Aprill Trekking

We booked 3D/2N trip with them. Everything was perfectly organized (transport, accommodation, trek.).
The price is also very fair or even cheap, if you consider how well everything is organised, how hardworking are porters, how good can guides speak english. Also the tent and sleeping bags were really warm, which was important during the cold nights and also food on the trek was great! Also the guide gave us snack all the time and there was also planty of water for everybody. This trek was one of my best experiences ever. Thanks again.

My partner and I had a great experience with Aprill Trekking! We booked the 2D1N trek to the Rinjani Crater Rim with their homestay -Tiu Kelep Homestay and everything was so well organised.
From the moment we arrived Burna made us feel so welcome and Yacub showed us round some local spots to see some rice terraces and a lovely sunset!
The trek itself was amazing! Our guide was super friendly and had plenty of water and snacks for us for the duration of the trek. And thank you to the porters too for preparing such delicious fresh meals for us for lunch, dinner and breakfast each day, and catering for our vegetarian requirements. Our camp was set up perfectly for our arrival - we had everything we needed and more!
Upon returning to Tiu Kelep Homestay after the trek, Yacub took us to explore the nearby waterfalls which was great fun before enjoying a delicious dinner at the homestay.
We are so glad we spent our time in Senaru with Tiu Kelep Homestay and went with Aprill Trekking for our trek. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a trek on Rinjani or stay in Senaru - it is well worth a visit and an experience I will never forget!

It was difficult treck and Andy could accommodate me to stay at the first basecamp after the summit because I was too tired to go to seranu crater rim.

Aprill Trekking provided an amazing experience throughout, right from the guesthouse all the way to the summit of Mount Rinjan. The guesthouse was cozy and warm, with a beautiful garden. The 3D2N trek up Rinjani was carefully planned with the most accommodating and patient guides & porters. I am very thankful to Aprill Trekking for making my stay in Lombok a truly memorable one!

The owner Buana runs a homestay. I contacted him before my travels for accommodation and a trekking tour of Mt Rinjani. He was patient and responsive to my requests and questions and everything was as we agreed upon when I arrived.

The trekking tour itself was well-organised with capable and friendly guides and porters. The tent and sleeping bag that was provided kept me warm while camping overnight at the crater rim. Complete meals served with fresh fruits and vegetables provided good nutrition for the trek.

Buana and his relative Yaacob who helps to run the homestay are also keen hosts happy to share more about the way of life of the locals and I learnt a lot from them enriching my experience in Lombok as they invited me a visit to a rice field and I got to try some of the local rice wine.

My girlfriend and I stayed with Aprill Trekking for one night and then went on the 3d 2n trek organised by them.

They were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout. Jacob (not sure of spelling) who greeted us was so nice and thoughtful, giving us food, telling us about the local waterfalls and taking us to see the sunset. A very nice man and we were very grateful.

The trek was also very well organised. We felt looked after throughout, our guide Hasan spoke excellent English and was very friendly. We also had our transport to Mataram included in the price which made things much simpler after a very tiring three days.

Overall, Aprill Trekking provided a really excellent service.

I would say the one disappointing thing about the Rinjani trek generally was how busy it was on the first day and hiking up to the summit, but there's obviously nothing the trekking company can do about that. There were a lot fewer people on the second and third days which made it more calm and enjoyable. In spite of how busy it was, our guide still made it feel easy and less stressful, helping us go past slower groups at a faster pace.

We have done the 2-day, 1-night trek to the Rinjani crater and it has been an amazing experience. Everything was perfectly organized with the porters and cooks who made us delicious meals and dinner, they set up the tents with mattresses and sleeping bags and with our Wadi guide who explained everything we asked him. Highly recommended, although it is very cold in the crater in the morning, dress warmly.

Everything was smooth and nice. I've got some sweets and fruits extra for the trip.
Price was also quite competitive.

Short version - This was amazing!

Long version - Me and my partner did the two day one night hike up to the crater rim, it was an amazing experience. I’ll go though day by day.
Day 1: get picked up from Senggigi and travel to Tiu Kelep homestay in Senaru (this was included in the price). Once settled Yacub took us on a tour of a local rice terrace and even scaled a palm tree to get us a coconut. We then went to sunset hill and drank the coconut while watching the sunset before returning to pack for the trek the next day.
Day 2, the hike: we had breakfast at 7am before meeting our guide (Wadi) for the trek and then being driven to the Rinjani park gate. The route up the mountain started through the rainforest so kept us out of the sun and it was pretty steep! About 1/3 of the way up we stopped for a lunch which the porters cooked fresh, it was delicious and gave us lots of energy for the rest of the climb. The climb was a good challenge and Wadi kept us going with water refills and snacks.
At about 14: 30 we reached the crater rim, it is an amazing, otherworldly sight that I will treasure forever. The amazing porters had already set up our camp (tent, table and chairs etc) from which we had a superb view of the crater. At about 18: 00 and with the sun setting we had dinner, a lovely (again freshly made) curry.
Day 3: we woke up early and watched the sun rise with a coffee and some breakfast before starting our decent around 7. We stopped for another cooked and delicious meal close to the bottom before being taken back to the homestay. Once back, after resting for a bit, Yacub took us on a very fun tour of the local waterfalls.

We had the best experience with Aprill Trekking, everyone we met along the way was super kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Aprill Trekking to anyone wanting to climb Mount Rinjani and also to everyone visiting Indonesia. This is not something to miss!

Since I was limited in time, they advised me to take a shorter walk to Pergasingan Hill. A great hike! We left around 3am, hiked about 2.5 - 3 hours to the top from where we watched the sunrise! Definitely recommended if you are short on time or don't have the equipment to go to Mount Rinjani.

A super guide and water and snacks were provided!

We booked the 3 days and 2 nights trekking.
We are satisfied by the experience. Food was abundant and snacks too. Only the breakfasts could have been better, but still ok. Water was enough (from new bottles the first day and from springs the following days, but we had no intestinal problems whatsoever), and fruits abondant too!
In short, camping-cooking is difficult, but we received anyway good meals all things considered.
The tents are good and the sleeping bags are very warm and clean.
Our group was very heterogeneous, so the guide also had hard times following us, but the way is pretty straightforward, so we always felt safe.
I personally would recommend the 2 days 1 night, or maybe still a 3 days and 2 nights but avoiding the Rinjani summit. The whole way up to the summit is a nightmare, very dusty and extremely overcrowded. We were not very fit but we did not have physical problems reaching it. It's just the quality of the trek that's very low. Instead, the inner crater is beautiful, from the lake to the hot springs, as well as flora and fauna, but we were quite tired to enjoy it fully.
The 2 campings are indeed in amazing locations, we had awesome sunsets, way better than the sunrises. Trekking poles are a must, Imo.
The general hygiene on the mountain can be improved, starting from the toilet (you'll just use a hole in the ground, that not all the companies close it afterwards), but I suppose that's not Aprill-Trekking's fault.

I did the 2 days trekking to the crater rim and it was fantastic! The guys helped me trough it and in the morning the view was incredible. The tent set up was perfect as was the food!

Really enjoyable experience. Guide and porters were very nice and friendly. Summit is a tough but rewarding hike!

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night in the home stay before going for a 3 days/2 nights trek in Rinjani. Yacob was very nice and welcoming with us. He took us to see the sunset and cooked delicious noodles for us!

It was very easy to organise the trek with Aprill Trekking and they made sure we had all the necessary equipment before leaving.

We had an amazing experience with the guide and the team of porters in Rinjani. Hasan (the guide) was very thoughtful, available and made sure everyone was feeling okay the whole time. The team of porters do a very impressive job carrying all the stuff through the mountain and they cooked very good food!

I would recomand it 100%

I booked through their home stay (which is highly recommendable as well).
The trek to the Rinjani summit went smoothly. Pick up was on time, good explanations throughout the hike, guides always made sure no one was left behind and, most importantly, they took care of their/our garbage.
Be aware that the last section to the top can get very crowded though!
