Gerupuk Alon Surf School

I really recommend surfing with Alon! We had a great experience and really enjoyed the time we spent on the water catching the waves. Our group was mixed abilities but this did not matter - beginners or more experienced surfers were welcome and Alon and colleagues were able to cater to the needs of the group! He is very passionate about surfing and really helps with your technique - I felt my confidence improved during the session! Would really recommend and will hopefully be back! Thank you.

I've been to Lombok for 3 surf trips so far and have had them as guides and they've been very friendly and helpful. I can speak Japanese quite well, so it is especially recommended for Japanese people who are not good at English or Indonesian! If you tell us your wishes, such as lessons for beginners or points you want to visit, they will respond flexibly according to the situation. In addition to surfing, if you ask anything you need for your stay in Grupukku, they will teach you and make arrangements. (airport to hotel transfers, rental of boards and bikes with surfboard racks, etc.)
Grupuk's waves are of high quality, but they can get quite crowded, so if you're not an advanced surfer, it's better to have a guide help you enjoy surfing. While surfing, the guide will work with other guides to tell you what waves to ride and your positioning, and sometimes give you a push.
Our guide, Charon, is a surfing enthusiast, but he is also a professional fisherman. I brought my own fishing gear, so he invited me to go fishing on a boat right after surfing. I was able to catch tuna and aochibiki in less than an hour! Grupuk seems to be a place where you can catch 20-30kg tuna and GT. If you like fishing, please contact us. It was a great experience

Gerupuk Surf School with Alon was awesome. We were the first on the water and had the waves to ourselves. He is super flexible in terms of time. He tells you in advance what time the wave is at its best.

He is a great surf teacher, has fair prices and is super nice.

Surfing with Alon was great!
He is super nice and very encouraging, he always tells you when to take a wave and where to paddle so you can catch it at the perfect point. I really improved my surfing and wave reading this week.
He is super flexible with his time and if you want to surf 3 times a day, he will take you out every time, even when it’s still dark outside at 5: 30.
I definitely recommend Alon to everyone coming to Gerupuk, he is just a super nice and chill guy who loves to surf.
