Heartbeach Lombok , Surfschool

We went to Lombok in January and decided to take lessons at Heartbeach Lombok Surf Academy. The instructors were really friendly and encouraging, and were incredibly skilled. They helped us to progress quickly, and always kept a lookout for us to ensure our safety. The beach was also beautiful, and the experience was wonderful! There was also hotel pickup, which was really convenient.

Would recommend Heartbeach to all my family and friends. Had a great experience and ended up extending my stay to surf more with them! Have been to a few surf camps before and this was by far my favourite. The instructors are super friendly and helpful - offering constructive feedback and advice. Will hopefully be back soon!

Great surf school with very friendly and personable coaches. We didn't spend the night in the camp, but we were able to register for the sessions via WhatsApp the day before and were then picked up from the hotel the next day. We had a total of 6 sessions and at the end we got both a special bundle prize and Heartbeach T-shirts. Super nice!

My cheeks still hurt from laughing so much! Our surf instructors were always singing and joking around. They had us catching waves right away and catching HUGE waves on my last day! I made new friends each day and can’t wait to go back!

These people are awesome! We took surf lessons for the whole family over two days and it was a lot of fun. The first day we went to beautiful Selong Blanak, small waves that break on the shore (perfect for a refresh) and the second day the team drove us to Tanjung Aan beach to surf in open water. Super friendly service, well organised and truly fun. Ewan is a great guy with a great heart and sense of humour. The whole team is fabulous and adults and kids alike got a lot out of these lessons!

We had only great experiences with the Heartbeach Surf Academy! These folks really know their stuff when it comes to catching the best waves. What sets them apart is the personalized 1-on-2 guidance they provide – it's like having your own surf mentor. They pick you up from the hotel, provide surfboards, and cater to individual preferences at the surf spots.

A big shoutout to Jonny, who served as our guide on every surf excursion. His passion and leadership helped us improve immensely.

We had a blast with everyone every time. Thanks a lot for some epic surf sessions! You are doing a great job, guys.

Had a fantastic experience surfing in Lombok with the Heartbeach team. A wonderful group of instructors that bring a positive energy to every session. The instructor to student ratio is 1 to 2, which means you’re rarely left waiting and always learning. There’s something for every level of surfer, and I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to these guys when I return to Lombok. Thank you!

They learned me to love surfing. Before I didn’t like it that much but only by taking 3 lessons with them I made great progress in my physical and mental surf skills.

Their vibes and mindset are inspiring - great teachers about surfing and (the easy) life.

Highly recommended surf school in the centre of Kuta. The boys are really amazing, they know everything about the ocean, the waves, the techniques and they are all pro surfers and surfing competitions. They really make you feel safe in the water.
With my big fear of the ocean I started with surfclass in a retreat at Heartbeach. I started on a beach break with a soft top board and 10 days later rolling the waves on a small hardtop board in the open ocean. Such an amazing experience and very happy with this new addiction ‍️
Ps they also organize amazing days trips with fish bbq on the beach and organize kids surf classes.

We had a good time and appreciated a lot of things about Heartbeach surfschool:
- we experienced a lot of different spots in 2 weeks
- the surfteachers are locals and know all spots very well and they are very good surfers
- we were challenged by going to a bit more difficult spots
- they encouraged us to try a different board (soft- to hardboard / or get a smaller board)
- they have always chosen a spot that is save
- sunrise session at 6am was great
- a bbq at the beach was organised by the school. We enjoyed sunset and had delicious food together
- we also liked the possibility of being picked up or dropped of from our accomodation
- the photoanalyse was helpful to realise mistakes and to improve accordingly

We found heart beach Lombok via instagram and TripAdvisor. A lot of good reviews made us choose this surfschool and we are glad we did! We had an amazing time surfing with all the
staff members who are very nice and help you very well in the sea. We never surfed before. But they had a good program of introducing you to small waves, longer waves, waves with
more power on different kinds of surfboard. This way you can adjust your lessons depending on your level. After the surf lessons they are always down to do something if you ask them. Make a bonfire, go to a village or drink a beer. It's a perfect way to meet other travelers and locals. We had the nicest week
here in Kuta Lombok because of them.

Amazing experience I had with Heartbeach Lombok!
Since I firstly contact them asking for information. Everything was easy. They picked me up from the guesthouse and toke me to Gerupuk which was an amazing spot with good and fun waves. I enjoyed a lot with the guys giving the lesson and I repeated it again. Macado, Emine, Dris and Bul…amazing people ️
I’m intermediate and for me it has been the safe and the best surfing days so far.

Finally have my own experience for surfing! Incredible staff (thanks Imin for your patience haha), great waves in Selong Belanak, eventhough I was only able to stand on the surfboard thrice, I will definitely try again next time!

I absolutely loved my lessons with these instructors! I had Bul and Bob and both were so fun and great instructors! All of them have such a good personality and are so knowledgeable about surfing! They guide you and teach you the basics and then advance you based on your skill. I loved getting to know them, and they made my time in Lombok one that I will never forget! If you want to learn how to surf or to get better at surfing, I cannot recommend them enough!

Good experience with Heartbeach Lombok! They picked us up at accommodation, drove to the beginners spot and provided all needed equipment. Our instructor Bob was really cool and made it a very fun experience!

Last month we have had surfinglessons at Hearthbeach Lombok. Although just surfinglessons isn't the correct description. You become part of this group of friends of Hearthbeach Lombok instructors. Surfing, bonfire, Bintang, laughs. What more could a human desire?

The surfinglessons are adjusted to your surfing experience. My fiancé (thank you, @Eline) is an intermediaire level surfer so they went to a beach with appropriate waves. As where I went to a beginnersbeach. I tried surfing before in Portugal but I had a hard time standing up. However with the help of Bob from Hearthbeatch I was standing after 30 min (credits to Bob!).

We really enjoyed the lessons, where having a great time is a priority at Hearthbeach. We recommend Hearthbeach Lombok for surving and wish you alot of fun!

Very good surf school! My friends and I had two surf lessons with Blackie. It was an incredible experience, good vibes and great explanation from him. The whole school team was great and listening and always smiling! The spot was super cool and adapted to our level. I highly recommend terima kasih

Great group of guys. I booked a couple lessons and each time took me to the best spots for the conditions that day, had a decent choice of boards to choose from, and gave me good tips in the water. Hope I can surf with them again next time!
