understand it but the problem for me is when you work in the place, we were with our Indonesians colleagues, so we live and pay the taxes in Indonesia but even though they can't/don't want understand the different.
By the way our Indonesian colleague manage to take back 850.000 IDR from the bill. Just to make you understand one dish of fish (whole fish) has been charged 500.000 IDR, I mean I think this is a price that you can find in Singapore and even in Singapore I saw prices around 250.000 IDR to eat a whole fish. I mean tourists it doesn't mean Idiots plus if you want overcharge make it in a smart way just put service charge % ect.
