Divine Divers Resort

We came to Gili Meno, looking for a peaceful and quiet place to rest… And we almost didn’t want to leave at the end!
We decided to “try” diving and ended up with not one but two completed courses and a prolonged stay.
Sahrim was the best (diving) teacher one could imagine. He was so calm and attentive even though I was so nervous before my first dive. I ended up loving it so much. Even during a more “complicated” situation (my torch fell out during night dive), Sahrim responded quickly but calm, super professional and kind.
Thank you again, Sahrim, for showing us “a new world”, we will surely never forget about this in our lives Hope to come back some day…

We just finished a week’s stay and diving with Divine Divers who operate from Gili Meno (off north Lombok). We’ve dived all over Indonesia and our experience with Divine was one of the best we’ve had. Becky and Jens run a tight ship and the service is friendly and efficient. But they go out of their way to make you feel more like a friend than a guest. The rooms are clean and neat, everything works and everyone on staff is helpful and happy to chat - great culture. The food at Bubbles was amazingly good - a fusion of Indonesian and western - and all very fresh. We had fun with Divine Divers and I recommend them if you are wanting to dive in the Gilis.

Excellent dive shop, very relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. I did my Rescue course with Momo and he made me feel very relaxed throughout it but always challenged me to make sure I really knew my stuff and felt confident in emergency situations. I would recommend this dive shop to anyone traveling Lombok / the Gilis and will definitely be back.

Very friendly people! Our guide was awesome and we had a beautiful dive. If we are ever at the Gili islands again we will certainly come back.

I completed my open water course at Divine Divers last week with Sahrim as my instructor and what an incredible experience! Sahrim was so experienced; knowledgeable and patient, and I felt so safe and comfortable diving with him. We were very lucky to come across four manta rays on my third dive during their migration, a very special experience. Thank you to Becky and Sahrim and the Divine Divers team, I cannot wait to come back soon!

Becky and her crew are great! We rounded off our trip to Indonesia in June with a stay of several days in Gili-Meno, but had some difficulties beforehand because our tour operator wasn't suitable. Becky helped us with words and deeds and gave us good tips for getting there and also for things to do on the program in Java and Bali.

I then took a diving course on Gili Meno, where Momo prepared me for everything in detail and responsibly. And then we went to the diving spots: whether in Turtle City or at the shipwreck, even my girlfriend, who has been diving for years, has never seen so many turtles! That was an amazing experience!

In any case, many thanks again to the whole team, I felt safe and in good hands at all times and we look back fondly on the time!:)

We have loved our stay here! Everyone is so friendly - owner, dive instructors, and staff:) Wonderful service all around. The rooms here are modern, clean and the bed is very comfy.

I am doing my Advanced Open Water course here and it has been so fun! I have felt safe & taken care of on all the dives. So much magic to see in the water here:)

The restaurant, Bubbles, is a gem as well. I have enjoyed each item on the menu I’ve ordered. Favorites are spicy corn, eggplant burrito and the nutty dragon smoothie. Dika at the restaurant was always very helpful too.

Thank you very much for giving my 11 year old a great experience doing his first ever dive at your resort. Johan managed the training in the pool and the ocean dive brilliantly. My son was very happy to have been swimming «with the turtles» (at least one), the others were on the bottom. He is very proud now to have been 10meters deep. All the best

We had a perfect stay at Divine Divers in Gili Meno! Our diving experience with Alex was fund and exciting and we always felt really save. The staff is friendly and will make you feel at home from the first moment on. The food, the coffee, location and the rooms are great. We would highly recommend it:)

Wonderful stay at Divine Divers. The room and bathroom were clean. The resort is ON the beach, both cafe next doors serve great food. We did not dive but snorkeled and were welcomed as warmly as any divers. Sarah gave us great snorkeling tips for around the island. On our first snorkel we saw two turtles! Highly recommended. Thank you!

After getting our OWD certification at this dive center 3 years ago, we decided to come back for the advanced course. To our surprise we noticed that management and the whole staff had changed. They even had rebuilt the place. Expectations were quite high from our last experience with this company and what can I say. Sarah and Jörg easily managed to exceed them! Sarah is a top notch and fun instructor who really helped us improve our diving skills. What we also appreciated was her attention to safety aspects.
We can’t recommend this dive center enough!

We spent a very chilled day diving with these guys, everything was done for us! Very organised and thorough compared to most diving in Asia It would be a great place to do a course especially when the new building with dive pool is finished.

I'm so happy that we chose this place for our Open water PADI! The team, Joerg, Sarah and Carla helped us with everything, even finding an accommodation. They welcomed us from the moment we arrived! Sarah was our instructor, she is an amazing, fun and patient teacher. She went an extra mile for me as I had problems with taking off the mask under water. She took extra time to practice together with me and encouraged me. Even Joerg as manager spent some extra practice time with me. They really try to adjust the course to your individual needs. The dive sites are great, there is a lot to discover. The location of the diving school is just perfect, lots of dive sites very close. I can't recommend it enough! Dear team, thank you so much for your efforts, the time we spent together and for this great experience! Succeeded all my expectations!

Tldr:
- Somehow weird/tense atmosphere. Whole team (apparently all new) does not seem to want to be there.
- No real suggestions or planning for our dives
- Inexperienced young guide
- 1 out of 3 dives went pretty wrong

+ 2 great nice fun dives with turtles and sharks
+ probably really good and professional (German) for courses (not so much for fun dives)

New german manager. Somehow not too great with people. Spanish instructor that likes to hear himself talk and knows a lot (and all of it better than everyone else for sure ;-)
Itialian instructor - did an owd course seemed pretty good. Young balinese divemaster - very nice girl.
All very organized and professional when it comes to safety procedures. Probably a great place to do a certification.
The website says there is no time limit until your group is getting low on air - that's changed to max 60min now.
Had two very nice dives with the young divemaster.
Last dive was a bit more advanced - did it again with the Balinese girl. Unfortunately she misjudged the current and we never actually made it to the dive site. Gave up fighting the current at some point - we drifted for a while to then turn back to fight the exact same way back again (almost same depth - exactly the same current) until we were low on air and had to surface. So if you see it as a cardio exercise it's okay - for a dive less great.

The Team is absolutely Professional and Long Time ago we saw a Dive school which vmake a Buddy Check before every Dive.

Wow, what happened to that place compared to the other recommendations? That school unfortunately has a very bad vibe! For learning to dive probably still great because the instructors seem very good (if you can stand the bad vibe, that is!), but for fun dives not recommended.

DIVING SCHOOL:
The school has a new manager since 1 month, and it seems as if he and the other foreign diving instructors completely destroyed the general vibe in the diving school. From the very beginning, the instructors were in a very bad mood, presumably because there are no customers and they are all on the jump for their next job.
Anyways, we saw one student and he had a good course, they are very exact in teaching so you can be sure to get the basics.

OUR SITUATION:
Our group asked for an experienced dive master to show us diverse dive sites during our limited dive time. Day 1 was ok. The next day we wanted to do an advanced dive which includes a drop in the blue along a boie. They sent us with the most inexperienced dive master, who had before mentioned concerns not to find the dive site. (Fun fact: no other customer was present that day, so all the experienced instructors would have been free for doing the dive with us.) Due to the concerns the DM planned the dive with a 15 minutes swim against strong current at 22 m depth. Of course we were not able to reach the dive site, but went with the current for a couple of hundred meters. There, the DM decided to switch and swim back against the current for 20 minutes. After 40 minutes of swimming against the current - surprise surprise - we ran out of air and had to surface.
We are all physically fit (regularly mountaineering and running), but it was not manageable to do the dive the way it was planned.

Any experienced diver would have understood that the starting place was chosen completely wrong and switched sites when still being on the boat. Unfortunately this did not happen, and we ended up having a horrible dive.

FINAL WORDS:
We are very glad nothing bad happened but really recommend you to check out the place, the employees and not let yourself be fooled into a really bad dive experience. Probably, you’re able to find other good dives schools around Gili Meno or Gili T.
