This is a stunning stay, one of the best we had in Lombok, made most unique by the fact that we were supposedly the first to stay at this new resort. They are still putting on the finishing touches on this resort with the reception desk almost ready. This hotel is waiting to be discovered, I will tell you why.

First off, you should not try to drive to this resort unless you have a 4x4, due to the muddied roads that can get worst with rain. We were lucky to not have much rain, though the trails is still filled with mud and we barely made it with our Avanza. It is easier to contact the hotel for a pick up from the airport, or a nearby town.

Second, due to the remote location of this resort, the beach (technically not a private beach but it doesn't have much traffic) is the best we have visited. It has big waves and shallow shores, with sand naturally piled on the shores that it forms quite an interesting slope downwards to the sea. The sand itself is unique. It is spherical in shape made from corals which has undergone lots of friction from the waves. The beach is also flanked by two cliffs on each sides, which makes it all the more scenic. If you are up for it, you can also trek even further south to an amazing look out point over an outcrop (we didn't do this but saw fantastic pictures of it).

Third, the staff while we were there were really friendly. Well, we were the only guests during the time we were there, and they gave us the full attention, attending to our needs and helping us to fend off an overly friendly wild dog while we were on the beach.

Fourth, the sunset is amazing. One of the best place for sunset in Lombok, looking out to the wide and open sea.

Fifth, we were really grateful to them upgrading us to a family room. Everything was new in the room (including the shower soap bottles which were newly opened by us). It was also spacious, with a living room, plus two bedrooms.

Sixth, the food is not the most amazing Michelin standards, but they do offer yummy dishes in their menu. The breakfast though, is something else (it was sumptuous for us!) and they actually bring it to the room for comfort!

Seventh, this is probably the longest review I have wrote about on an accomodation so if you are still deciding whether to give this place a try, take the plunge before it gets popular (if they actually fix the road, it should get more traffic, but that's also part of the charm of the area).

Bonus: No mosquitoes in the hot & rainy season while we were there, a big plus!

I wish the management all the best in creating a sustainable resort business at this remote location
