Em Adventure: Mount Rinjani trekking tour company

Em adventure is a fantastic group! They handled everything from accommodation, food to itinerary. If you are hesitating and choosing between different tour groups, you certainly won’t be disappointed with Em!

My friend and I did the 3d2n trek. When we landed in Lombok international airport, a driver was there to pick us up to the homestay whr we were greeted by lovely hosts. Then the next day at 9am we begin our trek to the base camp with 1 guide and 2 porters. I had cramps on the way up and definitely would not have been able to make it to base camp if it weren’t for the constant motivation and care given by my guide aldi! The 2 porters were really friendly and amazing cooks as well! They cooked multiple dishes from mee goreng to fried rice and provided us with hot tea and fruits to ensure we are always well energised for the trek! At the end of the hike, we were also allowed to shower at the homestay before the driver sent us back to our hotel!

10/10 would book with EM adventure again if I were to summit rinjani!

I was hesitating for a long time I wasn't really sure if it was worth it because it was starting to rain a little bit so I'll leave here my experiencie with Em:

Em picked me up in the harbour with a big smile (even tho he had to wait for me for a long time) and he was always close and kind. I stayed in a homestay in his village (included in the price) that was perfect! And we started the trekking the day after that.

My experience with my guide (Dedi) and my porters (Gam and Susan) was 10/10. They had good vibes since the first step untill the last.

The food was reaaaaally good! Maybe one of the best local food I've had so far. Regarding the amount of food. It was more than enough! So forget about bringing your own snacks if you book with Em.

I feel grateful that I could share such an amazing experience with them

I'm travelling alone, but if you are part of a group, I would highly recommend to spend as much time as possible talking with your guide/porters. It is a really immersive experience.

If you are planning to do the Rinjani trek, you must choose Em Adventures. The whole trek felt like a 5 star trip because of the best service from our guide Nas and our two porters who carried all our food, tent, sleeping bags etc. They will pick you up from anywhere in Lombok and when we arrived in Sembalun we got a heartfelt welcome from Em himself. He answered all our questions and don't worry: the whole team speaks pretty good English. I was also able to borrow walking sticks and a warm jacket. We had a lot of fun with our guide in particular, who kept an eye on us to adjust our pace. One of the porters could also work as a cook, as I've never had such delicious food in Indonesia before. My friend had an accident with his leg, so the guide decided to adapt the route. We arrived in Torean, where our driver met us and took us to Em's house, where he picked up our lagguage.
After that you can choose where the driver drops you off (again, anywhere in Lombok). Thanks for everything!

It has been a unique experience visiting Rinjani Mountain with this company. The staff is very very friendly and always concerned about our well-being. The food was very delicious and both the guide and the porters were very friendly. 100% recommendable. Greetings to Aldi and his team

We did 3D2N, with incredible treatment from the moment they picked us up until they dropped us off at the next destination. Our guide was Aldi and the porters (they are superhuman), attentive at all times, delicious food and incredible experience. We will never forget this.

I booked the backpacker price (120 USD)
The tent I shared with 2 strangers had mold and the zip was broken so the tent was open all night;
I said when booking that I wanted hiking poles. The morning of the trek i asked for them and the guy made me feel like i didnt need them, maybe cause he didnt have any, idk, so i didnt insist and regret it (we do need them, trust me, Ive done many treks and with that elevation gain it's way better with poles) ;
They didnt do any verification for our materials, a girl of the group just had a hoodie and she was freezing, I gave her one of the layer I had (others guides I saw at my hotel did a gear check up with their clients) ;
They told me pick up at 7, the driver who was there at 7: 30 didnt know my name, asked for 2 people when I was alone, and didnt know which compagnie I had booked with. At the office we waited 1 hour before leaving, waiting for the porters. I would have taken that 90 minutes more sleep.
The guide was walking too fast. I can handle it, but the hike is less fun when your heart is pumping.
The talk about the trek the day before at the office lasted 90 secondes (it was not with the guide it was with random guy at office). At my hotel i Saw guides giving talk for 10 minutes. I didnt know how long was the truck ride for exemple and many others things. I love datas and i love to look at my Garmin to know how much left. I asked how many KM till the summit, the guy said 9 when it was around 14 km (it was 2 weeks ago so i dont remember exactly.
They make you drink water from the moutain without purification.

The guide and the porters were really sweet and the food good.

We did the Rinjani 3D/2N trek, leaving from Sembalum and arriving in Senaru. The organization was perfect, from our pick-up at the Bangsal port to our return to the hotel.
The whole team is very attentive. Pam our guide was great throughout this trek as were the porters who do an incredible job.
We don't miss anything, meals and snacks varied and in ample quantity. Top camping equipment to face cool nights.
Don’t worry, the guide adapts to your pace. The landscapes are magnificent and the panorama at the top is a great reward. Great experience!
